  1. It's also one of the worst abominations ever made in the history of games.
  2. The wolves circling around below them waiting to feast on their corpses.
  3. As soon as I heard Hunter's name, I knew this was one of the most moronic arguments a judge ever made. First off, we're seeking the tax returns of a former president, who is a known con artist. We're not looking for Ivanka's tax returns. We're not looking for Eric's tax returns. We're looking for those of Adolf himself. Second, Hunter is not the president. His *FATHER* is the president. Turn over Joe Biden's tax returns. If there's a discrepancy I want to know what it is and why it's there. I'm a hardcore liberal Democrat, but there's something that needs to be known. When someone takes that oath of office to the President of the United States, every second of their life while they're in office is my business. What bills they're working on, who they're meeting with, what they had for lunch, and how long the last piss they took was and what color it was. The lunch and piss thing was an analogy. When you become the ruler of a country, your surrender certain things that citizens take for granted. Certain aspects of privacy. I neither need/want to know, nor do I care, what he had for lunch or anything about his bathroom breaks. That is something that has to be known going in. Adolf led the birther movement trying to claim that Obama wasn't born in the US. Now he's fighting his taxes being revealed. Which tells me that there are no records to reveal, because he has been dodging paying taxes for decades. Not paying his taxes could land his ass straight in prison, and he knows it. We already know he's a draft dodger. What is there to lead us to believe that he wouldn't be a tax dodger as well?
  4. For fuck's sake, give it up Adolf. You're not going to get what you want this time.
  5. When it gets later int eh game, I tend to leave FF8 running for a day or two to farm items. I equip counter, and an elemental attack that will heal whatever I'm fighting. I also turn on the invincibility, so that I don't get killed. It requires Rinoa in your party, and she has to have the Angelo Search ability learned. Leave it running, and let Angelo come in and dig up items over the next several days. Is that cheating? It's the only way I've been able to get a couple items in game, such as Ribbons. I don't know where I actually stand on this, but I'm leaning more toward it being cheating. But I also know that when I get to a point in the 3rd disc era I tend to get bored. I rarely go to the 4th disc, because the only place to go is Ultimecia's castle, and the "bosses" there are pathetically easy, including her. So there's little to nothing to do on the 4th disc. But either way I'm curious what others think. Is it cheating, despite the fact that I'm now in mostly goof off point?
  6. You can already gamble through apps as if you were actually in a casino. Real money, virtual slot machine. Virtual poker. Virtual blackjack. All with real money. I don't remember the title, but there was a game released, that the more you played, the more money you could make doing it. I think it was a mobile game and went the way of the dodo several years ago. As for being able to verify age, most of the time you have to have a credit card and ID to put on file with the app/game. There's obviously no IOU's in this.
  7. Games nowadays offer very little actual challenge. There's not a whole lot that you have to do to win at the game. And with open world games, you don't even have to play the story of the game. Also some of the main quest choices are entirely optional so you don't have to involve yourself in them. In RDR2 you can stay out picking herbs and hunting deer all the time and never see your camp again. Games need a serious shake up to get some challenge back. Devs need to look back at the early days, mainly the 1980's, and see what made those game so successful and what the challenge in them was like.
  8. It looks interesting. I'd have to get on game pass to see what it's going for before I would say whether I have any actual interest first.
  9. Considering that you get to execute inmates, I'm interested. But @Empire is unfortunately right. If it exists, there's a simulator game for it. Has anyone else come across House Cleaning Simulator yet? If you think I'm full of shit, I don't blame you. I wouldn't believe me either. But I actually saw the mind bending monstrosity at Walmart recently. This entire simulator fad has officially gone way too damn far.
  10. While the world is too obsessed with technology, the real world isn’t going anywhere. Until we finally destroy the environment and render the earth completely uninhabitable, there’s no plausible chance of it happening.
  11. Geocaching always seemed too complicated to me to figure it out. It looks like fun, but it seems to just be beyond me.
  12. I think games were just a completely different enterprise back then. Games were more unique, and some were so massive that you had to spend a lot more time than expected to find your way around. For example Blaster Master is a huge game. You will spend hours in Area 2 trying to find the boss if you don’t know your way already. And you would think that the way to the next world would be found in the world you’re currently in. Two leads to three, three leads to four, four leads to five, etc. Not so much. For example the entrance to Area 4 is found in Area 1. It’s one of the games that had kids calling up the developers and going WHAT THE FUCK?!
  13. Considering the amazing job he has done, and the respect he gives all the members (even the ones he's not fond of) I'm nominating @Shagger for member of the month.
  14. Exactly. When a game has a task or dungeon that is simply impossible to do, I lose my mind. I have been playing Zelda: Goddess Of Wisdom for 6 years now, and the way it's designed, I have only beaten 3 dungeons. It put bosses from Link To The Past in it, but the ones who scripted it, over powered them, and they're near impossible to beat. And on top of that, normal sword slashes pass right through most of the time, doing absolutely no damage. So you have to figure out what attack mode actually damages them while trying to not die. A challenge is great. An unbeatable challenge is unfair and cruel.
  15. I don't drink often, only when I have a craving. But that said, RDR2 has a strange effect on me. When Arthur picks up a bottle of whiskey, I always want a shot. So I keep a bottle of Evan Williams beside me. It's 100 proof, and my favorite. I don't take a shot every time, but a lot of the time I just get a craving. I haven't been drunk in forever. I keep myself in check, but I do give into the urge once in a while to take a drink.
  16. I like a challenge, but a reasonable one. I don't like games that are designed to not be beaten. That is just ridiculous and cruel to the player. If you think I'm bullshitting you, then go out and buy a copy of Zelda: Goddess Of Wisdom, and see how well you do on it. It's a ROM-hack on SNES, so it may be difficult to find. But that game is literally designed to not be beaten.
  17. I always recommend a disc capable version of a system. Forget the price of the console itself for the moment. The disc system contains all the capabilities on a digital system. But as already said it also has the capability to run a disc based game. Also there may come a game that is only released on a disc that you really want. Well you're screwed there, unless you buy a second console that has disc capabilities. Whether you ever actually use it is irrelevant. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Also, say you have a game that is a DDL on your Xbox One. Well you're going to have to buy it again for your Xbox Series S. Or if you have it on disc. You're going to have to buy it again. You're going to end up rebuying a lot of games. It just makes a lot more sense to me to get the disc capable version of a console than to get the completely digital version that lacks disc capabilities.

  19. That's honestly not something that ever crossed my mind. I would say they train 12 hours minimum. Like Super Smash Bros would take a ton of constant training to be at a competition level. Any random fighting game like Mortal Kombat would take a shitload of training as well. You can't just do it for an hour or two to reach competition level. To truly master a game, you have to play it several hours a day, and I assume for several years as well. Also I wonder, how does a person get into eSports to be a competitor? I haven't been able to find a definitive answer to that question anywhere. I may be doing a bad search, but I just can't find it.
  20. I got to watching their videos again, and have a question. Unfortunately the only way I could think of to get it answered was to bump this thread so people would know what the hell I'm talking about. Listen to the actors talk in their real voice at the end of the videos. Someone who knows, would you tell me if they have a British accent or Australian accent? Those are the two that I just can't tell apart. There's a few others, but considering the actors of these videos, the others are irrelevant.
