  1. Due to financial limitations, practical reasons and not to mention lockdown, it's been a while.
  2. The underwater sections in AC: Black Flag are a really good shout. Challenging, diverse and worth doing as the unlock the best ship upgrades. I don't thinks it's an obvious or boring choice at all, on the contrary if anything I think they're underrated and seldom talked about. If anything I'd say don't get the appreciation they deserve.
  3. Oasis? God no! Metal, especially melodic metal, is my jam; Sabaton Amaranthe Lovebites Nightwish Alestorm Beast in Black Rammstein Within Temptation Powerwolf Iron Maiden In Flames Arch Enemy Gloryhammer Dragonforce Metallica Bloodbound Korpiklaani ... that sort of thing.
  4. OK, I finally found a solution to this problem indigenous to Tales of Arise. I got the inspiration from somebody who suggested fix involving setting up the controller. It didn't work, but he/she mentioned that steam reads a wired Xbox controller and a wireless on differently. I don't understand that applies to a third party wireless controller with a dongle that you have to plug in anyway, but whatever. Knowing this, I tried disabling the Xbox controller profile in the general controller settings leaving only the Generic gamepad profile active (Which prompted my computer to restart for some reason), opened steam, opened the controller setting again, unplugged then plugged the controller dongle that made it work. Hopefully nobody else will have to go through this maze hell I've been through.
  5. Tough one because I think any vide game would get crap sooner or later if you keep playing it. I'd probably say Skyrim as mods can keep that game fresh and fun for a long time. A plane. I'd figure out how to fly it sooner or later. The views. I live with the scenery daily, but to actually stop and look at it, this country has it's reputation for a reason. Of course! Worn a kilt at weddings and such. I've also worn a kilt a Nightwish gig in London. It was great fun because I had to past people to get back to whare I was in the cue and girls kept trying to look up my kilt to see if I had gone "True Scotsman" (commando). And much to their horror, I did 😁. CEO. They get payed a fortune to be assholes and fuck-ups, who doesn't want that for a job? You have got to visit Edinburgh. There are other cites popular with tourists, but Edinburgh feels different and it is gorgeous.
  6. You can't edit it, to much time has passed. So tell me, is the game you talking about Elden Ring, yes or no?
  7. He's talking about Eden Ring, not Elden Ring. You have accidentally brought up a pint here as I don't think the Developers of Eden Ring choose such a dangerously similar name by accident, this was likely a deliberate attemp to leach of a major games inneviable popularity. EDIT: Now I look it up, I can't actually find Eden Ring. @Lens, can you please clarify what game you are referring to here?
  8. As this is a review/opinion piece about a specific game, I'm moving the topic to the video games sub-forum. It's not a "Gaming News" topic. I would honestly expect no better from a mobile game anyway, so I can't say I'm exactly shocked by this.
  9. Anyway, may as well get back on topic now. Like others such as @Yaramaki, @kingpotato and @Reality vs Adventure have said, I'm not really big into multiplayer anymore. I enjoy a compelling story as a empowering yet relatable character more than I do playing multiplayer. Multiplayer is always a nice option, but if that's all the game rally has to offer than as soon as people move on from it, the game is worthless. Without a story mode, a game will just fizzle out and not leave a lasting impact.
  10. I remembered this rather amusing scene from Gravity Rush 2. Here is a little insight on what is going on here. Our main protagonist Kat has sneaked onto an enemy base, but unfortunately gets caught. However she is not caught by the soldiers, but by the producers of a stage show production being put on for the soldiers. Then, well...
  11. Don't take that tone with @Dannyjax, it's not his fault you messed that up. And worse, you messed that up about an hour after I gave you a telling off for something very similar on anther thread. So I would suggest instead of talking back to him, you actually take his advice, the same advice I have given you time and time again, and actually read the threads carefully, make sure you know what you are talking about before even thinking about making a reply. He's 100% correct that if you don't have anything new to add or if you don't have full understanding of what's going on in the discussion, then it's better to not post at all until you do. Just because it's not coming from a moderator, doesn't mean it's not good advice. This lack of aptitude form you is generating a lot of frustration amongst the community and I believe it keeps happening because you let you fingers move before your brain. If you just thought "Do I need to post this" and read threads with a bit more care and patience, I genuinely believe this wouldn't happen. But you know this because I've told you several times. However, even my patience has a limit and it is getting very close to that limit. I know you can do better than this, but now it's time to convince everyone else. Please.
  12. I do agree that it's unlikely a game publisher would have grounds nor would they bother suing cheaters, but cheating in games can definitely have a detrimental effect on a game's revenue, especially these days. Legitimate players, and they would make up the vast majority of players, wouldn't want to keep playing the game and thus wouldn't buy battle passes, microtransactions and all that other live service garbage. Then there's the reputation hit that could affect affect the success of future releases. So yes, cheating can affect a revenue quite badly.
  13. I don't know if they like or not, but they don't do anything about it. It's 100% legal and you pay the subscription all the same.
