  1. Yes, but this is a topic specifically for Remothered: Broken Porcelain. That topic is geared for discussions about the best horror games not just one game. So I don't see a problem with creating a topic just for the game. I also don't see any other topics made for the game so I figured it was fair game to post a topic for it. I think I'm going to wait for a deal on this one to pick it up. I want to give it a shot, because from the streams I've watched of it so far, the game looks scary. The controls don't look super great though. But yeah, will wait for a sale to come to buy it.
  2. With all the talk about how certain companies are awful *cough* EA *cough* Ubisoft *cough* It got me thinking. Why not talk about the developers and publishers you actually respect. What studios do you trust? I'd add Nintendo, but sometimes I'm unsure about them. They have made poor decisions in the past. I think SEGA for the most part is a good studio/publisher. They don't seem to get on peoples nerves so much. Yeah they may make a few bad games, but they aren't on the levels of EA or Ubisoft, or 2K etc. Kojima is someone I'd add as developer I respect, same with Miyamoto at Nintendo. I have respect for a lot of indie studios as well, as they tend to do most of their work and production/marketing.
  3. Remothered: Broken Porcelain recently came out. I've seen some reviews, and they all seem unfavorable about the experience. I think this game was meant for the cult following the first game garnered. I haven't played either game, but I still think I'd like to give them both a try. Especially the new one, as it does look kind of fun.

    GTFO

Has anyone here played GTFO? It came out late last year in early access and it seems to be blowing up lately. It's a 4 player co-op horror shooter. I have not played it yet myself, but I've watched some gameplay and lets play of it, and it looks like a ton of fun, but also anxiety inducing, at least for me lol. But, it's nice seeing 4 player co-op more these days, I get a Left 4 Dead vibe from this one. What do you guys think of the game? Is it worth the purchase? It is currently 20% off on Steam. πŸ‘
  5. Well this was news I was really not expecting. But take it with a grain of salt as it's just an image of a hand holding the new controller, and a PS3 dashboard screen in the background. I think I'd wait for actual video proof of it before anything. But, if true, it seems that it can control the menu and all that, but the playstation button doesn't work. Once they release a video of someone playing a game on the PS3, I will believe it then. You can read about this here - PSU
  6. This is a pretty good deal. Even though PowerA sells their controllers for cheap, they do a great job and are well built for the most part. I own an Xbox One pro controller by them. It's well built and feels heavy in the hand. It's wired, but I'm cool with that. If you're not looking for spend $60 plus on a Switch controller, you can get a few PowerA controllers for just $12 a piece. There are three of them below. Zelda: Breath of The Wild Controller Mario White Controller Mario Vintage Controller
  7. I have no clue how to code games myself, so I will have to bow out. But I wish you luck on your idea. If I knew how to code and all that jazz, I would try to help any way I can. Maybe it's time I learn to do some coding. I could always use the new skills to make my own stuff. But, I don't know if I have the patience to learn lol.
  8. I think it was kind of tougher than the Double Dragon series if I remember correctly. I just don't remember how far I got in the game back then. I just remember loving the graphics and settings when I was a kid. I really need to replay it soon. πŸ˜„
  9. Mostly for me I used binders for loose games. But otherwise, I keep them in their discs. And good idea on putting your cart games in a plastic tub. I need to actually do that myself one of these days to protect my games better.
  10. Yeah, it did anger me a bit, but I've come to terms with it and moved on. I'll be angry if they end up delaying it again though. People who go out and send death threats to the devs because of this aren't true gamers, or fans for that matter. I think they just want something to be mad about, so they end up doing this crap to make themselves feel better. Leave the devs alone.
  11. Yup I'm entering this giveaway for sure. Could use a new fridge and hey, wouldn't mind one looking like this to be honest. And I love that the inside actually glows green.
  12. Should cheaters who cheat in an esports event, be banned from that event for life? Or should cheaters get a chance after a suspension? I think to some extent, a cheater should be faced with a temporary ban, maybe for a couple years or so. What do you guys think? I think eventually you would have to allow them try out again, but of course, a second offense could result in a lifetime ban. What do you guys think?
  13. They probably should have. If anything, the most recent delay before this one, should have been until December 10th to begin with. On top of that, they already stated the game was ready. Now they're backtracking because of the amount of consoles/devices it's releasing on.
  14. The gaming industry is full of people who just want to increase their wealth, and don't care about the products they put out. There are a few companies I can't stand, either it be because of their bad practices, or because of how they work and act. It's also because of how they treat their developers and other workers. Companies like EA, Ubisoft, Activision, Blizzard, 2K and more are known for being kind of shitty to their workers, to the gamers, and to the gaming community as a whole. But, who is the most corrupt? EA is probably a clear front-runner for their continues history of idiocy. It's mistake after mistake with them. 2K think they can advertise to gamers who paid for a $60 game, and not get backlash? Blizzard supports the Chinese government and has banned players who disagree with China. Ubisoft just had a sex scandal just recently as well. Activision, well, they're activision. But, what company is the most corrupt?
