Whatโs Your Favorite Decade of TV, and Why?
Knight Plug replied to killamch89's topic in Movies & TV
The 2000s were brilliant too, as you had Sky One with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Pokรจmon, and it was also the time I got hooked on VH1 Classic. A pre-YouTube kind of thing where you watched retro music videos amid those annoying ads, like Crazy Frog. Then I got into survival horror games and horror movies, which brought me to trying to obtain every top ten film in America since box office records began in 1922. So the journey has been both fun and rather costly. -
Quincy Jones, who produced that record, recently passed away. ๐ฅบ

Whatโs Your Favorite Decade of TV, and Why?

The 90's, for sure. ITV was actually compelling entertainment back then. ๐ฅฒ -
Yes. ๐ That's an honest way to make a living. ๐ค https://youtu.be/8toBVYDKukU?feature=shared

How do you feel about retro-inspired music today?
Knight Plug replied to killamch89's topic in Music
"APT" by Bruno Mars is basically copying other songs of the era. Although I do recall Juice Newton copying a song by the band called Bread. So this kind of thing is commonplace in the industry. ๐ https://youtube.com/shorts/LGwl6mHIn6U?feature=shared -
Probably not. But I feel the same way about Capcom, because their older games were better too. They basically ruined them by changing the storyline, and recasting the roles. Survival horror really died off in 2005, because of RE4. Everyone tried to make their game like it afterwards. So RE4 was essentially the start of the action-horror era, where the main style of gameplay was just linear and all about shooting.

They do. I prefer watching old movies. I think the 70s and the 80s has the best horror and action films. The 90s is decent. I love the 50s, but never get my expectations high as they were never too violent. But then it's all pot luck in the 2020s.

Yeah. She said it was for her son, who lives up the road near my local hospital. But she advertised a flat at the other end of town. So I walked there with my sister, thinking we had agreed on a suitable time to look at her apartment. Then I had to walk back. She called me back and then said her son does not like my area. I was like, sure, but my time really got wasted. ๐ตโ๐ซ

A few, I guess. I usually get up at 9.

Yes. It is getting a bit colder. But it ain't too bad yet in Scotland. I was hoping to move this year, but it hasn't panned out yet. If somebody wants an exchange, they should advertise the correct flat on the street where they reside. I had the run around a few weeks ago when the woman said her son did not like my area, but the ad had her flat as being in a different location. How silly is that? ๐ค

I completed SH2 last week. I achieved the "Leave" ending. And I think this is the happiest ending as well.
-
Yes. I am sure Konami is aware of the great amount of positive feedback for SH2, and will likely collaborate with Bloober Team again for a remake of the first game. I also wouldn't mind if they still allowed indie development teams to work on side games. But we still haven't gotten any news on f yet, or Townfall.
-
Resident Evil remakes are still gonna be coming. If only because they know people will buy them regardless of cut areas, and so on. But you see, I think they're shitbags in that they'll probably decide to pointlessly remake RE1 again, and probably omit some bosses, and have you buying DLC. I think Bloober Team would be able to do a better job, but of course they aren't contracted to Capcom.
-
I'd have to think. I know I definitely have seen a lot of boring movies. Longlegs didn't do much for me last week.

Jackie Chan, Sly and Arnie. Childhood classics. Essential 1980s. ๐

Tried the Alan Wake 2 DLC belatedly, but I'm still waiting on the new update completing in order to play 'The Lake House' chapter. Really brutal zombies. You have to shoot them with a shotgun at the closest range or it just feels ineffective. But the waitress is a funny lady, who thinks she is made for something other than serving in a diner. She really admires Alan. I don't know if these Night Spring episodes are actually fully canonical. They are more like "What if?" scenarios.

Resident Evil 9 could be revealed very soon!
Knight Plug replied to Knight Plug's topic in Gaming News
Funnily enough, despite "werewolves" being an unlikely fit for the RE universe, there was a one-shot comic once that was about the myth. Fortunately, this wasn't canon. Not even in the slightest. It was probably not well received, due to how ridiculous it came across as. ๐บ ๐ค https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Werewolf Yes. Capcom returns to 1998 more times than I return to the chiller cabinet in my nearest Tesco. But the idea of a werewolf being in Raccoon City maybe isn't so dumb, if you think of how a wolf's DNA could be spliced with one of Umbrella's many viruses. There was a dino man as a boss in RE6, after all. ๐คฃ OK. Just what the heck was that about? That ain't the Dino Crisis reboot fans have been holding out hope for. Is it? ๐ฆ -
I'm not going to post my usual gob shite about Capcom, because if you know, you just know. ๐ But if Capcom takes a page out of Bloober Team's book, they'll do just fine for future sequels and remakes. As for the plot... While I haven't got a clue what it concerns, I really hope they aim to return to the blue Umbrella storyline that 7 started, because it seemed interesting to have Chris distrusting the BSAA after having been one of their primary agents. It wasn't really brought up in 8, since that game focused on Ethan finding Rosemary in Europe. Jill is back, at last, sweaty vest and all. But come on. Give her new clothes, FFS. She had the same outfit from 1998 in 2015. Or at least it looks the same to me. ๐คฃ https://comicbook.com/gaming/news/resident-evil-9-ix-reveal-tease/

So after leaving the alternated hospital in SH2, I get mobbed in the streets by nurses and legs, and God knows what else that isn't pleased to see me. No fair. ๐
