In one of the PS5 patents leaked earlier this year if I am not mistaken they had some kind of emulation software capable of theoretically playing games as far back as the original PS.so they could have easily done if they wanted. What I suspect is what I mentioned before about profit margins in addition to some brand new accessories coming out for the PS5 that may not be compatible with most previous generation games.

I'm not sure what you meant but I was talking about the game completely flopping. "Tank" is a term that means to flop or fail very badly.

Especially Metal Gear 😭 Castlevania and Silent Hill... Gambling machines at casinos...

I'd also like to add the Hitman series, mainly the games from Blood Money back to the original Hitman. The AI is as dumb as rocks in the more recent Hitman games.

I wish EA would have more competition in the Sports Industry nowadays so they'd get back to making quality sports games again.

You do have a valid point there and yes, that is their goal and that's why you see China investing in all these companies.

I'll have to look this up but it sounds like something they'd do as well give their lack of any morals whatsoever.

It'd definitely fit into the battle-royale genre, that's for sure (I hope they don't go down that road though...)

I can't say that I'm surprised EA is this incompetent - I don't even think this is their worst screw-up of the year either.

Over time, those players would only buy one console and the older games would come at heavily discounted prices so they'd in fact be losing money whereas getting players to buy the newer games which cost like $50-60 dollars plus DLCs would mean more money for Sony. From a gamer's point of view it'd make sense to do it because you'd possibly get more users of previous consoles to transition but it isn't guaranteed that most of them would ever consider buying many of the newer titles.

It is why Chinese establishments are always investing in other countries - They can use that to crush any opposition/critique of their policies from other nations.

This sounds like a far better approach...I'm not sure why they haven't implemented something like this on Youtube or other video/content sharing platforms.

It depends on the game - in games like Skyrim and Fallout I always tend to play them in 3rd person but in FPS, I prefer the first person view.
