  1. The library of games that'll be on it is absolutely key. I'm not gonna pre-order one until I know what'll be on it. So many great games on the PS1 and honestly, it's a system that is a bit of a blind spot for me (was focused on school work and part-time work etc. when it came out). I'm gonna keep a close eye on it...
  2. I've only played Dead By Daylight briefly but I really enjoyed it. Very atmospheric and creepy stuff. Amnesia was great when I played it a few years ago. Hopefully, it still holds up now!
  3. Hmm, there are a few low budget fantasy open-world RPGs on PS3 like Arcania, Two Worlds 2 and Risen 2/3. They're no where near as polished as Fallout 3/NV and Skyrim (which probably says a lot!) but I had a lot of fun with them, personally. I do like janky RPGs, though, so factor that in to the equation! Another great option is the Dark Souls/Demon's Souls games which are pseudo open-world fantasy action-RPGs.
  4. Aye, it's not the highest bar tbh, lol. Doom was ok, but not seen the Final Fantasy animated movie. After giving it more thought, Wreck It Ralph is arguably the best video game movie, though it's not based solely on one game. Thanks for commenting!
  5. Usually late nights on weekdays and early mornings on the weekends.Truth be told, I just game whenever I can, haha. It's tough when you've got a kid, a job and a million other responsibilities! I miss the ol' days when I could just stay in my boxers and game it up all day, lol.
  6. I'd absolutely watch it and I think it has the potential to be more than just an average zombie flick. Whether it would be as amazing as the game--well, I think that would be pretty much impossible. Ultimately, it'll be disappointing for many, I'm sure.
  7. Easily Gearbox's Colonial Marines, for me. Absolute garbage. Was such a kick in the balls after waiting for so long. What are your most disappointing games of all-time?
  8. I think the latest DOOM title has a ton of "BOOM" value, for sure. Great game.
  9. Ok, they get a bad rap but what are some of your favourite video game to movie adaptations? In my opinion, it's easily the original Silent Hill movie. I genuinely liked Christophe Gans' adaptation of Silent Hill to the silver screen. Sure, it had some uneven writing here and there, but the atmosphere, audio and visual effects are all on-point.
  10. Luckily I get a lot of review copies of games as I review them for a few different outlets. That said, I still buy games pretty regularly. I think I spend around £250-£350 a year on games, roughly (not including new consoles/controllers and the like).

    FIFA 19

I won't be picking this up (as I stopped playing footy games when I stopped following football), but I'm sure a few of my friends will, which means I'll be playing it against my will at some point.
  12. I definitely find a few games super relaxing and meditative: PixelJunk Monsters (particularly the 2 player co-op), Golf games and a few indie titles like Journey, Flower and Flow.
  13. Yep, Stranger Things would make for a great video game. Looking forward to Telltale's take on it. Twin Peaks would be a nice fit, though Deadly Premonition is already pretty much Twin Peaks: The Video Game.
  14. Yep. Sony are taking a leaf out of Nintendo's book.
  15. Unfortunately, as I have a daughter and a day job, it's tough to game like I used to back in the day. These days, I get around 1-2 hours in the night to game. Weekends I get more, though.
  16. Undoubtedly Naughty Dog, but I think a case could be made for Bethesda, CD Project Red, Quantic Dream, Bioware and PlayDead (indie dev that made Inside and Limbo).
  17. Great topic! Hmm, I think The Shivering Isles for Oblivion is an awesome piece of DLC (adds a whole new island and a ton of quests/enemies). Funnily enough, I think that may well be one of the first ever pieces of DLC I've ever bought as well.
  18. I played it over a friend's house and the combat was a lot of fun. Surprisingly good game!
  19. I've always wanted to check out The Legends Of Cold Steel series. I'm a sucker for well made JRPGs I always thought it was a PS Vita exclusive. Will definitely check it out on your recommendation!
  20. I also wanna give a shout out to Fallout: New Vegas!
  21. - Silent Hill 2 - The Last Of Us - FTL: Faster Than Light - Dark Souls - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Runner-ups: Deadly Premonition, PixelJunk Monsters, Skyrim, Limbo
  22. There'll be 20 games in total. So far they've just announced Tekken 3, Ridge Racer, Jumping Flash(?) and Final Fantasy VII. What other games would you like to hear get announced?
  23. Oldest handheld I own is a Game Boy, and the oldest home console I own at the moment is an OG Xbox. Used to have an old SNES but I gave it to a friend a few years ago and now I regret it!
  24. I really love the PS3. Granted, it had a slow start but once it picked up steam, it had an amazing first party lineup and the free online MP was a great tough, too. My favourite games on PS3 are The Last Of Us, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Super StarDust HD, PixelJunk Monsters and Heavy Rain. What were yours?
  25. For me, it would have to be The Nameless King from Dark Souls 3, Ornstein and Smough in Dark Souls, Orphan of Kos from the Bloodborne DLC and Manus Father of the Abyss from the OG Dark Souls DLC. What are yours?
