I will never understand why people will actively try to expose themselves to spoilers, it doesn't make sense to me.

I love this question, and goes beyond just asking for good music. I can't provide as good answers as others here but I hope they'll suffice all the same.
Medievil & Medievil 2: That's not a spelling error, the games were called Medievil. Composer duo Bob & Barn made some terrific tracks for their games, fully understanding the tone the games and levels required. The first game is rather haunting, preferring horror to comedy, and the music does an excellent job of aiding the atmosphere. Meanwhile Medievil 2 is more comical, but allows itself many triumphant and adrenaline-fuelled hits such as its boss themes. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. As a parody of 80s crime films and TV shows, Vice City is as much a character as Tommy Vercetti. The game borrows a lot of inspiration from the 80s and uses its music well for its several radio stations, proceeding to raise awareness of the hits back then even today. Its implementation of music is as cheesy as everything else it does. Left 4 Dead: Not much to say on this one, it's chilling when it wants to be, provides alerts and cues when necessary, and the final victory songs make the player feel like it's not over and they've only bought themselves a brief respite. Regarding Doom (2016), I found the music to be sensory overload and just listened to the first two Doom games' soundtracks as they at least try different styles of song. It wasn't just heavy metal, Mick Gordon's contributions being one of the myriad reasons why I consider Doom 2016 to be 'Doom by committee.'
That said it's a perfectly reasonable answer to the question. I guess my problem with it is its soundtrack is too pronounced and deliberate.
Good choice. I think that's the first game or series of games that firmly grounded the importance of soundtrack in video games, and did a lot to elevate the medium. No longer were they just little ditties or background noise, Martin O'Donnell's music was as much a part of the game as the locales and characters.

Mass Effect games are a big one, with the music setting the proper atmosphere and mood. That Normandy theme always gets me.
I feel like Detroit: Become Human had some decent tracks too that enhanced the thrill and emotions of the scenes, like "Now", from Connor's chase sequence. God, that was so good. Made the scene so much more intense:

You can't mention video games that had decent link up with impressive soundtracks without mentioning the Halo Series. The way the game's music flows up in the storyline and development of the game is a grand masterpiece.

ok now i'm confused. if the question is which games offer the least prejudice or bigotry i am sticking to ac new horizons. you can make whatever island you want. if you're part of the lgbtq crowd you can have that kind of island if that's what you want. i had a goth island going. i since restarted to do something else. i'm sure you could do just about anything on acnh u wanted. it's a creative/simulation type game. acnh doesn't really hang on male or female roles or nationalities or even sex. you just go to this deserted island and get yourself 10 villagers and start creating. the villagers go along with whatever because their those AI's and you can interact with them. befriend them and even love them.

I must admit, of all the games I expected to get a mention in this thread, Animal Crossing was right at the bottom of this list, but is what @Tonberry said is accurate and depending on what the social perspective of yourself is as the main character there could indeed be a lot more to this than meets the eye. I haven't played the games myself, but maybe my own preconceptions and assumptions about the franchise has led me to underestimate these games and develop something of a prejudice of my own about them. This is interesting and really want to learn more. Can either of you offer more information and/or media on this?

@Yaramaki As an example, in Stray, you play a cat in a world of robots, but none of them really treat you as anything but a person; they don't question your cat-ness. Contrast that with say, Skyrim, where if you play a Khajit (cat person), you have to put up with racist comments and scorn from NPCs.

Animal Crossing New Horizons. Whatever you do in that game, the villagers are always happy for you, where in the previous games (particularly the first one, it's been toned down more and more every installment) they could be more rude. But NH is essentially just a tool for the player to express themselves without fear of pushback nor repercussion.

I'm not going to stand on pedestal and declare that it looks better, but it doesn't look the same.