  14. A VPN can to used to set your browser to be recognized from a different country as the one you actually reside in, thus unlocking content normally locked in one region and open it to another. For instance, using a VPN someone in America can watch Netflix content that should only available be people logged in within the UK and vice versa.
  15. OK, I stand corrected on Rampage. Thinks for the insight.
  16. No @Justin11, it's no good just "liking" my post then moving on, I'm actually looking for an answer from you; Any answer will do, don't be shy.
  17. Since when were Welcome to the Jungle, and Rampage, (Jumanji) The Next Level based of video games? I know that in the Jumanji movies he's in the story goes that they enter the worls of Jumanji as if it were a video game, but they are not actually based on a video game that exists in real life. Doom is the only one you listed that is actually based on a real life video game, and to the best of my knowledge, that's the only time he has been in one.
  18. @Justin11 and @kingpotato First off, chill. I don't play and have never played Fortnite, but all the research I have gathered has guided me to believe that Fortnite is NOT pay-to-win. There are skins just due to the colour palate bend into certain environments and backgrounds better than others, a few examples in this video here; There is also some belief among players that some skins have an effect on the players hitbox and thus can possibly pose an advantage depending on the skin. However, there is is no way to boost stats, buy better weapons, upgrade equipment, buy better spawns or buy into a match after it has started or anything that deliberately and fundamentally affects gameplay that can be bought. As far as I can tell, it's all cosmetic stuff such as skins for gliders, vehicles, weapons and the player's avatar itself as well as expressive cosmetics such as emotes. Every player on Fortnite has the same stats regardless of the amount of hours they have played. Just because a game has encouraged a large amount of spending on in-game purchases, does not make it pay-to-win. Pay-to-win is when you can spend money to gain a tactical and/or practical advantage over a player with a similar level of experience who doesn't pay. Fortnite does not do that. A more experienced and better practiced player will naturally have an advantage over a rookie like anything else, but you can't pay for any form of gameplay advantage. I started typing this out before you actually made these two replies and what I was going to ask you to do @Justin11 is explain why you consider Fortnite a pay-to-win experience. Having seen these two replies, I'm honestly sill a little unsure as to why you believe this to be the case. So, other than the debateable skins that might serve as camouflage or may affect hit boxes, is there anything else that you believe can be bought that offers an advantage? Is so, what item or items offer an advantage and in what way do they offer an advantage?
  19. The first volume of season 4 is up now. Looks like I have my evening all planned out! 😁
  20. This reply is directly at @Justin11, but I want anyone who sees this to read it and read it carefully. Here's the thing @Justin11. You don't bother to take the time to adequately read a post then without thinking it through you make a reply. The reply is clearly made with inadequate understanding of the post you are replying to and/or a lack of understanding of the facts and the subject matter of the thread itself. Then you say "my bad" and apologise. Then comes the part that genuinely pisses me off, you never learn form this when it happens and sooner or later you do exact same thing again. Why does this keep happening? Why is it despite making this mistake time after time, you keep doing it? Well, I'll tell you why, it's because you don't care. You don't care to put in the effort it takes to avoid making this mistake again, because reading and replying to posts with consistent accuracy on a forum does take effort. It takes reading a post carefully and making sure you understand it (Especially important if English isn't your first language.) then taking just as much care to crafting a reply that is worth making. But for you, getting this wrong is inevitable no matter how many times you "apologize" for it And cherry on top of this shit cake is that in this thread, you are STILL getting it wrong! There's not one point in this entire thread @The Blackangel even mentioned the SNES or The Switch. Look again at her first post; She even said in that post that that was only a potion of her NES games, another thing that needed repeated for your sake because you clearly didn't read it properly. We know you're not doing this maliciously, but there has to come a point where you're not doing it by accident either. People who post on this forum, moderator or not, at the very least deserve to have people who read thier posts actually read them and understand them, especially if the one reading the post intends to reply. I really should not have to explain this to anyone because it's basic forum etiquette as well as common sense. It is so frustrating dealing with someone not understanding and replying to your clearly written, easy to understand posts because they can't be bothered to take the time to read them properly. I'd even call it infuriating. It would actually be better to ignore other people's posts completely than keep doing this. Now, I really don't know where to go with you and the others who consistently do this sort of thing. Another thing I feel like I've said a million times, we understand that English is not the first language for a lot of our members, and if people do struggle with English we are here to help anyone needs help, but it's also true that it's each members responsibility to take the time they need to both read and write posts accurately. However, I tend to find that in most of these instances people tend to leave little time between posts, suggesting they are doing this in a rush. If you keep doing this, we will have to take more affirmative action. We don't want your apologies @Justin11, we want to to learn from these instances.
  21. One might have to "VPN" it, because I can't find it on my Netflix.
  22. That's a popular point of view on VGR and for good reasons. I love Burnout (apart from the travesty that was Burnout Paradise) and Burnou3 especially being right up there. There's a topic on the franchise to be found here if you're interested.
  23. Epic have really been treating us. First Borderlands 3 now the Bioshock Collection.
