  1. AC2 is a great game, one of my personal favorites, but I think Brotherhood was a far better game. It took what 2 did and pretty much did even more. AC2 was an awesome game, but I think Brotherhood was where the series officially started to get going. If they added the auto climb mechanic from 3, I think 2 and Brotherhood would be even better. And to be fair, earlier AC games were fairly easy to play. Aside from some missions, I remember the combat being really simple and easy. I didn't complain though, because it made me feel like a badass running down tons of enemies with ease.
  2. I watched a playthrough of SOMA years ago, and always wanted to give it a go, but I figured it would be pointless after watching people play it. It is one of those games where you don't know what could be around the corner. Given that you're in space and I think you're in an abandoned station without power. It's dark, and enemies are random if I remember correctly. I kinda disagree about Layers of Fear though. It's essentially a walking simulator with jump scares. I get why people like it, because the atmosphere is pretty dope, but for me, that's all it's got going for it. Plus I probably hate it more due to the early access version I played breaking on me twice. To which point, replaying it a third time, the scares just didn't do it for me.
  3. That's why I never understood why people claim games cause violence. For me, a person who isn't violent at all, I have played a lot violent games out there. I've never been inspired by a game to kill, or to go out and hurt someone. I have played games where I just go on a killing sprees. Like with GTA V and RDR2. I have often found that I like going around killing people. But I would never have an urge to actually go out and kill people in real life.
  4. Yeah I should have said the PS4, PS3 and then the PS2. I don't recall how many sales the PS1 had, but I'm sure it's up there as well. But yeah, It's crazy to think how fast the consoles have moved. Even with the Series X. I think it's partly due to covid and people being in doors. Plus I imagine some people used their stimulus checks to get the new consoles. Didn't the PS5 and Series X come out mid pandemic? And on top of that, I think there are more people interested in gaming these days, so that could be a reason why sales have increased.
  5. I don't know, I wouldn't say that so much. I think a lot of these ideas are fine to replicate in other games, as long as it's not 100% copied and is made their own, it should be fine. THat's the beauty of this sort of thing, because legally people can make similar styles of games, but they need to make it their own and not copy it to a point where it's exactly the same thing. It needs to be changed just enough and even be an improvement in some ways for it to be allowed. That's why you see so many similar devices out there. Because people produce products to compete with those things.
  6. They won't do much of anything, true. But I think they will do some support fixes here and there when needed. They won't 100% drop support, at least not yet. They'll let things ease in, as they allow the user base to continue to die down, and once there's not many people playing anymore, they'll drop the support. The support they will give will be for bugs and other such things. And once the user base is down low enough, they'll probably let gamers go to town on the online mode. Kinda like what they did with GTA IV and RDR1 online. I can imagine those two games are a hacked mess now online. But maybe some people found a way to make the servers work again.
  7. Yeah I'm normally pausing my games to go and handle something in the other room, or take my dog out, stuff like that pretty much. If there's a time where I think I'll be gone for longer, I will then turn the game off, even mid mission if I need to. In terms of taking a break from a game for a while longer, I do that sometimes too. Usually though, if I take a long break, I don't tend to come back to the game anytime soon. So it may go back into the wait pile as I play something else, or take on life stuff. I do that a lot with games these days. Did it with the Guardians of the Galaxy game. Played one day, and then never looked back. I still want to finish it, but I don't know if I want to bother as I'd have to learn the controls again lol.
  8. There are games you can play while sitting down, so you don't need to utilize a full room. But I believe most VR games out there are better suited for a bigger space so you can move around without issue. There are also VR devices that you can step into that makes it easier to walk on, but I imagine that would be extremely expensive. Like the Virtusphere device. It's like a circular cage you can step in to play VR games a bit more easily. Here's their site - http://www.virtusphere.com/ There's no price info available, they require you to email them for that. I bet it's up there though.