The colour palate and lighting in particular are so drastically different that it barely looks like the same game. Again, I'm not saying that it looks better nor worse, I still haven't made my mind up about that, but the vision for this remake is clear. It's trying to look more like the sequel with a duller, but more detailed approach to the graphics and people are well within thier rights to love or hate that. I did extensive reviews on both The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Part II, so I can say with confidence that I know these games better than most and would describe this remake as justified, but unnecessary. It's a masterpiece both with or without these changes, so I'm not mad about them, I just feel like I don't need them either.

I really need to get back to watching The Wire and The Sopranos someday. I had to stop when I went on my SMT binge, pausing all the shows I was watching. I just got started watching season 2 of both Wire and Sopranos too (and season 2 of Breaking Bad as well).
The Wire is a tough show to watch though because of its pacing. lol I had to replay certain scenes sometimes because I would miss out on what the characters were talking about. It's easier to follow the show though than say... Mad Men, which I was also watching season 2 of.

Hi everyone. I was looking for a new community to settle down in and found this place via Google. I enjoy RPGs and adventure games, particularly games where your choices affect the story like Mass Effect and Detroit: Become Human. I got into Shin Megami Tensei games recently and I'm currently playing through Devil Survivor: Overclocked on my New 3DS. Aside from gaming, I also like to binge-watch older TV shows like The Sopranos and The Wire, but I haven't had much time to do that ever since I got into the SMT-binge. Oh well.
Feel free to ask me any question so that we can know each other better. 🙂 I hope to see you guys around soon.

Haha I think its always good to try something to see if its something you're into 😄 What did you try to work on anyway? Thanks btw ^.^
Yay the trailer is my first attempt at making a trailer so its kind of rough , thanks for being gentle on me and not roasting too much haha. Yesir , it's a little different than normal NFTs since these aren't sold by us but collected by the players who get them from a drop table in game and we offer free minting on 2 different blockchains so its no cost for the players. They can buy them, sell them, use them, collect them etc. They are unique because only NFTs are visible on your character outside of its original appearance. You can get "virtual items" but they just provide attributes to your stats and not the visible appearance. Its like this because I had the characters made from scratch and the NFTs so whenever you make them you have to create animations for each individual hero and item so it would be nearly impossible to recreate virtual items in the same way.
In terms of blockchains and NFTs there's a tonnnn of bad actors out there.. It was a new phase and a bubble so it attracted a bunch of really negative intentions which drew even more negative attention haha. NFTs need real use cases and have a ton of potential, I chose to use NFTs because I plan to make a few other games once this one is completed, by using NFTs it allows players who own an NFT in one game to use it in another game! So lets say you have a favorite sword or pet in 1 game you can transfer it to another game by just having the NFT in your blockchain wallet. It allows for easier development by pulling "metadata" and just adding it to the new DB of a different game instead of actually having to recode it into the hard code of the game itself! The blockchain and NFTs are super useful if you actually use them for their intended purposes. We aren't even offering a "cryptocurrency" for the games right now and may never do so. Right now the focus is simply on integrating a useful technology and hope that people enjoy playing the games we make ^.^

Thanks for the wishes Kane 😛
Well the Prototype will be live within the next 72 hours based off current development phases, but its just a prototype which is like a live public version of Beta but people can still collect NFTs / learn the game while helping us better balance and stress test the servers.
Polishing hmm. Well the main game itself will go live in November and it has enough work to keep an army of developers busy xD We have 95% of the main game map complete in terms of design and the backend will be complete once we launch the Proto. We actually made the proto so we could design the backend and blockchain portions without waiting until the entire game was completed. It was a better way to streamline production / test as we go so when we launch the main game its perfected as far as it can be in real time.
A roadmap is a little different for us as we are new to it, we ended up having to work backwards on our "roadmap" in so many ways since we didn't anticipate the workloads or workflow of certain aspects of the game design 😄
Right now I'm actually designing the main games crafting tables, drop chances, etc etc since I'm already finished with the prototype, the developer is just finishing up blockchain stuff for the prototype and then he will switch over to the main game with me as soon as we launch the proto.

If anyone wants free access to the game Id be more than happy to get some accounts created with pre activated passes so you guys dont have to do the blockchain stuff ^.^
