Different experiences, different perspectives. It’s all good.

Preferences will differ always amongst gamers, it's been that way ever since video games came out. With Red Dead Redemption 2, with how everything is designed in the game, even it's characters and gameplay, I have nothing to dislike in the game.

I'm just short of words to describe my own favourite racing games, because I don't play much of them, but I'm going to say, 'GT is my favourite at this moment. Because I got the edition 7 on my PS4, which is the first ever edition launching on PS4.

For me, it's Burnout. The games were intense, felt fantastic to control, unique, great soundtracks and massive fun. Apart from Burnout Paradise, that game can suck a smelly toe, but the rest of them are great. Burnout 3 in particular is, in my humble opinion, the best arcade racing game ever made, and given the decline in the genre, will probably be best we will ever see.

I am a big fan of racing games, their is no secret to that. I opened up this thread to keep it engaged with fellow racing game lovers.
When it comes to my choice of racing games, I love 'Moto GP series a lot, I consider it my best racing game series of all-time. I take pride also around, 'GT series, NFS series, F1 series and Monster Energy Super-cross racing series.
What's your own favourite racing game series?

    Motor GP

That's nice to hear with your success around 10 mins Rome battle with your special Corvette blue car, lol. What's holding your from migrating to GT 7?
With the list you made here, it shows how far you've gone with your racing game choices. NASCAR, Turismo, WRC 8 are all tremendous racing games. For the fact you're playing them via different platforms shows how indebted you are playing racing games, the feeling is high. How many platforms do you make use of currently bro?

You know that I still favor Gran Turismo 6 over the newly released Gran Turismo 7. I'm playing the 6th edition as we speak.

GT6.  I've been binging on WRC 8 lately, but sometimes I find joy in revisiting GT6.  I won the ten minutes of Rome with the special blue Corvette and then modded and raced an '86 Celica.

Actually, the Ford Racing games were not rally games.  They were mainly road course games.  The only rally games I have poured a lot of time into are Mobil 1 British Rally Championship for the PC, which a relative in Ireland gave me once and WRC 8 for the Switch.  There's one fictional rally game I have, but it's a poor depiction of rally, the cars don't steer and I forget the title.  I consider my true racing backgrounds in gaming to be NASCAR, Test Drive games and Gran Turismo with a little Indy Car thrown in.

You're really up to something different with your racing game choice, you have two racing rally games you're playing, which is Ford and WRC 8. I'm yet to play them, I'll take a look at them to review what next for me.

Some research have supported this and some have refuted it as well. So, it's all about who plays that it affects in the way it does.

When you fail to plan well for any tournaments that you want to play, then you have already planned to fail in it.

In fact, a military wing of the US armed forces conducted a research on this topic and found that games help soldiers.

Yeah, it may help them with their combat skills because they are forced to think harder and it really helps them get good at their critical thinking.

Apart from entertainment, games also help in analytical thinking and decision making in real life. Research have found that soldiers who play games are good on the battlefield.

Gaming is a bit difficult and frustrating when we fail to win 🤣🤣😂. That is always the moment we wish there is something we can do to win again.

Especially when you win. The excitement is always different when we play games and win. I mean you get to enjoy it more instead of when such game is difficult to play.

The gaming world gained a lot of members during the Corona virus era. Most of the people at home decided to be playing games in order to keep their body and soul busy.

Exactly, and playing a relaxing video game can equally help you out as well when it comes to being able to get calm.

I believe that in such situations and feeling, getting out into the wild of nature can calm down the stress that you are into.

Ford Racing 2.  You'll never reach the time trial times no matter how smoothly you drive, but you get to see some legendary American cars as they would have appeared as new cars, so it's worth it.  By the way, I am still a Chevy fan, I just sometimes like Ford games.

The excitement as a beginner will always be the most fun part of playing video games, it never gets better than that but the frustration that comes up next is aching.

There are lots of bad games out there that are simply terrible and not worth anyone's time.
But occasionally there are some that are objectively bad or even broken in some sense, but still enjoyable. Have you encountered any such game?
I've seen several of these over the years that I've had fun with.
The oldest I can remember was Car & Driver all the way from 1992, which was a game published by EA long before The Need For Speed, and actually used the exact same formula, it was just based on a different car magazine, Car & Driver obviously. (The first NFS was made in collaboration with Road & Track). I loved how the game menus were made like pages of a magazine, it gave a lot to immersion. But unfortunately the physics of the game was some of the wonkiest I've seen, it was utterly terrible. Another fun fact, this was one of the first games I played that supported SVGA resolution (640x480).

The next one that stands out for me is another Racing game, but one released 10 years later: Street Legal Racing. This game was meant to be great, but it was published by a budget publisher, and the developers bit much more than they could chew. They wanted to make a game much more complex than what fit in the publisher's timeline and budget. So the game released unfinished, broken and buggy. What has set it apart was the extremely detailed simulation, the game actually simulated the fluids in the car like coolant, fuel, etc. And it had a damage model that beat everything that came before or after until BeamNG claimed that throne. It also had extensive car upgrade and tuning system. The game become a cult classic and still has a very active community with lots of mods available. Most of the games kinks and bugs were fixed in several patches and a re-release, and the developers kept supporting the game long after the publisher bailed. But of course it never achieved mainstream success, and the developers gave up on trying to do complex games soon after.  The company is still around actually but only makes mobile trash since 2009, the original devs on the ground long since left the company. Fun fact: One of the devs turned up in the credits of Driver San Francisco, last I saw.

I've had countless hours of fun crashing and harassing traffic in the game, and trying to build the fastest cars.

Splinter Cell Double Agent This game was probably the most broken AAA game I had ever played, but it had some such unique mechanics and novel ideas that I enjoyed it despite of it being a buggy piece of trash. Since I wrote a full review on the game way back when I'll link that instead of going into more detail here:

The last game for now is Alpha Protocol: The greatest bad game ever made! This is another game I wrote a  full article on so click for details:
