    Lol, yeah yeah i got owned a couple of times this week so one more isn't going to hurt my feelings. Yep that's correct those are the 3 official languages (however since we're becoming more and more multicultural people speak whatever they want.
    Well we speak flamish, which is the same as duch but more of regional dialect then anything, kind of a bastard version of what they speak in holland.
    Nice eems like we're posting from all over the world!
    I wouldn't call myself fluent in english but i try my best. Most of my english was self taught over the years i did get some in school in later years but a whole lot, you would be suprised how watching movies/ playing games with subtitles can benefit you in getting better at a language.

    If i speak from nostalgia i have to say super monaco gp one and two on the sega megadrive/genesis. I still try to play trough the second game atleast once a year.
    Can't really say i have one favourite series but if i have to choose probably going to pick forza motorsport, the 4th being the highlight of the series. Maybe that changes if they release forza 8 this year or the next let's hope it does.
    I always had a lot of fun with the test drive unlimited series, they were cringy at best and the handling of the care were quite awfull but it did so much things that were new at the time nobody really cared about that.
    Sure i have nothing agains gran turismo and i had put many hours into the series but i feel like the series has been in a downward spiral after the 4th entry. GT 6 was quite good but nobody played that since by the time it got released, the ps4 was already out and people already moved on. GT7 With the recent micro transaction bullshit i don't know man, going to keep my hands away from that game for quit a while.

    Speaking from nostalgia i'd say tekken 3 was the highlight of the series but is it the best tekken game eh i prefer tekken tag tournament 2 to be honest, for easy going i'd suggest to just try Tekken 7 if you come across it cheap.

    Alright 300 posts, let's do this is how 300 xbone games on the floor look like one for each posts, you always see these big ps4 collections, but never xbox one/series x collections, well maybe that's for a reason but you know. I probably have another 50 orso more games but that's not really the point, but i doubt i'll get to 400 games when i may hit 400 posts, so guess i'll have to come up with something else :

    Time for one more i always like bringing this game up, because it's the last game in what once was a legendary series. So it's time for some nostalgia.
    Import Tuner Challenge / Shutokou Battle X (2006 Xbox 360)

    First thing i need to get out of the way this is not a need for speed underground clone, the Shutokou Battle series has been around since 1994. If you don't know what i'm talking about maybe tokyo extreme racer or tokyo highway challenge may ring a bell. There is also street supremacy on the psp which is exellent that is also part of this series. Several different publishers published the games hence the different names. Also why they diden't went with the japanese cover is beyond me as it looks so much better.
    And here we are released in 2006 and published by ubisoft, yep back in the day ubisoft were willing to take a chance on something risky, they weren't afraid to release a few stinkers here and there. Is import tuner challenge a stinker, i'm going to say no it's not, is it a good game well that's up for debate.
    The game is your standard affair you start with a beginner car and beat rivals in turn you earn money to upgrade your car. Their is a story but all in all it's forgettable. The main objection is to beat all the racers in a gang and then take on their leader and if you win, you get their car. You drive around tokyo's various highways challenging various racers, earning some money upgrading your car rince and repeat for most people that sounds boring and i'll admit it is.
    Let's start with the good stuff import tuner challenge has by far the best car customization i have ever seen in a racing game, literally anything can be changed and upgraded towards different levels. The car selection is jdm cars only but that's not a bad thing imo, all the tuning parts are real licensed from various brands, you can put stickers on your car to make it look unique but eh why should you do that.
    Gameplay wise i had to replay it a bit since it's been so long, the driving is just not fun anymore, you can beat the ai so easy, even if they have the faster car you can just block them the entire "race".  You win when you're opponent is a certain distance behind. Graphics i can look past it it's a 16 year old game after all but it sure as hell hasen't aged very well. The environment look bland and uninspired, there isen't a whole lot of traffic and you race always in the dark.
    Why do i bring this game up, i had a lot of fun with import tuner challenge when it first came out, was it a good game when it released maybe not, is it bad game i'll say i've played worse.
    I just wanted to highlight the last game released in a once great series, it probably diden't help that it was 360 only and by 2006 a lot of the once populair tuning scene was in serious decline. It also marked the end of smaller racing game series, because let's face it it's just gran turismo, forza, grid, dirt whatever licensed game like f1/wrc these days there is no more room for niche racing games in todays market.
    Should you go grab this, maybe if you see it a flea market orso for a few bucks pick it up and put it out if it's mysery. Otherwise no it sells for quite a bit of money on ebay. The japanese version is quite sought after aswell i've seen it going near the 100$ mark, no before you ask i did not pay that much.

