  1. Facebook owns Oculus and I could see them producing games for the device. Do you think Facebook will ever release their own game? Have they already released games of their own for Oculus? Facebook could easily jump into gaming with all the cash they make. What do you guys think though? Could Facebook make it in the gaming industry? Or would you prefer if they stayed as far away as possible?
  2. You know what, I'd actually like to see GTA join forces with Saint's Row. I don't know how it'd work, but I could see it being a hell of a ride if so. I think Saints Row could bring the campiness, while GTA brings in the realism and seriousness. Other than that, I would like to see a Football game where you can play football, but after you're done, you're a secret agent or something, so maybe Hitman mixed with Football. By day, he's a pro football player, by night, he's one of the most ruthless hitmen. Idk, weirder things have been done.
  3. There's been a few games where I'd get stuck. Mostly puzzle games. I think one game that comes to mind, is the Turing Test. That's a puzzle game, and I remember a couple parts I need to access a walkthrough. It's usually with puzzle games, or games where you're stuck in a maze like area.
  4. Yeah I had a feeling that was the case. I figured with new physical games still releasing for the console, that maybe there was a chance that the Wii still had service. But I suppose at this point, it'd be quite pointless. Still though, it's weird to see them still making games for it. Kind of reminds me of when they kept making PS2 games (mostly sports titles) when the PS3 was still out. Hell, I think they still had some games coming out near the PS4's release. But I may be wrong on that.
  5. Yeah, these studios have to stop promising us a certain release date when their game isn't 100% ready. That's why I wish studios would only announce something when it's close to being done. And they should never put out a release date until they know full well they can actually make it.
  6. I don't know, I have a relatively easy time when it comes to running games on windows 10. But then again, I'm not super knowledgeable when it comes to windows 10. All I know, is that most games work for me and I can't really complain much.
  7. Have you guys ever played any of the educational Mario games? I am only aware of Mario Is Missing, and I know there was another one, but I'm drawing a blank. Do you think these games are worth adding to my collection? Are they cheap enough? Was there any other educational games from Nintendo?
  8. It's weird to hear about Nintendo purchasing a studio, but it looks like they did exactly that, as they recently purchased up Canadian game studio Next Level Games. It may make sense though, as they were involved in the development of Luigi’s Mansion 3. This is actually the first studio they purchased since Monolith Soft back in 2007. So it's been quite a long time since they purchased anything. I think it makes perfect sense though, considering they worked on one of their games. Do you think this will result in more purchases from Nintendo? Or will they slow back down in that regard? You can read more on this news here - TechCrunch
  9. So this is cool news. Microsoft may be making their own DualSense style controller. Take this with a grain of salt, Someone was working on a survey from Xbox, and one of the questions mentioned was "I am aware of features on PlayStation controllers that I wish were on the controller that came with this console." This doesn't mean Xbox will be getting a controller like it, but it could result in a new Elite controller with features the dual sense has. What do you guys think? Source - Exputer
  10. I didn't even know a new Super Meat Boy was in the works, and come to find out, they released a new game in the series just this Christmas. I didn't see any ads, or promotion for it. EIther way, it's cool a new game in the series is out. Do you guys think it's going to live up to what the original game was? Is anyone here purchasing it? It's available on Switch and PC right now I think, and it's coming out for the other consoles sometime in early 2021.
  11. With how dumb the names have been for Xbox consoles, it got me thinking, how dumb of a name do you think the next Xbox will get? Maybe it's Xbox Two? Maybe Xbox Super Series. Xbox 360 2. lol Idk, I can't think of what they could go with next. What do you guys think?
  12. The game is very similar to the classics, but with better controls. As well, the newer games tend to be a lot easier, as there is an option to follow certain leads to get a certain kill. It kind of takes away from learning the maps. But, you can turn that option off.
  13. It could be due to money, but I think it's more to do with the fact that Game Pass is taking over, so maybe they're going to just drop the program soon. They could easily add these in with Game Pass each month or something.
