I'd probably just end up playing board games and card games.

Most recently it has been Far Cry 5. It left a pretty impact on me.

For me with Call of Duty I was mostly just really into how the series kept going in a more and more futuristic direction. When it stopped doing that and started going back to WW2 stuff and modern warfare stuff, I stopped buying the games.

Constantly if it's a RPG. It helps with immersion I feel.

I legit can't remember any moment I enjoyed it. I hated the character, I hated the story, I hated the gameplay just... everything. It almost made me throw my PC out in frustration. I honestly struggle to see the appeal of it or even what's so scary about it. Most of the time I felt manipulated and like the game was going "oooh look at you, you're so insane, you're seeing and hearing things, OMFG YOU'RE SO SCARED" and it just felt like the character I was playing was reacting, not me and it just got really annoying. The horror didn't get to me cause there was just constantly stuff putting me out of any immersion I might have had. Not to mention the gameplay felt super contrived and just annoying with how you had to constantly look for lamp oil and such. It just felt forced.

Going to do a review of it. It's pretty fun so far, and kinda has that typical Battle Royale intensity to it. If you're a BR fan, definitely try it out.

Cause I literally can't play it. It has some of the worst controls I've ever experienced. Granted it was one of the earliest 3d platformers but I've never been able to get a grip on the controls and gameplay. I also just never played it growing up so I have not much nostalgia attached to it beyond reading some ads.

It's probably my favourite BR game so far. In fact it's the only BR so far I've actually played for any length of time.

A lot of 90's shooters and stuff like 90's Tomb Raider is extremely nostalgic for me and I go back to those games constantly.

About as much of a waste of time as reading a book or watching a movie. In other words it depends on what you get out of it.

I'm a female and I know plenty of girls who enjoy video games. I'm not really sure if more males enjoy it but males tend to be "louder" I feel so maybe they just get seen more. In either case, it's definitely something for both genders. Having grown up with a mother who is a gamer, I never felt it was anything exclusive to males.
