  2. Flying would be neat, but heights are one of my most severe phobias. Even 10' up is more than I can handle. So I would go for invisibility. You could be that "fly on the wall" and learn what people actually think of you among doing other things.
  3. I would travel for a year. I would get to see all the tings I ever wanted to see. I came into $31k a couple years ago, and my investments with it tanked. I lost a good bit of it. So I would much rather travel than have a tiny bit of money that won't last.
  4. Fuck the pictures. They're all memories that I would much rather forget and have wiped out completely.
  5. I have a brother and a sister, but they were 13 years older and 10 years older than me. So I grew up as an only child anyway. There was no love directed my way. Being an only child doesn't mean anything. Especially being loved.
  6. I have always tended to give them the silent treatment.
  7. If there's not at least at the bare minimum 10 pounds, then there's not enough.
  8. What is the age limit you're setting when you say "child"? That will definitely determine my answer.
  9. I've been terrified of water all my life. That's why I didn't join the Navy. But if I'm on land, and not in the water, but can see it, I'm fine. I don't mind laying on the beach and the surf washing over my feet, as long as the water isn't over a couple inches. But anything more than that, and I'll start panicking and have to be rescued.
  10. I've been barrel bottom poor all my life. Also I've always wanted to live in the Renaissance as opposed to today, so I would choose being rich and living 400 years ago as well.
  11. My relatives were all equally the most toxic people I have known. When you're the one person in the bloodline that everyone absolutely hates, they're all equally toxic.
  12. Radio transmissions do often get garbled, and sometimes cut out before the transmission finishes. So the pilot may very well have heard that he was clear to land, when the person speaking to them from ground control told them that they were, in fact, NOT clear to land. Typically airports have the best radio equipment second only to NASA and the government. But equipment does break down, and sometimes requires constant maintenance to make sure it's top notch. But people are often lazy as hell, and cut corners too.
  13. I've been through Chicago (O'hare) but never to Chicago. So I can't say anything for that mega metropolis. The biggest city I've ever been to is San Diego. But like I said, some consider Missouri part of the midwest, and others (me included) consider Missouri part of the south. Personally I don't think Missouri is far enough west to be midwest. We're further south than we are west. People tend to associate rednecks with the south, well trust me on this: we damn near have a monopoly on that.
  14. Friday The 13th (NES) used to make me jump when I played when I was about 8 or 9. But only when Jason would jump up out of nowhere and kill me. As for now, I specifically look for horror games for the newer stuff. I'm not a fan of Silent Hill or Resident Evil, as I find them boring as hell. I like the more psychological horror type stuff like Layers Of Fear.
  15. What does everyone think about prequels? For example, I've seen gameplay of RDR1 both online and firsthand while watching my girl play. Then I got into RDR2 after seeing her play that. But my wonder is would it have been better if they had been done in order? Like should RDR2 have been the first entry to the series and RDR1 come out after and pick up where RDR2 left off? Or is it better to have the prequel after the first entry? I just used Red Dead Redemption as an example as that's the one I'm most familiar with, yet this question is posed to all game prequels. To me personally, it doesn't really matter as long as the games are done well and they're enjoyable for their target audience. Granted, I've never seen anyone specifically complain about prequels. But it would be interesting to me to see a few thoughts on them. Also as a post script, don't even get me started on The Legend Of Zelda timeline, as I'm sure even Shigeru Miyamoto and Koji Kondo don't know how the hell THAT timeline works.
  16. Rain and fog are done extremely well in RDR2. They're a pain in the ass at times, but as real as, (sometimes moreso than) rain and fog IRL. Also the blizzard at the beginning was done extremely well too. Granted, I'm a classic gamer, so I don't have the biggest base for comparison, but the game is just extremely realistic in these regards.
  17. Klingon is so damn big and popular among Trekkies, that there is actually a Klingon dictionary and other books that you can buy to learn it and become fluent in it. I've never been into Star Trek myself, but I do find it odd that a fake language has garnered such a fan base. I could be wrong on this next one, but I think the same thing has been done with the language from Avatar. I don't remember exactly what the language was called.
  18. If it was about voting security they would increase the number of polling places. They would increase the number of hours to vote and divide it into shifts. If it was about voting security they would increase the hours on weekends. If it was about voting security they would allow water to be passed out to voters waiting in line. It has nothing to do with voter security. It is about voter control. They control the voters, they control the votes. Also the polling places that have been removed have all, coincidentally enough, been in blue/liberal/Democratic areas, whereas the ones in red/nazi/bigot/republiKKKlan areas haven't been affected.
  19. Bankruptcies - 4 Failed Marriages - 3 Trump University - Failed Trump Magazine - Failed gotrump.com - Failed Trump Airlines - Failed Trump Steak - Failed Trump Mortgage - Failed Trump Casino - Failed Taxes paid - 0.00% The numbers are horseshit to put it politely. The fact that he has avoided paying tax for so long and not been prosecuted yet tells me that he somehow has had the IRS in his pocket for the last several decades. As for releasing his tax returns, that is physically impossible. You can't release something that doesn't exist. He has no tax returns because he hasn't paid any taxes, which by this time is a multiple felony case. It's like releasing a crossbreed between Bigfoot and Nessie from the San Diego Zoo. It doesn't exist so it can't be released. There's a better chance of me shitting out his tax returns after eating the fecal matter left behind when the rodeo leaves town. For those not following that: I would be more likely to shit out his tax returns after eating all the bullshit left behind. Yet people thought a career conman with all those failures was the best choice to run this country. And they were right, they just didn't finish the thought. He was the right man to run this country............. into the ground.
  20. What state are you from? I've lived in Missouri (some say we're midwestern, others say we're southern take your pick) my entire life, and here we have always said "soda". No one calls it "pop", except people from the eastern states. Kansan, Illinois, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Tennessee, and Kentucky are the states that border us. I've been through all of them multiple times and spent quite a bit of time in them. Never once have I heard anyone buy a "pop". I did spend about 2 months living in Denver (it was hell), and people there called it "pop". So if that's where you're referring to, then no argument from me. But in Missouri and the 8 states that border us, I've never heard anyone want a "pop". They always wanted a "soda"/
  21. I want to hear both @Shagger and @Crazycrab weigh in on this one.
  22. Astronomy has always been a passion of mine. I absolutely love it. I have several seasons of The Universe on DVD and watch, and rewatch it constantly. I got a telescope last year that I'm still reading the instructions on, because I want to make sure I know everything REALLY well before I get it out, so that I don't screw it up. It was an $1800 telescope. And the powerpak to run it was another $200. The powerpak was an optional nonrequired thing. But when it's charged, I can run the telescope a lot longer. This is even powerful enough for me to see Andromeda and exoplanets as well. I'm dying to get it out, but need to feel comfortable knowing how to use it first. And with as dumb as I am, I may be wrinkled and gray before that happens.
