  1. I still have my old Windows XP computer. I play AOE2 and Diablo II on it when I hook it up. I don't use it very often, but I'm still able to play those games when I want.
  2. I have a black and gold Zelda edition headset that I had forgotten about until a day or two ago. It works great for recording with games, or just playing in general.
  3. Considering the mass of games I have, I do hope to play them all, but doubt I will be able to. I'm in the 4 digit range of how many titles I own, and even if I played only one game per day, it would still take several years to play them all. Hell it would take at least 6 months just to play all the games I have on my Switch. Hell I have 116 DDL's and 23 carts, many of which are multiple game carts. Then there's all the other systems I own. So, yeah. It gets overwhelming at times. When that happens, I just play something that I'm completely familiar with, and feel that I've mastered. Just an easy laid back experience.
  4. The Colecovision was great. It didn't sell as well as the Atari 2600, despite being compatible with Atari games with the expansion. I played it for hours a day until the NES hit the market. Then I was dying for it. The sad thing is that I didn't appreciate the Colecovision when had it, and now I desperately want another one.

  6. I started gaming in the Atari 2600 era. So I have been here for pretty much every generation of gaming.
  7. By my count there have actually been 9 GTA games release thus far. I don't know the order of release but, 1) Grand Theft Auto 2) Grand Theft Auto III 3) Grand Theft Auto IV 4) Grand Theft Auto V 5) Chinatown Wars 6) The Lost And Damned 7) Liberty City 8.) San Andreas 9) Vice City After so many entries (correct me if I'm wrong on any of that) a series typically starts to get stale. I mean, look at what's happened to TLOZ and Castlevania. Castlevania had a couple flops on PS3 and to my knowledge hasn't been seen since. And Zelda BOTW, while successful, wasn't nearly as popular as Nintendo had hoped. Which is why they released BOTW2 so quickly. Now, I don't play GTA, as it never appealed to me. I've tried a few entries and they just weren't my thing. But I am somewhat observant, and after the massive success and popularity of GTA V, I don't think Rockstar will be able to top it. In my opinion, they should go out on top and be done with the series. Many will say I'm an idiot on that, but I feel the same way about TLOZ. But Nintendo will never drop that one either. The most successful series are huge money makers, so they stay with them. It's one of the reasons some people buy FIFA every year. Many say there's not a damn bit of difference, but they still keep buying it.
  8. Silent Hill, doesn't really thrill me as a horror game anymore. I have a few Amnesia games, and like them really well. But my favorite by far is Layers Of Fear: Legacy. Another great series is Outlast. That's a ride and a half too. Question 2: Have you ever played an authentic NES?
  9. I don't game on my PC often, but when I do, I shut everything off that isn't gaming related. I exit things like Discord and Steam. I make sure Windows Media Player is turned off, and that I don't have any folders or documents open. I only leave things that are necessary for the protection of my computer open. That leaves me a safe and enjoyable gaming experience. But then again the only game I play regularly on my PC is Hatred, so that may make a difference. As I've said many times before, I'm not a fan of online gaming, so I don't play on PC much, if at all.
  10. It could be interesting to have a game from Bowser's point of view. He's always been the antagonist to Mario, but it would be interesting to see why he has such a fixation on Princess Peach, or as she was originally known, Princess Toadstool. I'm sure there are other princesses that he could go for, but why her all the time? And he could easily have killed Mario many times over, but has chosen to toy with him every time. But then again, that seems to be par for the course for antagonists. I never understood toying with your target instead of just killing them and being done with it.
  11. I don't personally enjoy online gaming, so going pro and having to play alongside others doesn't appeal to me personally. As mentioned by @Empire being able to play an instrument shouldn't equate to requirement of a professional career. For example I play an aulos. There's little call for that unless I find a Celtic band that would want it. I'm also trying to learn guitar. I would like to play relaxing acoustic, and be able to shred 80's style. But I don't see myself ever having any desire of going pro.
  12. Point taken. And for my question: Do you like horror games? If so, are there any you would recommend?
  13. This forum isn't going anywhere. It's @DC's baby. I'm pretty sure he worked his ass off building it and getting traffic to it.
  14. eBay has a lot of people selling custom skins for systems. I found one that is RDR2 that I thought of getting. I like the RDR2 skin, but there are skins for pretty much any game you can think of, and all different designs. Here's a pic of one of my favorites.
  15. Sometimes. Once in a while I like to sit back and watch @Rain Dew play. Especially if she's playing RDR2. I have always enjoyed watching her play that. I've played it infinitely more than she has at this point, but I still like watching her play. Once in a while she enjoys watching me play, but not as much as I enjoy watching her.
  16. Here soon I will be on my second. I would still be on my first if our fucking dog hadn't decided that it was a chew toy.
  17. That's a frightening thought. But there are better and easier ways to make money. For example you could eat dog shit for a quarter. You could walk up to the UN and piss on their front door for a nickle. You could hold down your top government official (president, king/queen, prime minister, etc.) sit on their head and fart on their face for a dollar. Or you could go on a hunger strike for a dollar a day just to see how long you could go until you gave in or died. Better yet, you could kidnap these idiots that keep coming up with this shit and throw them in a pit that will never be found. I will give you everything I own, and my undying love for that one. But only if it permanently ends this epidemic. Please, someone hack the military database and drop an ICBM on my head.
  18. I wish Mario's Planet Quest had actually been released. Being an astronomy nut (or astronophile as I call myself) that game would easily have made my top ten. Most likely my top 5 or even top 3. And to the uneducated, don't get your panties in a twist about the "phile" part. "Phile" is simply an extension that can be added to any word to denote fondness. I'm sure everyone here is an oxygenphile, or foodphile.
  19. I put some of those puffy stickers that were popular at the time on my first Nintendo. They were all NES related. SMB and TLOZ mainly. I've thought about painting some of my systems but haven't done it yet. I've found a guy who makes fully functional wooden Nintendo systems. I've thought about buying one just for the novelty.
  20. If and when @DC and @Shagger feel they need an extra hand they'll discuss it and make a choice. But from what I can see, they have things well under control. Unless that changes however, I don't see a second mod any time in the near future.
  21. Valid points, but all those labels are based on a 2000 calorie diet. I don't know of anyone who limits what they eat to 2000 calories per day. That's next to impossible unless you're vegetarian or vegan. 2000 calories won't keep a person going. The adult human body needs more than that to keep up with daily life. Unless they live an entirely sedentary life, there's no way 2000 calories will suffice.
  22. Hitler was none of that. He was never able to successfully win a campaign. He would send the nazis into battle, and when they were on the brink of victory, he would order a retreat. He was an idiot when it came to warfare, despite having fought in WW1. If you want someone to think about along those lines, Genghis Khan would be a much better choice. As for me, I would pick some uncaught serial killers and use them as assassins. Mainly, the one that I truly admire. The Zodiac Killer. He was pure genius. Jack the Ripper would be up there, as well as Spring Heeled Jack. Maybe DB Cooper could fit the bill. The Bone Collector could be another. Another would be whoever, or whatever, killed Elisa Lam.
  23. Being on disability, I will say right now that if it wasn't for food stamps, I would be back to dumpster diving for food again. My disability check barely covers bills, and leaves little to nothing for food. So I don't have much of a choice but to buy the unhealthy stuff that's overloaded with fats and sugars, just so I can put something in my stomach. The government doesn't care though. They make a move when the general public gets their panties in a twist, but otherwise ignore most issues like this.