  9. I remember having a GBA for a while. I borrowed a friends copy of a DBZ game. I believe it was based on Goku, but I am having a hard time remembering the title. I think it was like Goku's Story or something. I know Goku was in the title, because it was heavily about him. It was in the style of Legend of Zelda and you could talk to people, fight people and so on. I never got too far in it though. Oh, it just came to me, the game was called The Legacy of Goku. Surprised this game doesn't get talked about more often, it was pretty fun from what I remember. I remember fond memories of playing that on a trip down to see my Grandma years ago. So it's got some nostalgia for me there. I played a bit of the first Spyro, but never the second one. I actually remember playing the first game with my first nephew back when we were kids. I never owned Spyro games growing up, so playing it then was a fun time. Sadly we didn't get to play it too long before they wanted to play something else, but I remember it fondly. 🙂
  10. I think with video games in general, they are a lot easier to handle than real life. Real life can be a huge burden at times, from having to have a job, be healthy, workout, eat food, and so on. In video games I can relax a bit more and not worry so much about the problems in my real life. Real life is a chore to deal with at times, while video games allow me the escape I long for in some regards. With RDR2, I bring that up, because I find living in that world a lot easier than living in the real world. It's easier for me to get into a game, than it is to do my taxes, workout, and do stuff in general. But yeah, I do sometimes feel responsible in video games too, but it's to a lesser extent than real life. I just don't take games as seriously as I do life.
  11. True, but it doesn't necessarily need to follow the show. It could be its own story with different characters. Or it could be a completely new take not having anything to do with the show. As well, if Vince Gilligan is interested in doing a game, maybe he can work on a whole new game with a different name and plot. It doesn't have to be Breaking Bad in name either. But I could see it selling more if it was titled in such a way. Idk, GTA these days is a lot more serious than past iterations. Especially with GTA V. It has it has its humor, but is very serious for the most part. And I think any future GTA would be even more serious. GTA Online though can be as crazy as it wants to be though. But single player it will probably focus on a more serious storyline, much like GTA IV and GTA V did.
  12. Why boycott it? The game is being made from the ground up, it's not a typical remaster in the sense that they just re-release it with fancy upgrades. This is being rebuilt into a completely new game. I think when it comes to that, the price point (either $70 or $60) is more fair. Considering it's not just a quick remaster. If it was a remaster for $70, then I would join you in not getting it, because I don't think a remaster of a game deserves to be priced at full price like that.
  13. Hmm, favorite gaming memories. Honestly for me, it was playing video games on the NES with my mom and sister when I was a kid. I still think of it from time to time. None of them game anymore. I'm the only one who does, but now I think I took that role up for my nephew, who is now into video games. I like to think I was the one who got him into video games, especially the ones he enjoys, like Half Life and Portal. He never shuts up about those games haha. No worries, sounds good. 🙂
  14. Ah okidoki. I played the first via a demo, and never played the full game. I think I also attempted to play Tomb Raider Legends, but this was after I played the newer series. I couldn't get into it though. Felt really aged compared to the new experiences. Anyway, when you do those playthroughs, please do let us know, we'd love to check them out. 🙂
  15. For most of them yeah. I prefer my Steam and maybe GOG because they are DRM free with their games. The rest like Epic and Uplay are annoying. What I hate the most is having to have a launcher for every marketplace out there. Even GOG uses their own launcher, Rockstar too. I get that in some regards, but I still feel like including the game itself is ideal. Otherwise it's just a waste of plastic and paper. Unless they include extras inside the box to make up for it, like a poster, stickers, etc. At least give people to purchase it a reason to get the physical version instead.
  16. This is an interesting list of games banned in certain parts of the world. Some example from the article below are; Fallout 3 is banned in India because of there being two headed mutant cows, and I guess in India, cows are very sacred animals. Another example is Pokemon Go, which was banned in Malaysia because of, and I quote: "The game promoted the search for power". What that means I have no clue, and neither does the article writer lol. Even Animal Crossing: New Horizons was banned in China because people were able to make clothing items that were against China and people can go to other islands wearing it, and so they decided to just outright ban the game. There are others on this list, but you can read the rest here - https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/banned-video-games Any of these odd to you?
  17. Source of story here - https://www.gamespot.com/articles/breaking-bad-creator-says-he-tried-to-make-a-video-game-adaptation/1100-6506313/ In all honesty, I would have bought a Breaking Bad game day one if it was ever a reality. And according to Vince Gilligan himself, he had contemplated making a video game based off his hit show. He also thought of the idea because of how popular GTA is, and he figured Breaking Bad as a video game would work in that way. He even asked his team about getting a hold of the creators (Rockstar) into making a Breaking Bad game. How cool would that have been? I doubt it would have happened, but I could see someone making a Breaking Bad game. I just don't know how it would work in the BB story. Maybe it can be about a side character working for Gustavo Fring. There's a lot that could probably be done. And who's to say it has to be a BB game, it could be a spin-off in that world, kind of like what Better Call Saul is. But they can tie the game into that story in some way. What do you think?
