StaceyPowers
How long do you think the microchip shortage will go on (and the subsequent shortage of consoles)?
Patrik
I don't think that there is an answer for that, as we can't know when the pandemic will disappear (mutations everywhere, people refusing to vaccine etc...)
killamch89
Another two to three years minimum or at least until we can do something about the scalpers and the Crypto miners. It will probably be 5 years before we see any semblance of normalcy.

m76
As long as lawmakers don't crack down on cryptocurrencies and scalping.
Empire
I hear that many people have to wait till late 2022 to get there new GPU, meaning they already orderd and they are in the waiting game. Not just chips that they are short on. As soon as they make and send they get brought out so fast by ryptocurrencies and scalping and it's so unfar. Worse they allow it. So I don't expect everyone to be on board, but if the biggest first world economic powers acted against it, it would be pushed into insignificance. It's definitely going to depend on the companies that are making those chips and with pandemic hindering a lot of things, we definitely won't know.