    You're damn right it is the best indie game ever made imo Also the best farming/ life simulator game out there and since it was made by only one person  makes it even more impressive. I'd say i'd put stardew valley into my top 10 games of all time.
    Also what do folks here define under indie games, it's a term used so broadly these days, like if rocket league is considered an indie game, what about minecraft it's also something that could be considered an indie game despite being one of the most populair games out there at the moment.

    I've been meaning to reply to this thread, since i played a ton of games to fall under this category. Since each entry is going to take me quite a while i'll just do one game at a time, whenever i have some spare time. I'll just start with one of the first games that came to my mind :

    WorldNeverland- Elnea Kingdom (Nintendo Switch 2018)

    Alright where do i even start with this game, it's a bit after 6pm on a sunny friday evening, got nothing planned so let me grab a beer as i am typing this.
    Wtf is this shit i hear you saying, well World neverland is a long running series of life simulation games with farming/rpg elements that up until 2018 never saw life outside of japan. If you read any of my posts, you gotta know by now that i really like my japanese stuff and offcourse life simulation games aka games you play for way too long for your own good. I'm just going to talk about the game above since it's the only one in english and while they are on my to buy list i've only fucked around a bit with one game on the dreamcast.
    I'm pretty sure this came out on mobile as a free to play game, i'm not sure how that version is so i'm going to stick with the 29,99 switch version well on the eshop it is that price. If you want it physical no doubt going to cost more but is it worth it. Man already this much text and i haven't gotten around to the game itself yet.
    I'll admit the game looks like shit, think maybe a ds game, gameplay wise their isen't much going on, you press a button to do an action and that's it. However let that not fool you because there is a lot to like here, you start out as a traveller and your goal is to become a citizen of the kingdom. The game holds your hand here for now so you know what you are doing since it plays out pretty much as tutorial you can't possible fail. Making friends is quite easy just by talking to them a few times they are your friends, you can even have best friends and offcourse you can get married with i'd suggest a character of your age, you age 3 times as fast a we are. After you become a permanent citizen you can pretty much become what you want, altough it's take a damn long time. Like i started out as farmer and had the possibilty to become head of the farmers since i had the highest score of any of the farmers for that year, instead i choose to become a guardsmen and set my goal towards becoming head of the imperial knights, a year later my wife also become an imperial knight which i tought was a cool thing. By this time i was maxed out in pretty much anything and wasted about 150 hours of my life and since i had 3 kids, i decided to take over as my son, the cool thing here is that all your belongings are passed over to your kid and while it's funny you pretty much have a kid that can one hit kill anything in most dungeons. I tought it was cool to see that my original character did his own thing after that, i never got around seeing him die because you know i wasted enough time already.
    There are several jobs you can do like become member of the mountain corps, become a priest, hell you can even become king or queen how many hours that would take that i don't know guess i won't find out until i try but the question is should i.
    All in all i've put about 220 hours into World neverland, there is a lot that games like story of seasons  should take note off, your character dies of old age, you can play as your kids, become whoever you want, pretty much building your own dynasty and let's face this offers a potential of unlimited gameplay. i'm out now let's go grab another beer and if you make it this far thank you for reading and enjoy the weekend. Man i'm 4 days off work, even tough i shoulden't dare i gave world neverland another go in the upcoming days.
    if you're interested i'll just post the switch trailer :

