  1. I jumped into some Cyberpunk 2077 and have The Medium installed and ready to play, but I haven't touched it yet. Looking to try it soon though. ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. I haven't purchased a new game in years. I got some games from friends so I wouldn't count those. I don't even buy most games priced at $60 these days. It has to be a really good game for me to shell out that amount. As well, I have stuff like Gamepass and I never feel like I need to even buy games anymore. And if I really want to buy a game, I often wait for a sale, or buy it used.
  3. What games would you guys like to see ported to mobile? Maybe some classic PS3/Xbox 360 games, or even games on last gen consoles? We already got the likes of GTA San Andreas, GTA III, and I think Vice City as well? I forget. Anyway, I'd love to see GTA IV on mobile, maybe even all the saint's row games. Even Half Life 2 would be dope on a smart phone. What do you guys think though?
  4. Well more bad news, but if you were hoping to get an Xbox Series X anytime soon, you may not be able to until June. The reason why? A GPU shortage. It seems as if that's the issue for everyone currently, even on PlayStations side, and many pc manufacturers. I guess this past year and this year, there's been a lot of pc item shortages. So it could be even longer for all we know. ๐Ÿ˜ž You can read more about this news here - The Verge
  5. Not great news for Google, but it's not all bad news just yet. They're stopping the production of their own games, and are now focussed on getting third party games instead. Which is what I think their service should be about anyway. Do you think this will result in Stadia ending? You can read more about this news here - Engadget Moderator Edit: Merging @Kane99's into this one as @Withywarlock's topic was posted first. Please try to check if a topic already has a thread before posting a new one.
  6. Someone by the name of ZHC custom painted a 10 foot tall PS5 that is worth around $70,000. On top of that, it's functional. It looks like he even made a functional controller. Read about this story here - PlayStationing Check the video here
  7. MLB The Show is no longer an exclusive to the PlayStation platforms, as it'll be releasing for the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. The cover art was recently leaked showing it being multiplatform. It's good to see Xbox getting one of the best MLB games out there. You can read about this bit of news here - PSU
  8. Never played risk, but I hear it's quite fun! I've always wanted to play it. A few friends of mine have asked me to actually play it with them soon, so I might do that. ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. I think IO Interactive still owns the rights to it after they split from Square Enix. So a new game in the series may come from them down the road. Or even a reboot.
  10. It's kind of an open world Simpsons game with really good driving mechanics. It's similar to GTA in that regard. But I don't know of anyone hating on it for having a GTA feel. I think it's partly what makes it.
  11. Oooh, I'll keep that in mind. I might actually do that, as I did that with ESPN NFL 2K5 recently, and it looks glorious in HD. Oh for sure. I remember reading an article proclaiming GTA 3 was the first open world game in 3D where you could get out your car. And I just was like, nah uh bro, Driver 2 was the first open world game where you could leave your car. You couldn't do anything while on foot, but you could go to another car. I remember thinking that was so cool. Driver 3 was royally bad for being a broken mess, but I still loved the game. They need to remaster it somehow. I'd pay to see it built to its full potential.
  12. I don't think it's about censorship necessarily, I think it's more that people have a right to be offended by the content they consume, if they deem that content as such. As well society changes and old beliefs/ideas fade away. Soon enough the content we consume is going to be more open. We're already seeing it today, with more gay/trans characters getting their own roles and starring roles. People of color getting more movies and starring roles as well. Etc. Just watch a comedy or any show from back in the early 2000s, to the early 2010s and compare it to media today, a lot of the stuff we considered fine to say then, has become outdated by today's standards. And go back to 1990 and before, and you'll start to see some big differences. Back then it was offensive, but people seemed more accepting of it. But also, back then people weren't able to do much to air their issues with it. I imagined they might have aired their issues by doing letter campaigns or some similar campaigns. Today, we have the internet, and it's a lot easier to share your feelings on the content you see. So it's easy to change the way things are done when it comes to future media. One other example, is pro wrestling from the 90s to the early 2000s. I remember wrestlers saying "homo" and even calling someone a "fag" like it was nothing. Even signs in the crowd had many homophobic slurs, and it was considered fine back then, it even aired on live tv unbleeped. I imagine it was highly offensive towards the gay community, but there wasn't much they could do aside from probably reaching out to the WWF to say hey, what the hell guys? Saying the F word today on TV would get that person fired without warning. As well, the women's wrestling back then was regarded as a joke because of what female wrestlers had to do, how they were portrayed and how they. Most of the matches women did in the 90s and early 2000s were matches like bra-and-panties matches; a match where you have to strip your opponent into her underwear to win the match. Or how about the traditional mud wrestling matches? They also had pillow fight matches, and costume contests. As a young boy, you know I was into it. But looking back at it today, I feel grossed out by it, because a lot of the time, I imagine the female wrestlers weren't too happy about doing matches like that. Now, do I think offensive things should be censored, no I don't. I am offended sometimes in movies, tv, games, etc, and I would never say to censor it. The only time I agree with censorship is real life situations, involving death, and anything deemed illegal. But you're right, seeing/hearing it front and center is how we find the ridiculous in it, because soon enough, that person/company soon feels the wrath of the community. It also doesn't mean people can't be offensive. It just means that if people take offense to ones content, that creator/person/company needs to be prepared for the potential backlash. I think people have a right to be as offensive as they want to be too, it's their life, they just have to deal with the backlash for saying it. That's my feeling on it anyway. I grew up in the 90s, and early 2000s, and looking back, a lot has changed with what is acceptable and isn't. I realize this post has nothing to do with gaming, but it can be included as I'm sure there are many instances in past games that would be regarded as offensive.
