It depends on what you use your phone for though as my Note 20 Ultra serves as a very useful business tool for me and it'll serve me for a number of years 3-4 at that.

I used to own the Xperia Play and it was a cool device at the time with the slide out gaming pad that could pair with your Sony device as well to be a controller but it's currently kind of redundant because you get fully functional controls on the touchscreen. The market is more geared towards all-rounded devices that cater the average person and because gaming hybrid phones are such a niche product, it won't really appeal to most people. Gaming phones are a perfect example of this - most of them sell pretty poorly and start to perform very poorly after a year or so.

Should more games introduce a penalty for leaving early?
killamch89 replied to Alexander.'s topic in Gaming Forum
There's no point because a number of reasons can result in you leaving a gaming session early which includes your internet going down so I think it should be up to the player to decide. There's also the issue of you possibly having to go somewhere due to an emergency and then being penalized for that is unfair. Games should offer as much freedom as possible not take it away from the user. -
Series where you never played the oldest installments

Elder Scrolls is a good shout for me as well. I first got into the Elder Scrolls through Oblivion and I've only ever played Skyrim and Morrowind as well. I never really played the original Mech assault game but I did play the sequel. -
Personally, I've never really done it before. I used to rent games from Blockbuster back in the day but I've never encountered any libraries offer this service.

This one was just so unexpected :( -
Most heartbreaking moment in a video game?

When an AI is the closest thing to you since you were a child and you suddenly lose it, it can be very devastating. -
I liked this moment because Master Chief was thinking about more than himself here. He will defy the orders of his superiors if it goes against the greater good which is an admirable trait.

This is a very touching moment and character development for Master Chief

Rocket League and Skyrim SE

Have to agree here - they made no legitimate attempt at releasing a functional product. They even acquired a company with a working, fully functional version and haven't done anything with it at ALL! As a matter of fact, Google discontinued the product ( I can't quite remember the name of the company so you'll have to check it out).

I totally agree. There was also some new VR tech previewed at CES 2021 with a new VR headset with far more sensors and you'd where actual gloves instead of some goofy joystick so you could perform more actions in VR games. I'm not sure if that headset will come out around the release of this game but EA has really done a number on this game. The one drawback is the file size. If I remember correctly, it was something like 400GB upwards but maybe I'm understating because I remember complaining about it in another thread.

Is There A Platform You're Just Not Interested In?
killamch89 replied to The Blackangel's topic in Platforms
Well, the Xbox Game Pass is around now so you can play those games on your PC but then again it's a subscription. Personally, I had taken back my Xbox One from my cousin for a bit to play RDR2 when it first came out but other than that, I hardly ever played any Xbox games especially in recent years. I enjoyed exclusives such as Fable, Halo, Mech Assault and others on the original Xbox but Microsoft has failed to maintain most of their exclusives and they ended up going to waste. Yes, I know they're making a new Fable game but that isn't enough to convince me to get an Xbox Series X. -
I think the discussion was more along the lines of games that allow you to play competitively online against other players from other platforms without needing to create a new profile which Rocket League is one of the few examples we have.

I tend to agree for the most part that the Xbox isn't marketed as just a console and their primary focus seems to be all over the place. I mean the long-term moves Microsoft have been making are good with the acquisition of companies like Bethesda but I sincerely believe their short-term strategies are absolutely lacking.

What's one thing you'd change about each new/current gen console?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Platforms
I heard there's a new Nintendo Switch coming out with Bluetooth as well as a new 4k screen along with some new upgrades later this year so I'm looking forward to that. -
I don't know why we even need self driving cars. Honestly, they're a real threat to pedestrians and have put quite a bit of Tesla owners in trouble.
-
This is quite the rarity - Nintendo wouldn't give a damn quite honestly and Sony wouldn't either so I'll give them that. However, who's idea was it in the first place to hike the price by that much and I do agree that XBL is currently useless with Xbox Game Pass around.

Same thing crossed my mind. This is an absolute nope from me - they're not going to use me as a test subject for some bizarre scientific experiment. I love my brain just the way it is.

Cyberpunk 2077 Save Data Could Be Corrupted If File Size Is Too Large
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
This particular issue has been fixed since last month and if you're on PC, the game is going well for the most part other than occasional bug. With the last couple of patches, the game is performing a bit better although I've been on of the more fortunate ones to not really encounter that many bugs. -
Game endings you hate that other people love?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Honestly, that is the first Far Cry game I never enjoyed either. I just felt like it was trying to push some sort of an agenda. Fortnite is another game that I have grown to despise although I started out liking it. The pushing of political agendas really turned me off from the game. -
It's understandable with older folks because they never grew up with such advanced consoles or PCs and the stigma of gaming back in the days means it was looked down on as a childish hobby. My mother views it the same way but growing up she never stopped me from playing.
