Do you keep your ps4 in rest mode or turn it off?

I was wondering if always turning the ps4 off after use damages anything over time. If you keep it rest mode, how long? Forever?

Playstation support says it's not good to turn off and on all the time.

I always keep mine in test mode since it installs game updates, and gets everything ready for me even if I don’t play it for weeks.

I do keep my PS off so as to allow it to restarted a long time of working and playing. I'm concern about the durability of the gadget.

I always turn mine off after usage, because I feel that leaving it on might affect it in the long run.

I turn mine off if I won't be using it for awhile, if I do plan to get back to it soon, I'll put it in rest mode.

Exactly, it's actually why I never switch off mine as long as I know that I'm not done playing for the day.

When I don't want to face the issues of hassle, I can simply keep it at the sleep mode, so, I can simply ON my TV and start from where I stopped.

If I have a game that would played sooner after my last game, then switching it off wouldn't be necessary.

I switch mine off.. I only use rest mode if I'm waiting for an update.

Especially since after a gaming session, I'm never quite sure just how soon I'm likely to get another session in.

Switching it off at this time is the best in order to keep it off from heating up. When I am around to play I simply open and have some fun time playing it.