  18. This is just crazy, the PS5 has now outsold the Nintendo Gamecube in sales. That's based off the Gamecube's lifetime sales. The PS5 has sold 21.83 million units worldwide as of this moment, and the Gamecube's sales reached 21.74 overall. I never would have expected the PS5 to sell this fast. Soon enough it will catch up with the PS2 sales and then eventually the PS4 and maybe even the switch. I think the switch is higher up there right now, but I could be wrong. Anyway, you can read about this news here - https://www.vgchartz.com/article/454508/ps5-outsells-nintendo-gamecube/
  19. Has anyone played RDR2 online since the funeral thing? I don't want to boot up the online mode on my PC, because I don't want to end up messing up my character on the Xbox. My brother sometimes plays that and I don't want to risk possibly deleting his character by signing into the online on PC. (my xbox and Pc use the same Rockstar account). No worries. 🙂
  20. Ah okay, that makes more sense. Yeah a lot of games do this. One that comes to mind right away is the Fable series. They did that fairly well, in that if you're good you can tax the people less, but if you're evil you can tax them a ton. I always thought that was a cool feature. I think it was in Fable 2 or 3, I don't remember. My brother mostly played the series while I watched. But I remember one of the games you'd become the king, and you can then make decisions about the community. I know collecting taxes was one of them, but you may have had other responsibilities like making life or death decisions and so on. I know many other games feature some politics, but I don't know of any that are like Fable. I know the civ games probably count too, as you use a lot of politics to fight and or smooth things over.
  21. I just checked walmart myself and there is no 3D TVs around. I think we're officially done with the 3D TV craze until it returns in another 5-10 years lol. It's always as if 3D TVs and 3D media always come back. I know with 3D movies showing up in theaters, it seemed to be making a comeback then, but I swear 3D TV and tech has been coming and going for years now. I bet that 3D TVs will make a comeback in that 5-10 years. I think the only way otherwise to get a 3D TV now is ebay and other stores that sell used stuff. You might be able to find them on Amazon too, but I didn't check there.
  22. Oh for sure. I have nothing against anyone who thinks it's for kids or doesn't like it. In reality it's for everyone. I found it refreshing. Plus, there is a bit of a story there, and it kinda made me sad, because the story is essentially you, growing up, moving to a new house, into a new room, going to college, buying your first house, etc. And if I remember correctly, it ends when you're an adult and married with a kid and so on. It essentially runs through life, and it is kinda depressing, but also heartwarming because it shows a little life here and there. If you like something simple, and doesn't force you to do anything a certain way (well kinda as you have to find the correct locations for everything), then you'll like this game.
  23. I think most content like this is age gated, but I could be wrong. I've seen some YouTubers who post some offensive content, open for viewing even as a kid. I think YouTube in general is a mess, so I could see some YouTubers getting away with not age-gating their channel. I know some YouTubers hate age-gating, as it causes issues with their ads, as some advertisers don't like to be paired up with content that's age-gated. Or age restricted. Which is why many YouTubers have started bleeping themselves so they can show it to all ages. I think Game Grumps does this, but I'm not sure. I feel like they let their swears go.
  24. It would make sense, considering they haven't done much good with the property since Generations. And even that, fans may be mixed on that. What I think they should do, is focus more on the movies for now, and then maybe after the 3rd movie drops, release that new game. Or idk, just give it more time to gestate before releasing it. They could easily take their time and not rush a release. I think if they actually did, their last couple games would have been much better. I'm interested in seeing how the new Sonic game does, but I'm not holding out any hope for it.
  25. I wouldn't say that. I think it's more of someone trying to trick people to buy crap because of popular character. I was able to find another video showing it off, you can view it below: There are other games like this on other marketplaces as well. Sadly it happens to a lot of popular games. I imagine Steam and other platforms have similar games that are just tossed up after they develop something for a few minutes lol. Good thing that most people know better than to buy crap like this. But I imagine some people were tricked. But, I can see others buying it just to make content on it. Much like this guy did.