    Pretty sure dragon's dogma was made in japan since the director  was behind the orignal devil may cry game and many classic capcom fighters. It still has the somewhat japanese style especially the characters imo, i think the most unique system the game offers is that up to two of your companions can be downloaded from other players, like you could have my main character as a companion in your game well should you wish to do so, i tought that was a cool feature for the time.
    DD also had bosses that you could climb similair to shadown of the colossus, their was something satisfying climbing a giant snake with several heads and cutting them off one by one. Other then that it's quite good from what i remember, the combat is more on the hack and slash side which i like, can't comment on the other classes since i always end playing as a warrior/fighter type class in rpg's.
    i'm sorry i can't add more as it's been like what 10 years since i played it, i also remember that it originally came with a resident evil 6 demo download code, no doubt to sell more units not that it needed it offcourse as it was by far the better game.
    Despite owning it i never got around to playing the remastered dark arisen version version, so i suppose that would be the version to get.
    On a sidenote i'm still on the hunt for a japanese 360 collectors edition that came with a dragon statue. I either forget about the auction or the asking price is way too much ahwell fucking first world problems man it never ends.

    Yes, the topic is centred around Driver, already we're off, I'll come back to the topic, let me address something first before coming back to the topic lol.
    You aren't wrong in any way, you spoke very gentle, I'm happy you didn't attack me, you acted humble, I must applaud that. I might have gone off too, I use this medium to apologize, we learn from each other here everyday. I am not perfect, I make mistakes, I learn from them trying to improve. I learn from you too, you share quality posts everyday here at VGR, that's why admin of VGR nominated you in one of the VGR's member of the month award. If you weren't good at your posts, it wouldn't be possible then for the admin to spot you. I understand that, I do enjoy making short posts, not that I don't write long posts, but in forum like this, you share your knowledge as it pleases to you without spamming.
    I will try to read more clearly next time, to always to be on topic of discussion, and not going off, making others finding it difficult to proceed in that thread. I believe the issue is settled now, we can now keep this thread going with the original topic, which is 'Driver, xD.

    @Justin11 and @Yaramaki

    Well, there is quite a lot to get through here isn't there.

    @Justin11, this post of yours;

    Could be seen as an attempt to derail the thread. It's OK on this thread to mention Watchdogs as there is a link between that game and Driver. You could even go so far as to say Driver, or more specifically Driver 3, is the reason Watchdogs exists. I'll post more on that as a regular post once I'm done with this for anyone who is interested, but the point is there is a link. However, there is no link between Watchdogs and MotoGP, or MotoGP and Driver for that matter. They are different genre's of games and, to the best of my knowledge and research, they do not and have never shared a developer or publisher. Bringing this up here in this thread is bringing something completely unrelated. Honestly, you may as well have said this;

    And it's especially puzzling that, even by your own admission, you never played Watchdogs, so what did you have to add? We all become aware of specific game's reputation, but posting about that rarely adds to anyone's knowledge of said game, especially if they've played it and you haven't. It frustrates people who know first hand what a game is like. You had literally nothing to add, so make an excuse to post something then tried to make the conversation about a completely different game just to have something to say. In the world of forums, that's called derailing. An on VGR, it is a classic example of the "post anything to post something" mantra that has been frustrating the community lately. I can't speak for him, but I'm willing to bet it is that frustration that boiled over in @Yaramaki. So whilst I will not condone the actions of @Yaramaki (and we WILL talk about that), I can understand them. You, @Head_Hunter, @Boblee and others think there there is no harm to this? Well, here it is! Here is the harm, alongside a very familiar headache for me that goes along with it. If you want to talk about Moto GP, talk about Moto GP, on a Moto GP thread! If there isn't one, start one, it really isn't hard. I sense a very strange reluctance from those of you who post in this manner to start new threads for some reason I can't understand. You seem more content to spin other threads off course to better suit your subject manner.

