  1. Call of Duty has been a yearly released game since COD 4 I believe. And ever since the franchise continues to grow. You can argue it's lost some popularity, but it seems with each new release more people jump into it. There were times where I absolutely hated Call of Duty, but now, I can't get enough of Modern Warfare and am looking forward to Black Ops Cold War. It feels like things are going back to the way it used to be, and it's kind of exciting. Anyway, do you think COD will ever end? Right now, there are three studios working on COD, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward work on their own games, while Ravensoft in the past did their own games (Advanced Warfare) and have been helping Infinity Ward and Treyarch to make their games lately.
  2. Pretty much this. I'm not one to go crazy for graphics anymore. Games on a standard 1080p tv look good enough to me, so a 4K TV imo, isn't always needed. And having the upgraded graphic and visuals isn't always needed, at least imo. It's a budget console, that's the key here. It will play the games, it just won't be as pretty as it is on the Series X. But I'm cool with that.
  3. I haven't had the chance to play VR much. I want to get myself an occulus rift or even a vive. I think in order for VR to truly take over, they need to find a way to price it for pretty cheap. Especially if future consoles are made with the focus of VR.
  4. Anyone here interested in this? It's a sequel to the Man of Medan game. Well, not a sequel, but another story in this universe. Check the trailer, and a vid with some gameplay below. 🙂 Game comes out October 30th, right in time for Halloween.
  5. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time comes out October 2nd 2020. I think the last crash game was the Crash: Mind over Mutant. I'm counting the traditional style platformer, not the nitro cart games or other games using Crash in the game. Anyway, Crash Bandicoot is back, and It's about time. 😄 Who here is going to buy this one? I think I might. buy it, or wait a while to see the reviews on it.
  6. Source - https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/xbox-series-s-likely-wont-be-able-to-run-xbox-one-x-content-its-claimed/ I hope this is not true. But according to this article, the Xbox Series S might not be able to play some content, including some Xbox One X enhanced content. They also state that some Xbox One and 360 games may have problems playing. The article also states, that if you can play these games on the Series S, it won't be the upgraded versions with 4K visuals. I'm hoping this isn't true, as I am tempted to buy the Series S. But I suppose at that price, they had to do some cuts.
  7. Amazon Prime has added some new free games you Amazon Prime subscribers can get. They are including 5 games, they are; Autonauts: Age of Enlightenment, Pumped BMX Pro, Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops, Effie, and Outcast: Second Contact. More details here - https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/twitch-prime-september-free-games-144650704.html
  8. Well it looks like Ninja is back on Twitch. He last left Twitch for a big payday to work on Mixer, but Mixer recently went under and Microsoft joined forces with Facebook and their Facebook games platform. Or soon will be. Anyway, what do you think of Ninja being back on Twitch? I'm not a fan of him though, so I don't mind what the guy does, but I figure there might be some fans of him here. 9. I've been playing the new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 on my Xbox One and been playing Fall Guys on PC. THPS 1+2 is a total blast, it brings me back to my childhood every time I play it. I feel like I never forgot the controls either, it's so smooth. And Fall Guys is tough as usual.
  10. Ubisoft does it for like every single game they make it seems lol. Yes exactly this. If it revolves around a side mission, I have no problem with it. But, if it's mainly just "shoot 100 pigeons across the whole map" (GTA IV). then it gets annoying.
  11. I can see chess and somewhat fishing as well. I disagree somewhat about the wrestling part. I'd just call it sports entertainment, as that's essentially what it is. Because like The Blackangel said, it takes a lot to be a pro wrestler. It's a lot easier to be a gamer than a wrestler. The constant workouts they have to do, the travel, the constant abuse to their bodies falling on a thin mat almost daily. I know I would never be able to handle that type of job. I would die the first time I jump into a ring lol. But yeah, I'd say sports entertainment, because I think that was Vince McMahon's intention when he calls it exactly that.
  12. Oh cool. I remember when this came out on the 360, and then the game disappeared from the marketplace at some point, so I never got to purchase it. I don't think you can purchase it still. 😞I'm glad it's coming out for all consoles though. I thought it was just the Switch by the trailer. But it's confirmed to be coming out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia (Ew gross).
