  1. As an American I can confirm this. This country is so damn pussy whipped that it's pathetic. Everyone is actively looking for something to freak out about, even if they have to make it up. Central Park Karen is a prime example of this.
  2. The only date I could find on there was the release date of the game, so I don't know when the sale runs out.
  3. I think the point was missed. I was meaning for people having trouble with the game. Difficulty finishing a part of it, or trying to find something. Actual gameplay questions not trivia. But I never specified in the initial post the way I should have, so this is my fuckup. But to answer your questions: Gaptooth Breach. Or if you don't like that one, it would be Tumbleweed. Alberto Fussar
  4. I checked Steam, and it's $14.99 on there at the moment. It's on sale half price right now. The normal price on it is $29.99. So it's pretty much the same price either way.
  5. I know a few, but they're cheesy. I also know several card tricks and they're even cheesier. But it is what it is.
  6. Generally, for the majority of my life, I would have said yes. It's simply because the only true unknown is what, if anything, lies after death? Is death the end, or the beginning? Is there nothing and it's just a cessation of all consciousness where nothing is left but an empty shell? Is there reincarnation? Is it heaven/hell? Do we all become earth bound ghosts? Do we ascend to a higher consciousness like Nirvana? At this point I don't care, but I just hope there is something besides a cessation. I don't think there is, but maybe I'll be surprised.
  7. Tell them they came to the wrong person, because they most definitely don't want me to answer their question. I'll answer, but they better be prepared for the potential fallout when their feelings get decimated.
  8. I grew up riding horses. I'm not sure what kind of bike you're referring to, but I've owned bicycles and motorcycles and enjoyed them both. I have also had cars. I would probably go with the horse, as I can ride them down trails in the woods. But a motorcycle is SOOOOOOO liberating.
  9. This is somewhat a difficult answer for me. On one hand, I would say Alaska, because seeing the northern lights firsthand is the only thing on my bucket list. On the other hand, I would like to see so many more things in Mexico that just what I've seen in the Yucatan. Teotihuacán is one, and the island of the dolls is another. And for some reason, that I don't even know myself, I have always wanted to visit Tijuana. I've seen it from across the border while in San Diego, but not had the opportunity to actually go there. Alaska has my bucket list, but Mexico has more that I want to see and experience. So I honestly can't decide.
  10. Annie Palmer was one psycho bitch. Boiling oil in one husbands ears, and dust from the bones of dead babies. "If I survive I'll marry five." I would love to know what powers were actually summoned the night she died against the slave that also knew Voodoo. In the end, he saved his daughter and her fiancee, but it cost him his life. People have shown pictures of her "grave" but she was reportedly buried in an unmarked grave somewhere on the plantation. Crosses on 3 sides to contain her powers and the 4th left open so her spirit could wander never finding rest. She's one of the more feared and dangerous duppies on the island.
  11. I've seen several murders since then. I lost 4 years to heavy drug abuse, and it kinda goes with the territory.
  12. Snakes On A Plane was one of the dumbest fucking movies I've ever seen in my life. I don't know what the hell kind of crack the creators were smoking, and what the hell they spiked the actor's drinks with to get them to do the damn movie, but it must have been some powerful shit. I've seen creature features, and B movies, but those are Oscar winners compared to Snakes On A Plane.
  13. I have 3 rings that are white gold, but none of them are worth enough to bother with. I could only get maybe $50 for the most valuable one, and that's if I'm lucky and manage to haggle really well. The other two are probably more in the $10 range.
  14. I've been stabbed with a pencil and shot in the leg. I would happily take either over a papercut.
  15. I wouldn't say it's simply distaste. I used to enjoy them before I enlisted. But after what I experienced in the military, my psyche can't handle them without me completely having a break from reality. And when that happens, things get ugly.