  14. Moderator Edit: A few days after the original posting of this topic, the company involved with the Limited Edition console cancelled all orders due to cliams of threats against the safety of thier employees, making the original context of the thread redundant through no fault of @Kane99. Because of this, I have moved the thread to a different sub-forum and changed the title so the conversation can continue in the vain of the way the story has developed and changed. I hope you will join with me in thanking @Kane99 for the original posting and continue to discuss the story here in the appropriate tone. A new PS2 themed PS5 is coming out January 8th. To me, it doesn't look that much like a PS2. The colors seem off to me, and don't quite match up. Either way, it's a sexy looking console. Are you going to purchase it? Read more here - TechRadar
  15. Can you still buy digital games on the Wii? I ask because I noticed that they still release some games on the Wii as well, even to this day. Stuff like Just Dance I think is what releases. Anyway, does the Wii still have access to their marketplace? Or has that since been closed down?
  16. Not sure I could make a game for just that amount. $100,000 is a lot, but I don't know if I could make a game with just that amount. I would like to, but I don't have the knowledge. If I had the knowledge, maybe it's a possibility. If I could, I would probably make a stealth game. Not sure on the theme or settings, but stealth for sure.
  17. Most likely still Cyberpunk 2077 and maybe Phasmophobia. I'm looking forward to Hitman 3 and Back 4 Blood currently. Not sure what else I'll be playing in 2021.
  18. Usually the mom & pop shops have more games to choose from and often times cooler stuff. I wish there was more gaming stores around me. I think we still have a gamestop around here, but I think the other gaming stores have closed, or they're further away from where I live. 😞
  19. I imagine betting on esports is already high up there. I suppose with the pandemic, we may see a rise in online betting, especially when it comes to esports. Not sure I would want to put bets on esports players. I feel it'd be more risky than betting on sports or something else.
  20. That's probably why they have caused confusion with their console names in recent years. The Xbox One was a dumb choice imo. People at the time, suggested just calling it Xbox. Which I think they should have done. It would make it easier for consumers to know what they're getting and it'd sell a lot easier too I imagine. I just think, it would be a good idea for them to call the new console something else, maybe just Xbox like I said. Or call it Xbox 4 or something.
  21. When it comes to buying video games from in-store locations, do you tend to go to the usual Gamestop, or do you prefer to go to those mom & pop style gaming stores, usually stores run by an individual or a family. I wouldn't mind having my own video game store, but not anything to do with Gamestop, as I wouldn't want to deal with the people running the company. So, if I were to ever start my own store, it would be my own, and not part of Gamestop. Anyway, where do you prefer to purchase your games between these stores? Or maybe you like other big name gaming stores out there.
  22. Have you ever tried to bid on a really high priced game on Ebay? Did you win the bidding war? Or did you lose out to a bot or someone else? I never tried to bid on any rare games, but I did try to bid on some albums like 10 years ago lol. I was never one for bidding on stuff though. But, I know a lot of gamers love to collect and they will be going through ebay to get some of those rarer games. With that being said, has anyone here won a bidding war for a rare and expensive game? If so, what game(s) did you end up getting?
  23. So I saw an article earlier about 9 dumb ways to die in video games, that you can read here - GameSpew The article above basically goes over the dumb ways you can die in a game, and it starts off simple, like falling off the map, friendly fire, etc. But what are some not on this list and ones you remember happening when you died in a game? I can't count how many times I've died in dumb ways. Recently I was playing Cyberpunk 2077 and didn't notice there was explosions everywhere, even though I can scan the area. I saw some explosions, but what I didn't see, was mines laying about. So I went in there like an idiot and started popping off people. I stepped on a mine, and had no idea why I died so quick. Reloaded the checkpoint and finally figured it out. But yeah, I've died for dumber reasons. Like walking up to an enemy to stealth kill him, and then he immediately turns around to kill me. Fun times. Anyway, do you remember a time you died in game that was dumb or even funny?
  24. Looks like someone released a 3rd person mod for Cyberpunk 2077, and it doesn't look that great lol. Don't get me wrong, it looks like it works, but it's clear that the animations weren't meant to be seen. Check the video on how to install it below, where it shows some of the mod in action.
  25. If EA jumping into the game pass fray wasn't enough, Ubisoft may also be joining forced with Xbox and their game pass service, by adding their own sub service, known as Ubisoft+. If this is to be true, this will be a big addition to Xbox's catalog of games and will be a big deciding factor for many gamers in deciding Game Pass or not. Personally, I think this is the best deal in gaming, especially if they include Ubisoft+. This could mean more services like it will be joining gamepass, and for only $15 a month, you're really getting a huge bargain. What do you guys think?
