I agree with FF7, the new graphical polish and improved gameplay really won me over and although there were elements of the remake I never fancied all that much, it's till a better example of a remake done right. The Metroid Prime Remake on the Switch is also pretty awesome with the improved controls and graphical update.

Hey everyone - how's it going? The place has gotten a tad quiet - how's everybody been?

One of my dogs had ear hematoma and had surgery so I've had to be nursing him back to health - I had to be sticking him with needles to drain some of the fluid out of his ears everyday just so it doesn't swell up again. His ear is slightly deformed but at least he's okay now.

Still haven't checked it out - do you know anyone who still plays it or have they also moved on?

Same - I'm always fooling around and testing different theories in any given game. Hell, I even make up my own unique challenges. Speedruns are so pointless...

Would you like to see another Mortal Kombat Mythologies?

I agree about MK 11's story - another freaking time-travel/ reboot. What's the point of the series if all the consequences can be undone. I'd have liked some of the main cast to stay dead just to create a lot of tension throughout MK 11. But no, instead we got a big reset button...again! -
Your tone about the game sure has changed since playing it. I started playing it the other day and other than a few performance issues here and there, it's pretty solid. Personally, I've never liked Harry Potter and it has nothing to do with the creator, the world itself never quite appealed to me like the Witcher if I was to compare a medieval fantasy game based on book series.

It's Doctor Eggman - he's the culprit by direct or indirect association. None of the other known characters in his team or Shadow would betray him like that. Not unless they were brainwashed by Doctor Eggman.

Why hasn't there been a new Deadpool video game?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
Deadpool fights everyone and makes hilarious jokes while doing it. The issue is how complex Deadpool's motives are - he's ridiculously unpredictable so making a game based on Deadpool would a lot of work especially if they want it to be good. -
Do you feel Apex Legends could be a game that dies soon?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
EA doesn't like having to put actual effort into maintaining any of their games and especially when it's not profitable for them. They'll just let it die - a slow painful death... -
Running Minecraft on a chromebook? You'd need an extremely light version for that - you know this question almost sounded like when someone tried to run Crysis on a regular computer without a gpu a decade ago and then wondering what can be done to make it work. You're asking for a miracle lol.

Which game can you go back to over and over again and not get tired of?

Even though I no longer play Pokemon, I always loved Gen 1 Pokemon - they had some of the coolest designs. I swear that some of the Pokemon I've seen in more recent series look like a 4 year old with loads of paint, markers and crayons designed them. -
It's a pretty awesome game - I got it at the end of last month and it's still terrifying as I remember. Ammo is still scarce in some areas and overall, it's a great trip down memory lane for me.

I'm curious as to why it's only gaming companies they're going after? I think the only reason they're doing this is because most gaming companies don't have the funding to keep going back and forth with monster in court as that would likely be in the hundreds of millions of dollars. What are your thoughts on this whole fiasco?

So to add some context, Rocksteady had announced this game on YouTube a few months back and the trailer was massively criticized to say the least. I had caught a small part of the original livesteam but it was being torn a new one in the comment section and was massive downvoted and rightfully so. It's a looter shooter with microtransactions and battle passes - pretty original? right? So because of the uproar from that whole livestream as well as on social media, they've decided to go back to the drawing board. I still don't hold much hope for this game but I hope they prove me wrong.

This has to be the most hilarious thing I've seen all year although to be fair, it was in development for PS before Microsoft acquired Bethesda. However, this is pathetic but then again, it is Bethesda so I'm not that surprised. Microsoft needs to intervene because Bethesda's track record when it comes to supporting their games without their modding community is abysmal. What do you make of this hilarious discovery?

Call me not surprised - Square Enix has been releasing stinkers non-stop for the past few years and this is their latest crapfest. Honestly, they're going to be in the Konami category for me before too long as those formerly great gaming companies who can't release a half decent game if their life depended on it. Did anyone here even know about this game andi f you did it, have you actually played it? Share your thoughts down below...

I'm not going to lie, this is the most messed up thing I've seen in the past few days. A simple cease and desist couldn't do? Nope -Nintendo just ruined this man's life. He's been selling hacked Nintendo Switch consoles which is against their terms of service but the punishment is quite excessive. I'm not even surprised Nintendo went this far.

I didn't think it was hollow, I just was lamenting that it should be easier to get rewards in most games now since modern games are far more lenient than older games.
-
I know - it was an absolutely slimy move by Capcom and they should rightfully be bashed for it but the backlash I've heard is so timid. It seems like a great game otherwise and I expected as much given how well RE2 and RE3 remakes were. I've seen Activision pull this same kind of crap with COD over the past few years and their fanboys are extremely quiet.

The thing that concerns me is that they seem to be using the same game engine they had in Fallout 4 or at least, a slightly updated version of it by the looks of it. I just hope it isn't anywhere as buggy.
-
I'm both excited and filled with dread as Konami could screw this up if their record over the past 5 years is anything to go by. I hope it's not as buggy as the GTA Trilogy Edition by Rockstar. I can't wrap my mind around how companies can screw up a remaster - all you have to do is update the graphics, add a few new features with some planned DLCs and it'll be a huge success.