  13. Do you guys know of any good party games similar to the Jackbox series? I'd like to get some party games for when I hang out with fam and friends as well as my work buddies. Do you guys have any suggestions? I was thinking we could do Uno, which is always a fun time, but I'd like to hear other suggestions as well. 🙂
  14. I subbed to gamepass ultimate quite a few times. I find that I am able to play many more games this way, especially ones I wanted to try, but wasn't willing to fork out any money. I really think gamepass is the future of gaming. I think we're going to see more services similar come out, especially from Sony and Nintendo. I can see them trying their hand at a game pass like service. Anyway, are you subbed to gamepass?
  15. Has anyone here purchased the TurboGrafx-16 Mini that came out last year? It's like those mini consoles like the NES/SNES classics. It looks pretty cool, but I never had a TurboGrafx anything or played any of the games, so I am not familiar with the games. Amazon is selling it for $99.99, so it's a bit pricey. But, it boasts up to 57 games in total. I'm guessing that's the amount of games that originally came out for the console?
  16. Lol, good. The idea they think it was acceptable to put video ads in a $60 video game is annoying to me. After some backlash for having them, EA gave a half assed apology saying that "UFC does it, so we thought we could too" and have turned off video ads in replays. But yeah, don't put video ads in our games unless they can be skipped. I play games to have fun. It's bad enough we deal with load times, I don't want to be stuck behind an ad for anything. https://www.washingtonpost.com/video-games/2020/09/09/ufc-4-ads/
  17. If they do VR, I would love for them to call it the virtual boy 2.0 or something, or just virtual boy. I think it's the best name. Cause I don't see them coming up with like VR Switch or something. I think VR is the natural progression we're heading to anyway. If anything, I can see people having little consoles the size of VR headsets, and that's what consoles will be.
  18. lol, I'd love to have it for that gold to be honest, but no way would I pay that amount. I'd gladly take one for free though lol. But we all know that won't happen. 😞
  19. That's how I feel as well. I don't like calling it a sport, even if it's something that may requite some skill when competing at a high level. But, I suppose you gotta call it something, and Esports has a good ring to it. The funny thing is, that esports is becoming more popular than some actual sports, which kind of weirds me out. But I suppose, to each their own.
  20. I've been playing the new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and have been having a blast with it so far. The gameplay is so smooth and fun. It really brings me back to when I was a kid. I fell right back into the gameplay like I never forgot it. So fun!
  21. This is pretty big news, considering EA Play is a monthly service similar to Game Pass. But now, EA has joined the Game Pass program, and it won't cost you anything extra, just your standard Game Pass subscription. This imo, could be huge for the Xbox Series X and S, because it guarantees a ton of games at release. I'm kind of psyched for this, even though EA is relatively a crap company. I'll surly play some of their games though. Watch the reveal trailer below:
  22. Has anyone here played this game? Surprisingly it's quite relaxing to play. It's essentially a game where you play as a moderator, who goes through sites and taking stuff down from sites that violates laws. I probably am doing a crap job of explaining it, so I'll add the trailer for the game below. I played a bit of it last night, and at first I felt overwhelmed with how much stuff you can do, but you eventually get used to it. Now I know how to navigate and do all that stuff. Plus, it reminds me of surfing the web back in the day.
  23. Esports gets some hate for having "Sports" in the title, as some would say gaming is not a sport and shouldn't be classified as such. Would you say that Esports should be classified as sports? I personally don't care what you do. I mean, they call hunting a sport, they call golf a sport, and they call all kinds of other things a sport. So why can't gaming, which does require skill, be called a sport? Especially, considering that it's a competition between people. I think if it's a competition, it should qualify as a sport. What do you guys think?
  24. It seems like gaming stores are starting to disappear like arcades once did. I don't even have a retro game store in my area. Not at least for hundreds of miles away. With that being said, I know Gamestop is trying to sell retro games these days, but in reality, the games they sell aren't always legitimate. Just look on YouTube and you'll see a lot of videos about bootleg games being sold to them, or rom hacks and stuff like that. So I refuse to buy retro anything from Gamestop. Plus it's gamestop, gross! lol Anyway, do you guys still have retro game stores near you? If I had the money and a slew of games, I'd consider starting my own retro shop in my area.
  25. I haven't played Greedfall, Ghost of Tsushima, or Dragon Age. Watch Dogs 2 is a lot of fun. It is a vast improvement over the original game. There's a lot of missions, and side missions to take up your time. I had a blast with it. Plus the story is actually pretty decent. I can't wait for Legions. 😄 Alien Isolation is crazy scary, I couldn't finish it. The Outer Worlds is a fun game as well. Very similar to the Fallout series, but without all the glitches and bugs lol. Sadly, I felt it was kind of short. But it was a lot of fun.
