Congratulations on getting healthier!! I don't like going to gyms and using equipment other people have touched (that's before covid even!) but I love to go on long hikes. Every time there is a warm day I like to get out to the park and do a few miles.

Part of growing up means that your body is not the same as before, when I was in my early 20s I used to eat a whole pizza and drink beer every weekend and I stilll managed to be in skinny and in good shape. But since the pandemic started I maintained this life style of no excersice and junk food every weekend and with in two years I actually gained about 10 kilos or 22 pounds. So I decided to start going to the gym and a healthy diet one month ago today and the results are starting to kick in, I lost 3 kilos or 6.5 pounds, my stamina doubled, my beer belly is practically gone and abs are starting to show up hahaha xD never had them before so it cracks me up to see my small abs 😆 Anyway I just wanted to share my experience and wanted to know if anybody here excersices on a regular basis as well and what has been your experience ?

On a side note I really do miss playing videogames on the weekends eating a slice of pizza and good beer 😢

It's only my SEGA Saturn that's packed away in my closet like that but for all my older PS consoles, I gave them all away.

I do that very often with my old Nintendo 64 because I don't want it to lose its functionality for being dumped for too long.

One of my colleagues is into geocaching, he was at some point the leader of the local geocaching community. He still bicycles up to 10k miles a year at 65.
That said for geocaching your phone is not going to cut it. Firstly because its battery will die if you use to navigate all day. And second it's not nearly precise enough to pinpoint your location, especially in a forest. You need dedicated hiking GPS if you are serious about it.
Your phone's GPS can be 100 meters off, or even more, a hiking GPS should be accurate to around 5-10 meters.

You’re absolutely right. Games back then were immensely more challenging. We didn’t have guides, or online walkthroughs, or even the internet to look for help from other gamers. The only way to get any tips was word of mouth. Mainly I’m talking about the NES. But even the next couple generations were almost as bad. Nowadays every game has in depth guides, and online walkthroughs written by scores of people. In all honesty, the closest thing we had back then was a Game Genie.

There used to be a kids show called Zoom and they spoke a language called Ubbi Dubbi. I sent away at one time for the instructions on how to speak it and it was totally confusing to me. My friends all knew how to do it easily though!

Lämmchen got a reaction from The Blackangel in 52 House democrats from Texas have arrest warrants for leaving state to protest voting restriction bill
I'm glad the bill passed. For those who insist there was NO election fraud at all haven't been paying attention. There WAS election fraud, just not as extreme as some people say. But there is documented election fraud from the 2020 election...it's just that CNN doesn't want to air it.
Increasing polling places means needing volunteers to run it. There is a lack of volunteers all over to keep polling locations open and we need to encourage the Millennials to start volunteering more to work the polls. No one is prohibiting voters from voting. Wanting secure elections is not prohibiting people from voting...unless they are illegals who shouldn't be voting. Or people who want to vote multiple times.

I use Google out of habit but more and more I find myself using DuckDuckGo. I think Google censors too many of my searches and I'm surprised at some of the sites I'll get when I switch to DuckDuckGo. I think recipes are about the same but things like politics, news articles, even religion can give me different hits.

I wanted to be a zookeeper when I was 7 years old. I love being around animals and it sounded like a fun job. Well, that was until someone told me I'd have to clean up after the animals and I changed my mind from there and chose artist.

Yeah, these ear worms can be a nuisance but not always, especially now that commercials are playing songs from the 80s! I just wait for the next commercial to change the tune.
At least it's not Barney's or Lambchop's songs  😉  Oh, no, I went there!

I would think this should be something that the parents choose for their families and not something that any government should impose. Yes, children's brains and health are at risk if they are constantly are glued to a video game. But parents should be the ones who step in and set boundaries.

If I'm playing with younger people then gaming most certainly causes my self-esteem to drop since I'm not as good as they are! I prefer to play alone so no one sees how poorly I do at some of the games! If I get a high score on a game that others think is hard then my self-esteem is definitely boosted.

I have Samsung Tab s7 and it has dex mode with its keyboard case where it basically functions as a laptop. Dex mode was also developed in co-operation with Microsoft so it does feel like a laptop experience. The keyboard and touch pad have the same input functionality as typical Windows laptops so it's very smooth. To top it all off, the tablet is far more portable than a laptop. It should be pointed out though that it's not a complete substitute for the desktop/laptop experience because of the lack of app support but for basic web browsing and basic productivity such as using microsoft office, it's got you covered. That way, I can keep the most important stuff on my laptop safely at home (although to be fair, I do have my important files backed up on an AES 256 encryption cloud service called Sync but still).

I hate when the system lags and it's usually at a really good part in the game! Either that or it totally gives out on me which hasn't happened in a long time but maybe I'm jinxing it now? It really spoils the momentum when stuff like that happens.

Yeah - you did tell us about how your parents treated when you were young.
Nope - if anything it was the reverse. I framed him for some of the things I did - I was such a bastard as a kid. I've changed a lot since going through puberty and I also grew a lot wiser so I just stayed away from some things and outgrew some habits.

This is what I would suggest, black electrical tape! It's what I use on my laptop to cover the camera because it's easily removable when I need it and doesn't leave a sticky residue.
It think if you're sleeping in the same room as a controller with a light bar that's on then that's annoying but I don't mind it for actual game play.

Ooh I've been told so many times online that I'm blunt and at times it's hurt some feelings. I don't like to purposely sugar coat things but there are times with some types of discussions that I'm aware I have to speak with a little more gentleness. But I do believe the truth needs to be stated in most cases.

I carry a .357 magnum when I go out, and will use it if I have no choice. Otherwise, it stays holstered on my hip. I always keep one in arms reach. Right now I have my newest gun right beside me. It's a laser sighted .380. It's compact, but accurate and will get the point across if required.

I always start off with default. I am not even sure I've ever switched to a difficult mode for playing? If I'm playing for entertainment, which I normally am, then why stress myself out with too hard of a setting?