  13. I only ever played Freedom Fighters once, and it was one time when I was at a friends house for a LAN party. The night before the LAN party myself and a couple others hung out in my friends room and played games. I remember them bringing out freedom fighters to play, and I never played it. I remember having fun playing it though. I almost forgot, the day before we were hanging out and walking around town. I almost forgot about that lol. But yeah, that game will forever tie me to that day. Pretty cool. Wish I could remember more about the game though too. ๐Ÿ˜„ Anyway, think we'll ever see a new Freedom Fighters game?
  14. Who here is into Tabletop and or board games? I Am not great when it comes to playing tabletop/board games. Mainly because I have no patience when it comes to learning, and it just gives me anxiety more than anything lol. I want to give board games more of a chance though, but I don't know if I'm right for them. I'm thinking about getting Tabletop simulator and trying some of the easier to grasp table top games, but I hate that it's so pricey.
  15. So Tetris is notorious for having a lot of releases over the years. Many from different companies, and majority of the time with the same gameplay. How many different versions of Tetris do you think there is out there? I know the NES had a ton, but I imagine with each new console, there was tons more. How many in total do you think there is?
  16. I grew up on The Simpsons and playing The Simpsons: Bart Vs. The World as a kid. Back then I loved the game, but it was not that good of a game, as it's notorious for being kind of short and aggravatingly hard at times. But no matter what I was hooked on this game as a kid. Anyway, I then played the likes of Simpson's Hit and Run, and the Simpsons game that came out back on the 360/ps3 days. But that's the extent of my Simpsons game knowledge. What are some other good Simpsons games? I'm aware of Simpsons Arcade, which I hear is good too, but I want more. Gimme more Simpsons please. ๐Ÿ˜„
  17. This is good news if you're a fan of the Hitman franchise like me. IO interactive say they're working continuously on Hitman, and are looking toward the future. I hope a new Hitman is on the horizon, but maybe in a new direction. I'd like to see more online features, maybe in a future Hitman game, players can play as their own custom made Hitman. It could work, maybe as a custom made character, you're a new type of cloned hitman, so that would explain if your character has hair. But, they would need to make sure everyone has a barcode, but it has to be a unique code based on your username. That'd be cool. But yeah, this is not about that. I can dream, but that's for another time lol. Anyway, you can read about this here - The Gamer
  18. I like to think I was really good at WWE Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. I played it so much, that I started to up the difficulty, and got even better. I wish they still made wrestling games like it today.
  19. I hate when a game has long trailing missions. Every Assassin's Creed game came with a bunch of them. And especially in stuff like gta, where sometimes you gotta follow this car, but don't get too close. I just find these types of missions lazy and boring.
  20. I've kind of lost interest in recent years. I think playing AC back to back, year after year did it for me. Last AC game I did play, I think was Syndicate. I think I bought origins or one of the other recent ones, but I've yet to actually play it. There's just so many games I have to play right now lol My favorites would probably be 2 and Brotherhood. The Ezio trilogy is probably my fave, even though I didn't play revelations all the way through. I think by the time I got revelations, Black Flag was already out and I already played 3 and that one. Going back was a bit tough. I was even considering going back to the first game, which I tried for a while, but I wasn't feeling it, I also hear it's the worst of the bunch, as you essentially the same stuff over and over again. That's why 2 is regarded by many as the better start if that makes sense. But yeah, I love the series, but have fallen off in recent years.
  21. Hmm, I didn't even think of that. Yeah I remember RCA, Panasonic, and I imagine various other companies like it made their own consoles back then. It was like every big manufacturer were trying to get into the gaming market. I wouldn't doubt someone like whirlpool or something had their own console at one point lol.
  22. Nothing has offended me, but then again I don't play much of anything too controversial, so I can't really say. Yeah that's messed up. I think I remember hearing about that. Reminds me of that game about assassinating JFK. Now I just wonder how many games have come out based around tragic events.
  23. For those who don't know, the back of the PS2 is where the ethernet expansion is supposed to go. But, it is also where a HDD can be put. In fact, you could install a HDD with Linux on a PS2 and use it as a PC. May not work super great these days, but it was an option. The US to my knowledge didn't really utilize the HDD option, as I think support for it wasn't really there in the states. I know other countries even had HDD kits released or something. Anyway, has anyone here installed a HDD to their PS2s? And of so, were you able to install Linux or another OS somehow?
  24. With the shows popularity still at an all time high, I wonder if they will eventually toss in a game adaptation. What do you guys think? Could it happen? I doubt it will, but I hope Disney finds a way to get someone to make some type of Mandalorian game. I'd buy it for sure. But please, don't let EA have their hands all over it. And maybe not even Ubisoft. Give it to a respected studio please.
  25. I've only played a bit of Dark Souls and that has been about it. But, I am aware of Bloodborne, as well as the game that started it all, Demon Souls. I hear many people claim that Demon Souls is the best of the bunch, but other say it's Dark Souls 1 or 3 or even Bloodborne. What are your opinions though? Since I can't really decide myself, I would like to hear what fans of the series as a whole, have to say.
