  1. It's an ugly situation now. Texas is among many other states trying to pass voting restriction bills, and the state has proposed some of the harshest voting restrictions seen yet. So democrats fled the state to break quorum to prevent the bill from being passed. Now the Texas governor has a second special session to pass ridiculous anti critical race theory education bill to add more restrictions of what was already previously passed, and so the democrats refuse to return because if they do, then the bill will get passed just for their presence. So now the Texas supreme court issued arrest warrants for all 52 of them to bring them back to the House. The republicans even propose locking the doors and holding the democrats in the House building however long it takes to pass the bills. Breaking quorum is not illegal and has been done in other instances in the past from politicians on both sides. So this urgency to pass voting restriction and indoctrinating education bills, willing to block salaries of democratic politicians, willingness to arrest constituents, shows you how dangerous this country has become.
  2. I wonder what would have happened if the parents never warned the school. Would they have followed through with the felony? Don't jobs talk about potential situations they may encounter at staff meetings? Do teachers have yearly continuing education requirements? Everyone in the medical industry requires continuing education they have to pass or risk losing license. Teachers need it too. Dealing with autistic children should be in there somewhere. They probably skip through all that in college too.
  3. HAHAHAHAHA Those mother fucking idiots!!! These people want to overthrow democracy. Their nazi armbands will spell Notsie.
  4. I can't find an exact quote in RDR where they say "burn the teachers and the school." So if the game didn't say that, then it is not scripting. Those are the words the child said. The fire bottle part he referred to is from the game. So if the game didn't quote the burning of teachers and school, then this is a deliberate attack on the game itself. I could be wrong, did the game actually use those words with the teacher and school? If so, then all this is redundant.
  5. The cops need to question the family because in today's world you don't know if the parents say extremist things around the kid. And being autistic, he probably takes some things literally if he is around a toxic environment. I'm not saying this is the case, and most likely isn't, but if the child's parents are extremists and talking about violence and bigotry around him then the cops need to question them.
  6. Depends on the situation. If I was in a war defending what is right, I wouldn't be afraid of death. In a pandemic, I'm afraid of it. If I'm raging angry I wouldn't be afraid. If I was in peace mode and someone attacks me, I'd be afraid of death. If I had a family I'd be afraid of death. If I was successful, happy, and wealthy I'd be afraid of it. If I was always struggling with lots of bad luck I wouldn't be afraid.
  7. They are using an autistic person to set an example of as a threat while condoning the same behavior in others that are their peers or higher up in social status. The question is how do we discipline an autistic child? Clearly, it’s wrong what he said. And police should have the right to question him and the parents in case there could be issues at home. Then again, police are known for twisting questions in a way with children to manipulate them. A normal thing to do is to get a court order for family or personal counseling for the child. But that might not be appropriate for someone autistic, unless he sees someone that specializes in it. And maybe he should see someone. But a felony? Welcome to manhood where you become a man at 10 years old if you are black, brown, or autistic.
  8. Now she just got suspended from twitter again for a week for saying vaccines are failing and do not reduce the spread of the virus and neither do masks. These are people in our congress saying this. People who have zero experience in politics and zero experience in medicine or healthcare. She needs to go back to her little gym and lift bar bells which does not require the use of her brain. At least suspend her for a month. These people just absolutely have no consequences. And why are republicans so against safety? They are a virus. That's why. Protecting yourself from Covid is like protecting yourself from a republican.
  9. LOL, he's a straight up bad ass-that's for sure. I would be so concerned for their safety in battle because I wouldn't want to lose one. They are family now. But can you imagine the thrill to ambush some bandits with your cats at your side ripping and shredding their meat fibers? He must be using a mod on a computer or something. I'm jealous.
