  1. Aye, I forgot about Minecraft. That's definitely been a bit of a time-sink for me, as well! Spent a lot of time playing it with my daughter, too.
  2. Pretty big twist to the whole Telltale dilemma: https://variety.com/2018/gaming/news/skybound-telltale-the-walking-dead-1202971245/
  3. I'm having a blast with the latest Spider-Man game on PS4. Makes me wonder what other superhero games really resonated with y'all?
  4. The masterpiece that is Silent Hill 2 springs to mind. Also, the Fallout series and Resident Evil series do creepy, heavy atmosphere well, too.
  5. Here's the blurb: This Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Portable Game Player gives you a 2.8" LCD display, equipped with your favorite Sonic games. It comes with a rechargeable battery, SD Card Slot for Downloadable Games and optional TV output. Games include Mortal Kombat I, II, III, Pac-Panic, Virtua Fighter 2, Phantasy Star series and the Sonic Series. http://www.argos.co.uk/product/8358747?utm_campaign=11553376&cmpid=COJUN&cjsurferid=852404620821476713%3A3ZrcAiPQB4ru&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=Pepper+Deals+LTD&utm_source=CJ&cjevent=7196dd0fca1711e8801900ff0a18050b&catalogId=10001&DM_PersistentCookieCreated=true&storeId=10151&_%24ja=tsid%3A11674|prd%3A1546795&utm_term=1453124&referredURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F8358747&referrer=COJUN
  6. Brand-new and cheap as chips! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Middle-earth-Shadow-War-Silver-Edition-Xbox-One-BRAND-NEW-AND-SEALED-/401506577374?hash=item5d7ba82bde
  7. Back in the day, I bought an Xbox 360 for Halo, Deadly Premonition and Gears of War. I also had a PS3 for Uncharted, Heavy Rain, The Last Of Us, Journey etc. This gen I bought a PS4 and an XB1, but I ended up selling the XB1 as I felt there was a lack of top-notch exclusives. Exclusives definitely make a big difference.
  8. Oh, and I thought the weakest one was Dead Money, but I’m not a huge fan of stealth gameplay tbh. Plus, it doesn’t give you much of a “playground” to play in. It’s literally a few dozen small areas IIRC. Had some good characters and writing, though.
  9. Good question! I’ve played all the DLCs to both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The best imho are Point Lookout for Fallout 3 and Old World Blues for New Vegas. Both drop you into a new map that tasks you with lots of exploring while solving a new mystery. There’s lots of new enemies and Old World Blues even adds new music!
  10. It's got to be flying, right? Or perhaps super walking - the ability to walk a little bit faster than everyone else. 🙃
  11. Yeah, that would've definitely been more ideal than having just 20 static games. I could see it being a bit more expensive, though. I'd be more interested in that kind of system, honestly.
  12. Nice! That's so cool! If I saw an NES GBA in the shops, I'd be all over that! 😄
  13. Yep, maybe I should look into cleaning my PC. Not done that before :s
  14. Yep, your phone counts as a handheld imho. You can play games on the go so, yeah, it's eligible 🙂
  15. From what I've played, I think I'd go for PUBG mainly because it's got a little more of a gritty and realistic tone. Fortnite is pretty addicting, though.
  16. San Andreas is my favourite Rockstar game. I put an asinine amount of time into it back in University. That soundtrack, tho!
  17. I tried Elder Scrolls and couldn't get into it. I adore Skyrim, Fallout 3 etc. But the Elder Scrolls Online game felt empty and lifeless by comparison, which is pretty ironic, right? Glad you enjoyed it, though. Not played Final Fantasy's MMO, mind you.
  18. Pretty decent deal (the physical copy of the game usually has an RRP of £29.99) https://www.base.com/Games/Dead-Cells-Nintendo-Switch/DCELLNS/product.htm?1=1&awc=2694_1538404455_889094d006e7ff95e730e9011ee4473e
  19. Finishing The Last Of Us is one of my most memorable moments in game. That gut-punch ending is so haunting and emotional. What a freakin' game! Also, finishing Deadly Premonition was very memorable, as well. The ending really helped to cement itself as one of my all time fave games.

    Touchscreen monitors?

Not something I'd like for a PC, honestly. Wouldn't it just get the screen all smudged up with messy fingerprints?
  21. Can't fault a FREE deal. If you've got an iPad or iPhone, this may be a nice little free download. https://itunes.apple.com/app/id425567844?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4
  22. It's a pretty shameless copy/paste of what Nintendo are doing, but it is a decent option for those who want to go back and play some of the classic PS1 titles (of which there are many). That said, it's a shame that there is only 20 games and they haven't been fully confirmed as of yet. It must be a nightmare getting the licensing for games from that era, but personally, I'd be down to get one - IF - there are enough genuine classic games in the final lineup.
  23. Frankly, Bethesda games are notoriously glitchy and it's paramount that you save often (pretty sure the game even recommends to do this). In regards, to that specific bug, I can't remember coming across it and I've spent many, many hours in both those games, as well as their DLC packs. Hope it works out for ya and resolves it self. *fingers crossed*
  24. From what I've tried, I was very impressed with Thumper in VR. Also, Until Dawn: A Rush Of Blood was a fun rail-shooter and PSVR Worlds had its moments -- the underwater shark experience is great to show off to family and friends!
  25. I agree with Demon. I'm pretty sure it's here to stay and as companies iterate on it, VR will become an essential purchase in the future. For now, though, it's in its embryonic stages, but despite that it's still an impressive piece of hardware. I should add that I've only had experience with the PSVR as I bought one at launch and tinkered around with it for a few months before trading it in for some cash. It's cool hardware, but there just aren't enough great games for it at the moment.