    Now, @Yaramaki, like I said, your is frustration shared by many on VGR, but try to keep that reigned in. The following goes for everyone, If see something that you feel needs looked at by the mod team, report it. Calling it out and addressing it yourself on the public form will almost always only make it worse. Reporting someone is not an attempt to get anyone in trouble, it's merely calling something to our attention and nothing more. So you see, you were wrong;

    I didn't take action before this because I thought what you were doing was OK, I didn't take action because your mention of me in that post was the first I even knew about this. Since you have apologized and it seems resolved I'll take this no further, but I hope to leave this post with lessons being learned on all sides,

    Now, moving on.

    Yaramaki got a reaction from Justin11 in Is it most fun to be a newbie, a powerful high level character, or something in between?
    I'd say somewhere in between, the longer you are into a game and gain more abilities the easier the game usually gets. Besides games these days throw xp like their is no tommorow so you're pretty much maxed out by two thirds of the game. It may not be best example but most ubisoft games are like that, if you do everithing along the way, you pretty have unlocked every ability and reached the max level and on the standard difficulty their games are already fairly easy.
  21. Haha
    Yaramaki got a reaction from Justin11 in DRIVER
    Man where do i even start with this or should i even bother, you're clearly mad at me so i'll try to explain for what it's worth. You shoulden't take everithing that people say for granted, Look up a youtube review or a trailer and then judge wheter it's a game you like it or not, we've got all different tastes and you know that's fine since it's pointless to discuss somebody their taste. I for example i'm not into mobile free to play games at all, but do you see me blindly posting in a candy crush thread and saying that the game is shit, i stay out of it because it's something i don't know a lot about and quite honestly don't really care about.
    If you really feel inclined to post then you should start phrasing it otherwise for example : While i have not played the series and From what i have read about watch dogs it isen't something i would be into or like? That would makes sense instead of this gibberish  :
    I try to read everithing clearly before i make a comment but sometimes i get annoyed by the time it takes me to filter trough all the nonesense some folks seem to love posting and the good quality posts get lost. Claiming you don't say shit i mean you're one of the most active user on vgr so that is another false claim.
    Where did i say i know everithing you may think that way but i still have a lot to learn. Besides I'm always open to learn new things in life, i even learned something from you @Justin11 you may not realise it yourself but when you posted that picture that you got a ps4 it made my day, i'm sure you were stoked as hell, like you know a kid that get's it's first console as i'm pretty sure you had that feeling.
    So what did i learn from you is that i should be more humble in life, i always take everithing for granted, while i work hard, make good money and have a good like in general that's not the case for everybody. In other parts of the world some people work much harder then me for a salary that is laughable low, you know next time i'll donate something whenever there is a good cause around that i feel okay with, instead of just ignoring it all together.
    One last thing you should really check out any watch dogs game, i'm currently playing trough the second game and must say it suprised me in a good way. Dude now that a ps4 you have an entire generation of games to catch on, what are you waiting for.
    Maybe my previous posts went a bit out of line so if you can forgive me please accept my apoligies, you seem like a good dude and i just wanted to give some good advice. I think @Shagger would have pointed it out already if i went overboard.

    Dude stop bringing up Motogp every time please, i get it you like motogp and if i'm being honest i haven't played a motogp game since valentino rossi the game and that let's be honest it was not that good of a game. I did play all the entries in the Ride series which is from the same people behing the motogp series and all are eh just mediocre games. I even tried my hands at some motorcross games from them and those are laughably bad.
    You know moto gp 09/10 back when Capcom still had the license is a much better game then anything milestone has released to date.
    Also please start using sentences that make sense, because what you write above is making my head spin.
    And one more thing while i'm at it clearly you have not played any watch dogs :  Please stop posting shit about a game that you have not played yet, stop jumping on the bandwagon just because someone else isen't into something doesen't mean that you woulden't like it!
