Do you think most games will go free to play in the future?

This guys are simply into playing money league, I wonder who is topping in their league of money chasing. Do you know who is topping the chart? Because they aren't thinking about game overall performance improvement, it's just about their own steady profit.

Seriously, it's not something that's going to be possible now from the looks of all things that's happening now in the game industry.

Which particular game companies would start it out? Is it gonna be EA or Ubisoft or Activision or Santa Monica Studio? These guys can't do without money.

Look at epic games. Fortnite alone proves a game can be successful as free to play, as long as they promote a battlepass and other micro transactions.

EA already does it with Apex Legends. Activision does it with COD Warzobe, which is also free to play.

Those big time studios are the ones that could easily handle free to play. Look at GTA Online. Yeah sure you gotta buy the base game, but they could easily make GTA online free to play, because they know fans would buy up shark cards and other micro transactions.

Free to play doesn't mean it's 100% free either. It's free to usually start, but they entice you to buy character skins, weapons and other items.

It's where you get to witness their use of microtransactions first hand because it's the only way they can get money off the game.

If you are allowed to start the play for free and you still end up with paying more what you are even supposed to pay for the game through lots of microtransactions, it's definitely not a free game in my opinion.

Very soon, the free downloaded Android games will be set on F2P completely, and micro-transactions will circulate all round gaming. Everyone is simply for the money. I wouldn't expect video games to become free anytime soon.

Yeah, there is no way it's going to be completely free. No company goes into business without thinking of making money and profit!!

Even in free town, everything isn't free, so it's basically the same thing with video games being proposed to be completely free.

Exactly, they are meant to get money from the games one way or another and it's something that's been that way over the years now.

I think in the general view of video games in 2021, it wasn't a good year in terms of new features to gaming. All the new changes brought mixed feelings and none favoured gamers.

Correct. Even those who are into mobile gaming, aren't building those games for free, that's why they have many options to make money from their mobile game app.

Yeah, there are so many free to download games on mobile phones but when you start playing, the microtransactions will tell you they aren't really that free.

Seriously, it's what we have seen happening a lot and it's been a pattern for them which is going to be very difficult for them to drop it.

Making money from games is a constant for these game companies and it's very understandable that it's how they work for their survival.