  15. Oh I believe it. I heard PUBG was pretty bad when it comes with cheaters and hackers. It's one reason I try not to play it. And I can see that with MMO games. if anything, any game featuring any online multiplayer tends to get hacked. I remember hating Modern Warfare 2 because it became a hacked mess and the devs barely lifted a hand to fix it. I used to report every hacker/cheater I saw on Xbox. πŸ˜„
  16. I'm not sure if anyone hear heard about this gaming toy, but if not, you might be blown away, kind of. Anyway, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is a new product from Nintendo where you get two RC cars that come with cameras mounted on top. You can play them like a race around your home. It's a really cool little device that the whole family can enjoy. I guess you can add more cars and can make your track however you want. Check the trailer out below Also the site - https://mklive.nintendo.com/
  17. Right now I think you can only mine it. You can't actually utilize it to my knowledge. At least not at the moment. Nice. I haven't extended my group or whatever you call it, so I'm not making much. If I invited more people my mine rate should go up I imagine. πŸ™‚ Right now I don't think you can use Pi yet. Currently I think we can mine it, but we can't take it our or do anything with it. At least not yet. But hopefully soon. I wonder how much it's all worth.
  18. Back in the day I would have said that Crash Bandicoot would be the mascot for the PlayStation, but sadly, he's owned by Activision and is on all consoles. So, who does PlayStation have? Rachet and Clank could be the mascots, and I feel that they were for a time. I can see Sly, but they haven't done a new game in the series in a while from what I see. But today, who or what would you say is the mascot now? I forgot about Kratos and Nathan Drake, they're key mascots for Sony. But who is the main one? Does Kratos win?
  19. Has anyone here played the game Renegade on the NES? I remember playing it when I was a kid. I actually got quite far in it as well. But when I recently played it, couldn't get into the controls at all. I always thought it was based off of a movie or something, but I guess not. For those who don't know what it is, it's a 2d beat em up, similar to Double Dragon. I mostly remember the subway level, which is pretty much where you start. But I don't recall it being on a blue floor. I remember it being mostly grey.
  20. lol right? They claim that video games are childish and waste of time, but they'll be reading a book, or watching that dumb reality tv show they love. It's so hypocritical of them when they claim we're the children.
  21. Uh oh, das not good. According to Gamespot here Xbox One X consoles are overheating while playing Watch Dogs: Legion. Some people must have received the game before the street release, which is tomorrow. It seems that Xbox One X consoles are shutting down at a certain point in the campaign. They are releasing a patch on the 30th to address this issue. No mention if this is occuring for other Xbox consoles. It seems to be the pre-release version as well.
  22. Has anyone here ever played Looney Tunes B-Ball? I got it years ago from the old video store here. Anyway, it's a Basketball game starring Looney Tune characters. I had no idea originally that they released a B-Ball game for Looney Tunes, but I'm glad they did, because it's a really fun game. Do you remember playing it?
  23. All Quotes below from @m76 To some extent yes. Some games gain more popularity because of streaming. As for playing music, that's a tad bit different, because you're not advertising the music like a streamer would a game. Among Us is like a murder mystery game. You can play a max of 10 players per game, there are crewmates and impostors. Impostors are tasked with killing the crewmate, and can also sabotage areas on the map. Once a body is found, you're brought into an emergency meeting, where each surviving players have to discuss who they think the impostors are. This game came out in 2018 without much fanfare. But, due to some streamers showcasing it recently, it blew up and now the dev is working on adding to the game again. Watch a stream of it if you can, it's pretty much made for streaming. I'm just going off of gameplay I've seen. People seem to really enjoy it though, so maybe it's a fine game. But my point still stands, it's helping these unknown games become a lot more popular. Developers know full well about it and happily go for it. Because it helps that game sell. Even so, bad games can be good depending on who the person is. Minecraft and Fall Guys are well made games that take minimal effort to get into. You may find them to be terrible games, that doesn't mean it's so. I've played a lot of games I thought to be bad, but a lot of people end up enjoying them. It's all subjective. One bad game, could be a fun time for a group of friends. As long as people enjoy it, who cares. And that's fine. Keep in mind though, a streamer can still stream a game, as long as they add commentary and make it transformative. What this means, is that they have to build upon the original content and add to it. Add their opinions, such as a review, or add their thoughts on the game, etc. That's considered fair use, since they're discussing it, making it transformative. I would understand if a streamer just streamed the entirety of a game without adding any commentary around it, but most streamers don't do this. Keep in mind though, that most developers and publishers want people to stream their games. It does help sell games a lot more than standard marketing does these days. And sure, some bad games might be in the mix, but that's to be expected. I have to disagree. Most streamers I've watched add a lot to the table, either it be from fan interaction, commentary, and free promotion of course. Streamers don't just sit there and play a game. If they did that, no one would be watching their streams.
  24. This article here - Daily Videogame has a slew of sales for popular Japanese made games. From the likes of PokΓ©mon Shield and Sword both getting deals, Jump Force, Dark Souls Remastered, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Judgement, and so much more. Some deals are for 40-50% off, with some going higher and lower. Get at these deals while you can. πŸ™‚
  25. Sure, you could play the original Tekken, or one of the sequels. Really any game that has some form of multiplayer, probably could be reverted into a possible esport game. You could say any fighter game from that time as well. Racing games too.
