  1. Xbox 360 seems ancient now but it's actually a very recent memory for me, and probably others too. What is/was your favourite game on the Xbox 360? There's plenty of contenders for that title in my library. GTA IV was a nice game, though short-lived because the disc broke within a few months of playing the game. I had some really good racing games too, PG4 was fun. Splinter Cell Conviction was my personal favourite.
  2. What are some games or a game that you are insanely good at? For me, it has to be FIFA 20. I've been good at Fifa in general since FIFA 16, but I have truly mastered FIFA 20. I can proudly and arrogantly say that I am unbeatable lol.
  3. I prefer SMGs on all shooting games. I lack the precision to use a shotgun well, unless it's a tactical shotgun (like on Fortnite). SMGs require the least amount of skill since you're just spraying bullets - that works best for me.
  4. Red Dead Redemption 2. If you haven't seen me say it enough around the forum, I love it, haha.
  5. I'm shocked that the British pound is worth more than the American dollar, especially involving the whole situation with Brexit and COVID-19 at the moment. You guys must be doing something really special to be worse than us right now haha. Your last point is spot on. Don't think any of us care about American politics, but mocking Trump seems to be a global trend.
  6. The newest season of Fortnite will be out tomorrow (June 17th). It is pretty much confirmed that the map will be flooded (I'm still not sure how it will work) and Aquaman will be the new 'special' character, like Deadpool was in Chapter 2 Season 2. I think it's incredible how Epic have maintained Fortnite at the level it is at for this long, and it doesn't seem to be deteriorating any time soon. That poses the big question: what are your thoughts on Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3?
  7. Ghosts? Surely not? How do they fit into the theme of RDR2? I haven't seen this but sounds like something that is either too good to be true or an awful idea.
  8. Red Dead Redemption 2 - I heard great things about the game so finally decided to play it after some words of encouragement from some fellow VGR members, and it has certainly lived up to the excitement I had for the game. I'm still in early stages, so the game will probably get better as I complete more of the story but it definitely has the potential to far exceed my expectations.
  9. Quite a lot younger than you by the sound of it haha. I'm 18. PS2 is my earliest memory of (actually playing on) a console. Even a Game Boy is quite old for me, but I've heard of it a lot. An Atari must be ancient.
  10. You can stream for an hour or two in multiple games, doesn't necessarily have to be the same game. I don't understand your point, how is a 200 player game mode more suitable for younger people?
  11. That depends on you as a person. Personally I procrastinate when spending a lot of money on a game, so user reviews play a part in my decision of buying/not buying the game. Sure, the world may hate it and you may love it, but if the world hates it, it says something about the game.
  12. Indeed. So far, it is amazing - well and truly worth the hype. The cinematics, the gameplay, everything is a masterpiece. Rockstar may have outdone GTA V in the form of RDR2. Wish I had played this sooner!
  13. That's an extreme reaction haha, but I've experienced something of the sort myself too. Auto-saving is your best friend in that situation.
  14. Same reason why people buy expensive clothes. They can get the same thing for much cheaper, but it looks and feels better. It's psychological, people want to look and feel better.
  15. Haha I can understand. Some people game so much, it becomes personal. When you attack their gaming, you are personally attacking that individual. A non-gamer may think of this as insane but if you're a gamer, you will most likely know.
  16. I second this. Better safe than sorry, I knock things over very easily, unintentionally, I wouldn't want my £300+ console to be one of those things. Also, particularly in the PS4, the cooling system is on the sides (when placed horizontally). By placing it vertically you would be directly blocking air from leaving the PS4 and over time, leading to overheating.
  17. FIFA 20. Made me jump out of my chair not because it’s good but out of anger and frustration. So many glitches for a game of its reputation. The worst part is EA won’t do anything about it.
  18. I think I might be the only one who has never played Minecraft. I’ve had the opportunity to play plenty of times, but it just never interested me enough to play. Maybe that phase was childhood which has now passed haha.
  19. I played one of the games in the Grand Turismo series on my Xbox 360 a long time ago, can’t remember which one. Haven’t played one since then, or any racing games so Grand Turismo 7 seems like a nice way to get back into racing games.
  20. So, longer games? Personally I’m not a fan of longer games. I think it kills the beauty of the game - when it’s too long it gets boring. I thought 150 was 50 too much. 200? Unnecessary, in my opinion.
  21. I’m not surprised. G2A always seemed dodgy to me. I’ve never used G2A, but the website I buy off probably does the same thing, so I’m probably being hypocritical lol.
  22. I don’t have such a deep reason for gaming. I play games for enjoyment when I’m bored, but I can understand why people using gaming for escapism, I sort of do that with tv shows/movies but not games.
  23. I’ve heard rumours that the PS5 will cost around £500. Hopefully that includes the package (controllers + games) because £500 for just the console would be way too expensive. It will sell nonetheless, but £350ish for just the console is reasonable and ideal.
  24. Yes actually. Back in the day FIFA (sports genre) was my favourite game. I still play FIFA but I wouldn’t call it my favourite game anymore. I never liked battle royale/shooting games before but Fortnite has changed my perception of that genre. Fortnite is probably my favourite game at the moment.
  25. I don’t experience lag anymore but I know all about it. From FIFA to Fortnite - lag kills your enjoyment. I’ve also experienced game crashes on my PS4 a few times. Game crashes are just as annoying as lag, or even worse if you haven’t saved your progress and the game crashes.