  10. As part of the infrastructure bill in USA, the next few years all new vehicles will be equipped with technology that can monitor your alcohol levels. There are several features that have been tested, and it's still up in the air which to use, but it can monitor how you are driving compared to your usual habits. The steering wheel can have alcohol detection from your breath, or the gear shift or ignition starter will have a blood alcohol detector through skin contact. How accurate can these actually be? I don't know how many times I've been fuming from a hangover which could fail a breathalyzer test, but not driving impairment. So what are the consequences if your vehicle detects impairment? That has yet to be mentioned from this bill. Would the police automatically be contacted? Would you get a notice in the mail saying you have a court hearing? Would the vehicle power off? I personally think it is a step in the right direction and I hope they get it right, but doesn't sound it would be accurate at all to me. Plus with people wearing masks, that can block the car's alcohol reading. You can wear gloves to use the gear shift. So we will have to wait and see. One thing is certain though, there are at least 10,000 deaths a year from alcohol related driving just in the U.S. The American Beverage Institute lobbies for alcohol consumption at restaurants and they claim will have consequences. I'm sure there will be because your grandma can run into some problems after the birthday get together. But boohoo and who fucking cares. Is this a good solution? What other things can the vehicle do to deter driving under the influence?
  11. Problem is, there are only a handful of states in the USA that are doing anything about the computing power consumption because 20 years from now in 2040, what happens if we don't meet the standards needed to stay under the world's power consumption? At that time they will have to take some serious drastic measures. So none of us will see where this is going in 20 years if we failed to keep the energy consumption at bay. And is this only the responsibility of the USA? Is any other country on board? If not, then all for nothing. I see a crisis looming in 20 years.
  12. With Texas and Florida being the top two Covid zones recently, the governors are completely against protecting citizens. Texas has some new school guidelines for Covid-schools no longer have to inform parents of positive cases and no contact tracing. Say what? Welcome to the dark side!!!
  13. This might explain a little more on a seeming crisis of 'computing energy' in the future. "Such concern about energy efficiency appears to be appropriate given the findings of a 2015 Semiconductor Industry Association report [PDF] that, given a benchmark system of 10-14 Joules/per bit transition, "computing will not be sustainable by 2040, when the energy required for computing will exceed the estimated world’s energy production." https://www.theregister.com/2021/07/26/dell_energy_pcs/
  14. Those are mostly blue states that are considering that. And you are right that singling out computers is not effective in reducing the carbon footprint. But democrats lobbied by big oil??? Nope. They usually lobby republicans. Here is a good site on who the top oil and gas recipients are below. And you can choose a year to look at who the recipients are. If this started in 2016, then 19 of the top 20 recipients are republican. Look at 2020. 19 of the top 20 recipients are republican also. https://www.opensecrets.org/industries/recips.php?ind=E01&recipdetail=A&sortorder=U&mem=Y&cycle=2016 But this is a half ass attempt to save on energy, especially in the less populated states. California I would say is an exception because they use way too much energy in that state. But again, PC?
  15. We all know the USA has a major racist problem, but I have come to learn that just maybe, maybe a more correct term would be a caste system in the USA that has also held down Europeans that first came to this country with the English being at the top of the caste system. Eventually all Europeans became at the top of the caste system while blacks and others were always kept at the bottom, purposefully, and still happens today. The 'white privilege' is the top of the caste system. There is a book called An X-Ray of Our Country:How America's Caste System Has Shaped History by Isabel Wilkerson. It describes how American eugenics and the Jim Crow laws which kept black people oppressed, was researched by Nazi eugenicists and those books written by American authors were big hits in Nazi Germany. German researchers were sent to study how the USA subjugated African Americans. Those Jim Crow laws in the USA helped form the Nuremberg Laws in Nazi Germany. That is a pretty incredible piece of information to discover. So to look at systemic racism, we actually should be looking at an entire caste system, which I think is the problem in the USA as having our first African American president etc. And the upset of balance to the white privilege caste will ultimately lead to war or genocide in my opinion. And it's a pretty spot on opinion since the USA is repeating history of the Nazis and has an extremely dark racist/caste system. https://www.npr.org/2020/08/04/898574852/its-more-than-racism-isabel-wilkerson-explains-america-s-caste-system
  16. Third reich eagle. That is a weird coincidence. And this coincidence happens all too often, almost as if...they are telling us they are NAZIS.
