I get that feeling very well and it's why you kind of played more games in the genre that you would be able to pick out from the many exactly what works for you. Without trail, you wouldn't really be able to know and not even after reading reviews about the game. 

Actually, I ended up messing up and missing out on getting Black Frost, so I feel like starting all over again on the "Easy" difficulty this time, with a proper walkthrough telling me how not to miss out on all the routes/collectibles I can get.
I had a really tough time just yesterday with a battle where the JSDF soldiers were escaping and I had to stop them while trying to crack the skills, so that was a pain. Stopping them was one thing, but it's so easy to miss out on cracking the skills you want because you need to have the characters you tagged at the beginning of the battle to defeat the enemies with the skills you want; anyone else who defeats those enemies means you've lost the skills. It's frustrating.
I was never really great at strategy games, so it makes sense why I'm having such a tough time. lol I generally avoid RTS and 4x games because of this.

I have had similar experience with such kind of people who rates anime lovers low and to be very honest with you, I don't give a damn about what they say because it's completely useless. I'm even in one anime forum and I'm enjoying my time there. 

I generally don't tell people I watch anime, because even in modern communities, especially Discord, people still make fun of you for being a "weeb." It really doesn't hep that I'm also a big visual novel fanatic, and VNs tend to be labeled as "weeb games with naughty anime girls," when nothing could be further from the truth.

I really need to get back to watching The Wire and The Sopranos someday. I had to stop when I went on my SMT binge, pausing all the shows I was watching. I just got started watching season 2 of both Wire and Sopranos too (and season 2 of Breaking Bad as well).
The Wire is a tough show to watch though because of its pacing. lol I had to replay certain scenes sometimes because I would miss out on what the characters were talking about. It's easier to follow the show though than say... Mad Men, which I was also watching season 2 of.

I'm still looking for where or how to get all The Powerpuff Girls cartoon in one collection. There's no way I can never get tired or bored by the cartoon. How they fight monsters is still so fresh in my mind like I watched it few minutes ago. 

This is where our individual differences and preferences kicks in. I have been bored to death with what EA have been doing with their FIFA games for years. Now comes the concept behind the development of Rocket League. The difference it's got from actual football game is what makes it a continual play game for me. 

If you ever played simulation games for too long, they always tend to bore you out. It's why I don't spend too much time on them. The DLC was a good escape that adds a little bit of fresh air into the game. It's only Microsoft Flight Simulator that never bored me no matter how much I played it. 

I'm always thriller by anything that's related to magic and spells. It's one of the biggest reasons why I'm so interested in the game. I never missed any of their old and new movies. Slytherin have always been my favourite house - I love the sense of doing evil that's linked to the house. 

I never found it any easier either when I played it. I hope you're making progress? 
I'm have been playing Gran Turismo 7 all day. 

Some video games doesn't just click with you no matter what you do or how many times that you try to force play it. 
It's happened to me with quite a few number of games and I knew right away that there's no point in try to push it.

I enjoy RPGs and adventure games, particularly games where your choices affect the story like Mass Effect and Detroit: Become Human. I got into Shin Megami Tensei games recently and I'm currently playing through Devil Survivor: Overclocked on my New 3DS. Aside from gaming, I also like to binge-watch older TV shows like The Sopranos and The Wire, but I haven't had much time to do that ever since I got into the SMT-binge. Oh well.

I've already pre-ordered this on the PS5 because it contained a bonus quest available on the platform. Plus, open world magic school; I'd say it's about time. I'm not a big HP fan either (I find the latter half of the movies kinda boring with their YA romance/drama), but just the idea of being able to attend a magic school like Hogwarts kinda draws me in... plus I always found the discussions of "which House do you belong in?" interesting (I was often slotted into Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff), so I'm glad that we can finally get slotted into those Houses for real this time.

Currently playing through Devil Survivor: Overclocked. It's a pretty challenging SRPG. The story's not bad though.

Sounds great. 😄 I am enjoying the SMT games so far, so I'm glad to see more fans around.
No kidding. Devil Survivor in particular is consuming the most of my time so far with its annoyingly tricky victory conditions. I can't even rely on the typical Atlus paid DLCs to boost my level up for an easier game because there is none for DeSu. It reached a point where I just feel like giving up on cracking the skills during battles and just get it over with by defeating the enemies ASAP, regardless of whether I've succeeded in cracking the skills.
