  1. If I remember correctly, it was one their former E3 team members that founded Summer Game Fest. Ubisoft has been rumored to be present at Summer Game Fest.
  2. In the case of E3, it was already on its way out but the pandemic definitely sped up its demise. Even before the pandemic, there were talks of major gaming companies looking to move away from E3.
  3. I agree - videogames are very nice hobby but too much of anything is never good. There has to be some kind of balance in everything you do. Heck, drinking too much water without excreting any can kill you.
  4. If anything, we've seen a lot of way more brutal games come out in the last 3 years and they were never banned and nobody ever mentions them so that's why I'm so baffled by the Manhunt ban.
  5. Same - I had a lot Playstation and other gaming magazines back in the day and I just got rid of all of them for whatever reason. I used to love the cheat codes they had in most of them.
  6. We're seeing all kinds of collaborative projects between companies who are in very different industries. Fortnite is the prime example - I'm surprised that Fortnite hasn't made a Skittles event. To be fair, I've seen way worse in recent years. I totally agree that this is a bizarre collaboration and still can't make much sense of it but in today's environment, it's not as bizarre as say Cheetos Flaming Hot Ice Cream (it's actually real).
  7. I forgot about that one - a currently inactive member used to play it all the time and I decided to try it out and...I pretty much was so fed up, I haven't played it since. 🤣
  8. It definitely does help sharpen your memory skills although you'll probably see the most noticeable improvement in people who play games that require you to use some brainpower to solve puzzles/challenges.
  9. Yep and I'm honestly glad because E3 strayed away from a gamer-oriented conference to a gaming release trailer festival with little to no gameplay on most of the announced games. Plus I heard there's another conference which was created by a former member of the E3 team so that puts the nail in the coffin when it comes to E3.
  10. Who knows? Maybe they have their own version of videogames that is way more advanced than what we currently use. They'd probably laugh at us for using "primitive technology" if anything.
  11. The decision makers in most videogame companies seem to lack the basic ability to "read the room" and it always ends up destroying many promising projects. I love Megaman games and I'd honestly like it if Capcom made another one.
  12. For the life of me, I still can't remember why Manhunt was even banned in the first place when Mortal Kombat and a few other games with similar levels of violence was around. Like, what was this supposed to accomplish?
  13. Cool has quite a few different meanings in different context. One character who I'd refer to as cool is Dante from DMC - he hardly ever gets worked up and when fighting, instead of stressing out, he's usually having the time of his life.
  14. Square Enix has been poor in terms of game releases for the past decade, I think I can name 2 or 3 games that were good but the rest have all been massive disappointments and I agree with you about FF XV. I was also not a huge fan of the changes they made to most of the summons. Bahamut in particular was always a dragon so I couldn't understand why they turned him into some Dragon Swordsman. Like wth?
  15. If it's for the nostalgia effect, I understand not wanting to modify a Retro console but I don't have much of a gripe with someone wanting to mod their Retro console. I can't tell them what to do with it and if that's what makes it more enjoyable for them, I say go for it.
  16. Same - As a matter of fact, the developers have stopped supporting quite a few of those games years ago.
  17. Whenever, I bought used consoles, it was usually from close friends/ people who I knew good enough and could somewhat trust them.
  18. Nope - not really. I love gaming a lot but I also knew that I couldn't just disregard my responsibilities in real life. I do know of a few people who had to get professional help because their addiction to gaming was ruining their lives.
  19. Bison from Street Fighter II is definitely one I can relate to as he does so much damage and his fighting style was highly unpredictable. You had to be totally focused throughout as one mistake is all it took for him to beat you.
  20. Fifa - When I used to play it, the amount of unfair advantages the CPU would get absolutely infuriated me. Like seriously, you can see how rage-inducing playing Fifa against the CPU can make you.
  21. Mods literally turn Skyrim into anything you want it to be. There's a mod for almost any kind of fantasy genre you can think of. Some of these Modders are absolutely mental with what they're able to come up with. Modding communities are an essential part of any gaming community.
  22. Haven't even checked it out and that's because I'm not remotely interested in mobile gaming. It's such a freaking cesspool that I'm turned off the moment I hear about "free-to-play mobile game".
  23. Totally agree - However, I do hope that they truly address the game-breaking bugs before release. Otherwise, delaying the game for nearly 2 years would be pointless.
  24. Yep, I've been seeing a lot of complaints on Twitter and lots of videos about this as well. Yongyea even did one about a week ago - To be perfectly honest, they deserved this. Instead of making more DLC content for the second installment of the 2nd LOU game, they wanted to be greedy and remake the original game to cash in on the franchise's surging popularity since the TV show. Seriously, what's with companies giving us such half-assed remakes that utterly destroy the legacy of the original game. First it was Rockstar and now Naughty Dogs/Sony. As a matter of fact, I'm more inclined to blame Sony because they're the ones who were probably pushing this in the first place...
  25. Could have seen this coming from a mile away, E3 in recent years has been particularly underwhelming and I'm so glad that it's being shelved in its current state indefinitely. It's just turned into the gaming version of a movie festival with all these freaking trailers with little to no actual gameplay.
