Howdy, Roboticist, 22 years old here-- Nice to meet y'all. The quarantine was killing me so I browsed things out of boredom then I happened to come across this website and decided to make an account therefore here I am. Yeah, stay safe and looking forward to be a part of this big, gaming community, I guess. 😅

It's Never to late to try it on my man. Pretty sure you can get the game dirt cheap on ebay/gamestop or wherever you want

Deus Ex Invisible War: The sequel to the greatest videogame ever is generally considered a failure, and most people dismissed it. While it is certainly not nearly as good as the original it is still an above average game, that deserved much more. I really enjoyed some aspects of it, it expanded on the concept of being able to play multiple sides, and in case you don't know it was one of the first big games that I know of that allowed the player to choose the gender of the protagonist.
Mass Effect Andromeda: This game really got the short end of the stick when it released, a bunch of 'influencers' convinced everyone that it is terrible and that was it for the game. While it certainly has some glaring issues it is still a very enjoyable game, and far better, than the generally well received Dragon Age Inquisition.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare: This was a typical case of wrong time at the wrong place. The game is simply loathed because it was not what the so called fans expected. They rejected the futuristic sci-fi concept. For me this was one of the most profound single player experiences, it might have been short but very impactful.
Dragon Age 2: Maybe not everyone hated this, but still there was a lot of outcry about EA ruining dragon age when this game dropped. I couldn't disagree more, I absolutely loved this game, despite the recycled maps. The combat was much more fluid and fast paced and less based on luck, and the story is much more interesting than of the first game. This is my favorite Dragon Age by far.
Ghost Recon Wildlands: Narco Road: OK, this is not exactly a full game, only a DLC, but one containing a full campaign that is longer than many other stand alone games. But everyone told me I shouldn't buy this because it is terrible. Well, I did it anyway, and this is why I never listen to the hype or hate anymore as this ended up being my favorite part of the game. Much more visceral, hard, and engaging, than the base game or the other expansion, Fallen Ghosts. I loved those too, but this is the real deal, getting to go undercover in the drug cartel, and being completely alone, not able to rely on anyone but yourself. It was a brutal experience, and the ending is the icing on the cake.
Terminator Resistance: This game opened to middling to outright hostile reviews, from all major publications, but all I've seen in it is a well intentioned oldschool shooter, that doesn't want to be more than that. And the result is a really enjoyable experience, that reignited memories of the old Terminator Future Shock / Skynet games.

I'm not sure if The Last of Us II and Cyberpunk 2077 counts as hated, or more like divisive, so I'll only mention them because I enjoyed both very much, they really made 2020 a worthy year for gaming, unlike the disaster that was 2021.

I'm not exactly sure why what I would have to say on this subject would be more interesting or relevant, but I'll chime in.

The notable difference between extremism and free speech is how it impacts other people. It is no longer your right to express something when that impedes on the rights or safety of somebody else. So, if a website is hosting something that's meant to spread hate, then that is not free speech. Saying "I hate insert" is free speech. You don't have to like it or agree it, but that is free speech. Saying "this is why you should hate insert"  is more questionable, and defiantly over line to say "should be violent towards insert". Such conversations online are no different to such conversations in real life.

What I can say to this is that I believe that people need to be given the opportunity to choose where they want to be, even if they showed some errors, there should be a system to correct and guide them back, but when they are presented that opportunity/chance but they choose to kick it, then they deserve all the sticks.

You are absolutely right about deradicalization not working on some people. The problem would then be where to put them. You couldn't just let them on the platform, but we can't just let them out into the deeper parts of the web, you've most certainly seen how toxic and hateful the surface web is, just imagine how bad the deep web is. I think when it comes to these type of people, there wouldn't be a answer that wouldn't involve some extreme measures. To be honest, I don't have the answers to that. I more of an optimist in people. We most certainly need to have a deeper conversation on this.

Techno got a reaction from kingpotato in MCU Phase 1 Review: The Incredible Hulk
This is my second part of the MCU phase 1 review, I will be doing all 6 films, and then rank all the films.

    SPOLIER WARNING
The Incredible Hulk, is the most unknown of the MCU films, it has the lowest box office performance (so far). It is perhaps, the least popular MCU film.
The Story: The Incredible Hulk is not a very interesting film, it has a very tame story. There is stakes, but they don't feel world-ending or personnel. This feels more rushed than Iron Man. But to be fair, it doesn't really hurt the film, rather it dulls it a little bit more. (2/5)

The Characters: The actors are good, but there isn't really anything special about them. There is no charm, wit, or emotion on them. The characters are the same way, Bruce Banner feels real enough, but the side characters are uninteresting, and feel stale. (2/5)

The Villain: The Abomination is not a very good villain, Iron Monger at least was an actual character, while he feels like more of a plot point rather than a person. (1/5)

The Soundtrack: I cant remember a single piece of music from this film. (1/5)

The Importance: The film was mainly abandoned after it's release. The only big thing to come out of the film was Hulk, but Shang-Chi did bring back Abomination, and General Ross has returned in some movies, but overall, you could skip it. (3/5)

Final Thoughts: The Incredible Hulk is the weakest film of Phase 1, it doesn't really do anything, nothing here feels special. Everything here is dull and lifeless. That's probably the best way to describe this film: dull and lifeless.

    Final Score: (2/5)

Because even a stupid human has their own intelligence, notice how well they lead the nations of the world, notice how fast they can make YouTube videos, notice how well they enforce the law. Stupid people are better leaders than a smart person, because a smart person will overthink politics, while a stupid person will undermine it.

Techno reacted to NightmareFarm in I think this generation of gaming will be much better than the last
We can now choose whether to prioritise frame rate or graphics(so in effect, 60fps is available on pretty much any game rather than 30fps being on everything), load times are very fast in comparison to having to wait minutes for screens to load on 8th gen(cough cough DMC5, FFXV), haptic feedback/adaptive triggers(if you're on PS5) and gaming in general is better. It feels like there's been more creative, varied and uniue games coming out lately whereas in the 2010s it felt more corporate and there were too many souls clones and sony movie games which stole all of the spotlight. Many games in 8th gen just felt stiff. Devs haven't even scratched the surface of the power of the 9th gen consoles but it's already a big improvement.
