Mass Effect
iaminsensible and one other reacted to Alyxx for a topic
Having played all of them I think they are some of the best space opera action-adventure games ever made. Really good story although the ending of Mass Effect 3 is pretty weak. But definitely worth playing through.2 points -
What video game character would you be?
DC reacted to StaceyPowers for a topic
"This topic is inspired by @killamch89 , who asked me, "If you could be any character in Skyrim, who would you be and why?" Expanding on that, if you had to be any one character in any video game you have played, who would you be and why? Some possible answers for me: 1-Aerin in Skyrim, so I could have Mjoll as my best friend. Finding a BFF like that in real life isn't easy. 2-Leliana in Dragon Age, because she learned how to become comfortable with who she is after suppressing herself for a long time.1 point -
Most compelling relationships in video games
Alyxx reacted to killamch89 for a topic
For me, it has to go to Trevor, Michael and Franklin from GTA V. They all came from very different backgrounds with drastic differences in personality and yet, they interact so well with each other.1 point -
The Eternal Castle (Remastered)
Alyxx reacted to killamch89 for a topic
You're welcome. I am not afraid to give compliments when the work done has a lot of quality. To be honest, it is way better than something like IGN would produce - all they would do is moan about the graphics and how that era of gaming has passed and they would be trying to compare it modern games -_-.1 point -
Mass Effect
iaminsensible reacted to killamch89 for a topic
Yeah, the starting of Mass Effect one nearly put me to sleep but it was a great series. It's a pity that EA got their grubby little paws on it because they have managed to kill what was a once amazing experience.1 point -

Brilliant and detailed review as usual Alyxx. I like how you don't overlook even the tiniest detail in your reviews so we the reader cannot question the transparency of your work.👍1 point -
Atmospheric sounds in video games
iaminsensible reacted to killamch89 for a topic
Far Cry does a very good job with atmospheric sounds. For instance, in Far Cry primal, the sounds of the various animals and insects such as crickets in the jungle really gave you a feeling of being out in the wild.1 point -
Debate: Underage gaming
Alyxx reacted to killamch89 for a topic
My sentiments exactly. If the video game is the one doing the parenting, there is something seriously lacking in the parenting skills of said parent.1 point -
Debate: Underage gaming

I'm neutral. I believe it is up to the parents, but I would put more focus on being a good parent than what games your child plays.1 point -
What video game character would you be?
StaceyPowers reacted to killamch89 for a topic
This is a tough one but I would go with Solid Snake just because despite having the supposedly "inferior" genetics of Big Boss, he has a lot of heart and determination and he is also a certified badass. I mean who the hell goes to war with a walking nuclear weapon with only a rocket launcher and lives to tell the tale?1 point -
Debate: Underage gaming
killamch89 reacted to DarthHazard for a topic
I don't see any problem with it, to be honest. When I was around 6 or 7, I played Grand Theft Auto Vice City for the first time ever and I loved it. I didn't even care about certain aspects of the game, for me, it was great because it was the first open world and driving game that I experienced and had a chance at playing. It didn't mess me up and I don't think any games affect anyone really. It's all up to the individual.1 point -
Most compelling relationships in video games
DC reacted to DarthHazard for a topic
It would have to be Arthur and Sadie from Red Dead Redemption 2. The developers did say that they removed a sizeable amount from singleplayer and I believe that it was a love interest story for Arthur. So it would have been nice to see what would have happened between Arthur and Sadie later on. Even without the romantic relationship, they had such a good dynamic. They understood each other and after meeting each other, they ended up being quite similar to each other which was great to see.1 point -
You are given $100,000 to make a video game. What will you make?
killamch89 reacted to DarthHazard for a topic
That is a pretty dirty and dishonest tactic and it's a short-term plan really. It will never work in the long run and will only cost you more money, in my opinion. You can use the same example of No Man's Sky for this. They got a lot of pre-orders and sales for the game but the moment people realised the game was awful, they didn't want it and returned it. I believe Steam actually started accepting mass returns for the game based on "false promises".1 point -
Mass Effect
StaceyPowers reacted to iaminsensible for a topic
I agree with Alyxx. All Mass Effect were fantastic but the ending of the MEA3. Though, I must say that I didn't really like the start of the first one as well... I wouldn't recommend it over games such as Witcher 3 or Skyrim but it is definitely worth a shot.1 point -
Atmospheric sounds in video games
StaceyPowers reacted to iaminsensible for a topic
I feel that The Forest has done a great job at scaring you by just using sounds. A quick description of the game: Your plane crashed on an island that seems to be filled with cannibalistic mutants. There are the cannibals (Common) and the creepy mutants (Rare). In this game, the purpose is to find your son, Timmy, who was abducted by one of the cannibals minutes after the plane crashed. It is one of the best survival horror games I have ever played, and the sounds during the morning, night and during cave expeditions are fantastic.1 point -

Samus Aran. She rolls up into a ball, got an ultra cool space suit, got an energy cannon for an arm, what's not to love.1 point -
What video game character would you be?
StaceyPowers reacted to Alyxx for a topic
1. Classic Lara Croft - For obvious reasons, she's always been someone I love playing as. 2. Lilith (Borderlands) - Having the ability to temporarily enter a parallel dimension is pretty sweet. 3. Akuma (Syndicate 2012) - Simply enjoyed her personality and the fact she's dualwielding SMG's in her promotional artwork (which she sadly can never do in the game). Also love her design. 4. Jane Shepard (Mass Effect) - Cause I think she's cooler than John, and Shepard is pretty awesome. 5. Alyx (Half-Life 2) - No big surprise as she is the inspiration for my nickname. Always loved her personality. 6. Elexis Sinclaire (SiN/SiN Episodes) - Sure she's an evil scientist, but man. I'd kill to have that body and have the intelligence to match. 7. Sniper Wolf (Metal Gear Solid) - 1. Cause I tend to play snipers and 2. cause wolves. 8. Krystal (Star Fox Adventures) - Just a shame she's not in most of the game lol 9. Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison (Bombshell/Ion Maiden) - Just love her kickass personality and the fact she has a robot arm.1 point -

What's your favourite genre?
iaminsensible reacted to killamch89 for a topic
Puzzle games are a last resort - I would rather play go outside and actually play fetch with my dogs and I hardly ever do that.1 point -
I completely think online jobs should be added to your resume, since they could still give you relevant skills when applying for a position somewhere.1 point