  17. If we ever start having a population of cyborgs, then a lot of people will play games in their heads. The rich will get all fancy like they do and have all kinds of brain implants. Many times their dreams will be upgrades while they sleep. They will play MMO in their heads against other rich tyrants and plot on taking over the world as games become real life. Then AI takes over. Most of the population will have some sort of mechanics in their bodies and their own arm will beat them. Their legs will force them into the water to drown. Their jaws refuse them food. Their metal plates in their head began crushing their skulls. Their eyes eject. Their hearts toy with them by rapidly beating or skipping 10 beats. All the while, doctors laugh because they knew this would happen. They just wanted your money. And they left a special implant in every model made. That is to obey the doctor's command.
  18. What if two powerful blackholes were both competing on devouring mass, then one of the black holes sucks in the other and couldn't hold the energy of all the mass and exploded. All the elements, warped and all came out to form new laws in its own universe. And what if life was able to grow there looking like cartoons. Heck, maybe it's humans and Earth living in a parallel universe. Cause we don't see anything else like it right?
  19. You can get aids wearing someone else's underwear or hepatitis from someone else's toothbrush. Nope, free ball and toothless it is.
  20. This is expected from a narcissist nazi that failed in a coup attempt. Now he is making cards he wants all supporters to carry. Might as well get arm bands right? I guess you can show the police the card and they will let you go for anything. I guess you can flash the card at someone's home and help yourself to anything. Not gonna happen? Tell that to those in the 1930's-40's in Germany. Am I exaggerating? When an entire political party becomes this cultish and has thrown out morality, and had a failed coup attempt, aids and abets domestic terrorism, (oh no?--oh yes) Republicans even went to jails where the Jan 6 attackers were kept to check up on their jail conditions. They sure did. That is providing comfort to terrorists. And yes trump is going to run again. And now there is a big whammy that came out how trump told the Department of Justice to "just say that the election was corrupt. Leave the rest to me." So the irony is there on the trump cards...Save America-Nothing like dictators, nazis, terrorists, whom all failed at overthrowing democracy just recently, claims to save America. They all know they are wrong and they don't care. This is where the republican party has become so cult like, you cannot separate nazis from that party any longer. Nazi America is here. IT IS HERE. The United States may no longer exist as a democracy in 2024. This is a very serious reality. And if democracy fails, it won't end there. Like I said, these people are Nazis. They will commit the next genocide.
  21. Well, scientists just learned that black holes bend and warp mass, so maybe if everything we know about physics is warped, then maybe there is an existence where time and everything else is different. There could be a bunch of talking clouds of gas for all we know bent through the universe and shot out the black hole in a speed and distance beyond our imagination and they just float around like cotton candy talking to one another through mental waves. 1,000 years ago, it would be witchcraft to talk to someone over the phone in China, or watch it snow in Antarctica while living in Saudi Arabia.
  22. Well that's kind of a double standard since this is a forum with gaming, philosophy, and politics. And all the killing in games, all life's chaos in philosophy, and all the racism in politics, are young minds so belittled that they will go and hurt themselves now for guilty pleasure after killing hundreds in a game, and reading how you shouldn't protect yourself from covid in the news? They are exposed to it all. So if all the things they are exposed to in games are ok, then I'm sure they won't start hurting themselves now.
  23. All games need to be user friendly. I'll say it again...All games need to be user friendly. We are here to play, not rewire a brain. Eventually our controller panel will look like the cockpit of a fighter jet if we let them go overboard. They need to keep it user friendly. If you have only one jet to fly, then go ahead and learn the control schemes forever. But if you got 50 different jets to fly, oh dear!
  24. I don't think any demographic is deliberately left out except for those with seizures. There are plenty of games for the elderly. The mentally challenged probably requires an entirely different system to play on. If they can function enough to play on regular consoles, then there are probably plenty of games there too. Those with extreme physical conditions like quadriplegics or extreme pain in the hands, missing hands, etc. or coordination, would all need specialized equipment. Is there any out there? I don't know. Business usually only caters to the masses, so I wouldn't expect the gaming industry to invest in things like that unless it's government funded or sponsored in some way to make tons of money through the healthcare industry or military.
  25. I have heard of more reactions to the Pfizer brand. The two with the least side effects are the Moderna or J&J. Get what you can get though because no matter, it can save your life. But that sounds rough to go through.