  16. I wish I could say I was surprised. Anyone a little "different" is a prime target for abuse and general bigotry. I've been through it as well. I'm not autistic, but I have my issues. But charging an 11 year old child with a felony because he was reiterating something he saw in a fucking game is going so far beyond ridiculous that I can't even begin to measure it. But I do agree with the article. Felony depression. Felony OCD. Felony schizophrenia. Felony bi-polar. Felony Tourettes. Felony Down syndrome. Where does it end? For that matter, why the fuck did it even start?
  17. The only one I tried was NordVPN. After the issues I had with it, I was soured on them and haven't used one since.
  18. Every culture has their own, and I'm not specifically asking about anything cultural, but I would enjoy hearing about those also. But is anyone superstitious? Do you believe any urban legends? Do you think any cryptids are real? For superstitions, I don't think I am. It doesn't bother me to pass under a ladder, black cats crossing my path mean nothing, and toads won't give you warts. For urban legends and cryptids, I'm not sure. It all depends on the legend and creature itself. I can't say I disbelieve any. I do believe there are creatures and forces out there that we don't possess the ability to understand. And many of which we don't know of. I'm not specifically referring to Nessie and Bigfoot. Others as well. For example two stories that have fascinated me for years are the stories of La Llorona and The Big Grey Man. I'm pretty sure everyone is somewhat familiar with La Llorona, but also sure that next to no one (except @Shagger and @Crazycrab) are familiar with The Big Grey Man. They would know more about the story than I do since it's a Scottish legend. But what I know, in a nutshell, is that there's a mount in Scotland (Cairngorns?) that is called Ben MacDhui. Climbers who have attempted and failed, and those who have successfully summited it have all reported a sudden sense of dread and absolute terror while on the mountain. Many report being followed by something they couldn't see, and others reported some form of grey humanoid creature chasing them down the mountain. No one knows what or why is there, but from my understanding, those that have been up there have refused to go near the mountain again. La Llorona is more famous, especially since the movie came out. My understanding of the legend is that she was an Aztec widow with 3 small children. She met a wealthy man and fell in love with him and placed all her hopes of a better life for her and her children with him. He didn't want to be tied down with a widow and another mans kids. So he left her. She lost it and drowned her kids in the river. Rio Bravo to Mexico, Rio Grande to USA. Upon realizing what she had done she went insane and ran up and down the river searching for her kids. What happened next is lost in variations of the story, but either she committed suicide or when the villagers found out what she had done they threw her into the river. Either way, she suffered the same fate as her children. Now her wraith is seen gliding along waterways at night, and her scream is one of the most terrifying anyone can hear. My sister's father (not sister by blood) heard and saw her one night. He was never the same man after that. Apart of him was broken while another was lost. She tries to drag children into the water and drown them, or anyone unlucky enough to encounter her. She has gone from a mad woman, to ghost, to pure evil daemon. Parents use the story to this day in Mexico and the southern US to try tokeep their children away from being stupid or playing in places like rivers where they could get swept away. While she may be a deterrent, she's also deadly in more ways than one.
  19. If you use any wireless hardware like a printer, your VPN will block it and not let you print. You would most likely have to run a cable between the two. The only way I was able to get mine to print was to delete and uninstall the VPN. I had NordVPN and it blocked all of my wireless stuff, not just my printer. Simply shutting the program down wasn't good enough to allow me to print. I had to delete the program. So personally I advise against getting a VPN.
  20. The Libertine is and always will be my favorite. It's Johnny Depp's best performance ever. I'm obsessed with both him and Tim Burton (Burton wasn't involved with The Libertine) and can't get enough of them. What he put into this movie is more than I have ever seen from any actor, him included. I'll admit that it's one of those movies that's hard to watch and follow the first time you see it, but if you give it another shot it's more than worth it. I have virtually everything Johnny Depp has put out, including some of his more obscure stuff, and a hell of a lot of Tim Burton. There's only one Johnny Depp movie that I can't watch, and that's Platoon. I can't watch war or military movies in general, so despite owning several copies (different covers) I'll never see the movie.
