Is there anything you want to change about games in general?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'd like the gaming industry to drop these microtransaction systems in games and hiding every other popular item behind a paywall - it's so scummy that I don't even like talking about it. The most horrid practice to gain traction in the gaming industry. On top of that, releasing unfinished games and selling them for full price - that's another disgusting practice. -
What gaming topic do you wish you knew more about?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
This is a tough one because I at least have basic knowledge of almost everything when in comes to games. I'd say I wish I knew how I could piss off hackers and modders but getting them banned doesn't do enough for me. I want them to get a taste of their own medicine but I can't be bothered to learn hacking or modding of games because this goes against my fair play ethics. -
Reasons I usually don’t play “evil” characters
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Not really - it depends on the character really. I usually go by what they believe in or how they usually handle situations and what they're trying to achieve. Sometimes, I'll slaughter almost anything that moves in a game - even my own comrades because the character is portrayed as a nutcase or unhinged individual. -
I don't mind it as long as it's not overdone or feels inorganic within the context of the game's mechanics. I'm not sure what they could possibly hope to achieve from removing it from games. It won't protect kids at all - as a matter of fact, it'll make kids believe that there's no consequences when certain things happen like cutting off your arm for instance.

For me personally, it's a bit weird. I have a drill sergeant and it happens to be my spirit animal - the Phoenix. If I start to slack off at something, every time I close my eyes, there's a huge flaming bird roaring at me and suddenly, I'm all fired up - I no longer care if I win, lose or end up anywhere else but I'm going to give it my all. How do you motivate yourself?

In today's episode of being controversial, I shall ask one of the most controversial question to ever exist - which is your favorite - cats or dogs? Throughout my lifetime, I've grown up with dogs for most of it so I do have slight bias towards dogs. However, cats are also awesome animals and express themselves in their own way. Dogs are by far more expressive in terms of how they feel about you. You immediately can tell just by how they react to you - the wagging tails, the "smile on their face" etc. Cats are a bit more reserved in this department and cats have the tendency of choosing their owners lol. For instance, I have a stray cat that uses my yard as a pregnancy ward - she even knocks on my window for food. Overall, I'd say both for me because their pretty awesome in their own way. What are your thoughts about this?

My spirit animal is a Phoenix - the reason being is that just like a Phoenix I have an immortal spirit that makes me come back even stronger from each setback. It also represent freedom to live as you please. From as long as I can remember, the Phoenix has always been apart of my life. What's your spirit animal?

I have one and in the morning, the first thing I do is meditate for about 10 minutes, then write in my daily journal, go have breakfast, depending on the day, I get some exercise, hygiene and then I go look after my dogs. This has been my ritual for close to a decade. What is your morning ritual?

Okay, first of all, I know Kanye West is pretty creative person in terms of his music and fashion and even his performances. I have to wonder, what is it with his shoe designs?! This new one looks like it'll be called the Jerusalem 7s or the Walking Dead 3s. No seriously, what are these? lol

If I had to pick a video game character, I'm definitely going with Soma Cruz from the Castlevania Series. The reason being, he has Dracula's ability which allows him to gain the abilities of the monsters he has killed and we're talking an extensive list of powers. From invulnerability to insane damage boosts, he has it all. Let us know down below who would be your pick and why.

I for one, can say that I've had to do this with Alien Isolation - I literally have to stop at certain points in the game just to recuperate. If I feel anything remotely rub against me, I quickly turn on the lights 🤣. RE 7 is also in this category - as a matter of fact, I'd say in some ways it's even worse. The limited ammo and health packs makes the game even scarier because you have to be smart about how you engage the Parkers. I'd like to hear about your experiences as well so post them down below.

I tend to be pretty bad at Battle Royale games and it primarily has to do with the fact that I just stop caring after a few minutes. Honestly, I wouldn't even say I'm bad at them, I can win most games if I try I just find that genre of games boring. What kind of games are you terrible at?

My favorite Supers Smash Bros fighter is always captain Falcon and it's because of one thing - Falcon Punch! Trust me! when it connects, you immediately look away from the screen because 9 times out of 10, no other character is surviving that especially if their damage has passed 50%. Throughout the main Super Smash games, I've mastered the art of landing Falcon Punches but I don't spam it because that would make me predictable. What's your favorite Smash fighter and why?

My current record is 16 hours straight on GTA San Andreas as a teen. I've never been able to break that record or even come close to it because of adulting lol. What's the longest non-stop gaming session you've ever had?

As a kid, I never really had any because I always had people around me. However, I knew of a friend who had an imaginary friend named Trent - At the time, I found it a bit bizarre but my friend eventually outgrew him. When we were going to high school, he even held a funeral in the woods for him lol ( it was hilarious, I'm not going to lie).

I've always wanted some kind of underground home or a bunker to get away from the world. If money wasn't an issue, would you purchase an underground home or bunker?

My most bizarre encounter with an animal I can remember was when I was a kid about 8 years old and my dog lucky died at the time. When we were burying her out in the woods, I was crying my eyes out and I remember a pigeon nearby landing on my shoulder and rubbing its head against my neck to comfort me. It stayed there for some time until I stopped crying it just flew away. I was too sad at the time to even realize what had just happened but looking back I was thankful for such an experience. I'd like to hear about your encounters as well so share them below.

One day when I was a teen, I was so hungry but there was no food in the house except some peanut butter, cheese and bread and I ended up making a sandwich out of all 3. I remember telling myself that it didn't taste so bad and from what I can recall, it wasn't. What bizarre food combinations have you ever tried?

My mind comes up with so many random thoughts that can be so deep yet a bit odd at times and this is the latest one. Personally, I'd be the curious goat that probably would end trapped on a lightwire (this has actually happened in real life before) or on top of the barn. What about you, which farm animal would you be and why?

Next Squall and Rinoa, they're my favorite from the Final Fantasy Series both as a couple and as individual characters. They really complement each other very well and they had a lot of chemistry which felt very organic instead of forced like in some games.

This video from the Hardware Unboxed Channel shows the differences between the different Intel B560 boards and it amazes me that they're based on the same reference build but the differences between them in certain areas in unbelievable. You can want the video down below: What are your thoughts about this?

If I remember correctly, Intel tried to make GPUs in the early 2000s. The name of these GPUs is the Intel Artic Sound series and they're discrete GPUs. Here's an article about the Artic sound 1T and 2T. I'd like to here your opinion about these GPUs. Do you think in a few years they could give AMD and Nvidia competition in the budget class with their GPU offerings? The RTX 3080 TI is set to come with 12 GB of GDDR6 RAM while the RTX 3070 TI will come with 8GB RAM. I must say that I'm disappointed in both offerings and if they're priced very expensively, the RX 6800 would be a much better option than these two. What are your thoughts about this?
