  1. Oh I know they won't change their ways. It's more of just a "I wish they would do this" type of topic. 😄 I'm not saying 100% free. Just free to play. These studios could then add in updated rosters, graphics and enhancements. They can charge for their special modes and for microtransactions and all that.
  2. Not sure if anyone here really cares, but EA will be producing further UFC fighting games. It doesn't say how long the deal lasts, but it's a multi-year deal. UFC is a popular medium right now, and games seem to sell quite well. I miss the UFC games from THQ though. I think they made the better UFC games imo. Read more about this news here - BJ Penn Will you guys be buying this one? I think I'll pass, these games tend to be glitchy messes, and the fighting doesn't look as real compared to the older UFC games THQ made.
  3. I don't think this has yet been discussed, but I think all sports games, should be free to play. With the rate each studio has to drop out a new sports title every year, I just don't see why they don't instead make their sports titles free to play, and pop in microtransactions and all that nonsense. We know they're going to do it, so why not make the base game free to play? I think releasing just one game and updating it constantly would be a lot better for all people involved. What do you guys think?
  4. I've heard of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, but I don't recall if I played it. I played Murdered: Soul Suspect. Thought it was decent, but it was too easy of a game imo. I've heard of American Fugitive, and will gladly look into that one some further. Can't say I've heard of Earthworms, but after that trailer, I now want to know more. Thief Simulator looks like a blast to play. Played Saints Row 1-4 🙂 I wish they were making new games in the series, but I know it's been shuffled with studios for a while now, so I wonder who would be even making a new Saints Row. Anyway, I can always revisit the first game again. Haven't played it since 2010 I'd guess.
  5. For those who don't remember, the Playdate is a new mobile handheld gaming device that will be coming out with brand new games, all of which are made on the cheap from what I'm seeing. The handheld also has a hand crank that you can use in game as a controller option. Pretty interesting. Anyway, they reported that orders for their new console will start in 2021. You can read more about this news here -Shack News And you can check out their site here to get more of an idea: https://play.date/
  6. SimCity 2000 or 3000. I remember playing 2000 in my schools computer lab during class. I then got 3000 as a birthday gift. What I found funny, was that my dad found what looked like a used copy, as it was just the jewel case with no cover art. Always thought that was weird. Anyway, I played the hell out of that game. I especially remember using cheats to destroy my worlds. Was always a fun game to play.
  7. Has anyone here played these series? I got all three games on the PS2 a while back from a friend, and have not even tried any of them yet. Are these games any good? Do they compare to other 3D platformers? I think one of these weekends, I'm going to play through them to see how they are. I'm going to guess they're not that great.
  8. I think the series s will be just fine. It'll from my understanding still have great graphics and will play all the same games. If you want to play all your games in the best quality and with less lag, than a series x may be a better option. But, I bet your son would be happy with either.
  9. At release, Sea of Thieves wasn't well received, in fact I don't think many really jumped into the game until later on. I hear it's done a lot of changes since release, and it's doing fairly well today. Do you think it's a good time to jump into this game? Or is it still a pass for you? I'm probably going to get game pass again and give it a try.
  10. Same here. I grew up with the Driver series. The first one I played a ton with my brother in law, he was pretty good at the game. I then got my hands on Driver 2, which is my favorite among the original games. Driver 3 was already, but it was a glitched mess and wasn't 100% finished. But yeah, Driver is one of my favorites. But that beginning tutorial, my goodness was it annoying!
  11. This is a nice deal for those who want to extend their PS plus subscription. Which is perfect timing with the PS5 nearly here. Well, it's just 8 days to go until the PS5 comes out. Are you going to take advantage of this offer? Find it at the link here - Twisted Voxel This deal applies to people who need to re-apply soon. I don't think anyone can take advantage of it though. 😞
  12. Yeah, a few free to play games out there make a lot of money in return. I think he means most games that go the free to play model don't have that much success, but I could be wrong. Either way, there are some free to play games that make a ton of money.
  13. What are some popular games that feature a president as a main character or as one of the protagonists? There was one mech game I remember that involved a US president (made up one), but I can't remember what it was called. I am mainly looking for weird games featuring presidents. And hey, it's the election, may as well discuss games featuring a president.

    Twin Mirror

Twin Mirror is a psychological thriller about a man who goes back home to attend a friends funeral. While there, some mysteries are unraveled and he goes on to investigate the many mysteries of his hometown. This game looks quite appealing, and I kind of get the vibe of Alan Wake, and L.A. Noire, with a mix of Batman Arkham Series Detective mode.
  15. When it comes to esports, I imagine for esporting events, they require all players use new controllers provided by the organization running the event. I think that's what they do these days, but I could be wrong. I think it's smart if true, because we wouldn't want some gamer to come in with a modded controller after all. I just figure that everyone is required to use the same controller. What do you guys think?
  16. I've been wanting to play some crime based games lately, stuff where I can investigate, or be a part of the investigation. I love L.A. Noire for that reason and would love to try some other games that are similar in style and gameplay. Do you guys have any suggestions?
  17. Yeah, I played Titanfall 1 and 2. Really enjoyed them. But I haven't found interest in the series in years. I do wonder if they will ever make a 3rd game. I'd buy it. I remember Medal of Honor. It was huge on the PS1 and somewhat on the PS2, but the series sadly tanked as it continued on. Especially when EA tried to revive the franchise. It didn't work so well. But, I'm always open to playing old games again.
  18. Yeah, Konami deserves to be on this list just from the way they treated Kojima and their other employees. They clearly didn't care about their image, because they tanked it big time. I don't think they can get back into fans hearts either. I think they blew it. The only way I'd consider respecting them again, is if they started to work on games again. If they don't plan to make anymore games, at least sell of some of those franchises.
  19. Yeah, I kind of disagreed on the N64 controller being on the list. I know it was an odd controller and some found it hard to get used to, but I rarely had problems with them. If anything, I like the design over some controllers today.
  20. This is an odd story, so it seems Gamestop is doing a new contest with Tik-tok, where the prize you win, is more work. Read more on this here - WCCFTECH So this contest is interesting. It seems to be meant for store managers to do a dance to win some prizes. The prizes include: Echo 8, Echo Auto, $100 VISA gift card and...... 10 additional labor hours to use during Black Friday week! So you heard that right. They're giving the winning store, 10 additional labor hours to use during the Black Friday sales. Can you believe that? This means the manager can divy these hours up among employees so they can have a blast working on black friday lol. But the manager wins the prizes otherwise. How fun! What do you think about this? Is this dumb? Or is this extremely dumb?
  21. Yeah I suppose it could have been a trend. But even so, I would love to have a BMX game. There was a BMX game on Xbox One, but it was a indie game where the controls weren't that good. I just miss those games. We don't see them enough these days. What I think would be cool, is if they released a compilation set with all kinds of extreme sports in one package.
  22. It's possible some of the Halloween bits were added to the single player. I doubt it, but that would be cool. I haven't touched RDR2 in a while. In fact, I've been playing RDR1 Undead Nightmare as of late. Weird going back, but it's so worth it. But yeah, I heard there was corpses where the eyes still moved, but I think that was online as well.
  23. Extreme sports used to be hugely popular genre, but it seems there hasn't been much going in the genre for years now. With Tony Hawk Pro Skater making a comeback with the remastered 1 & 2 set, it got me thinking, why haven't we seen more extreme sports games released? I wouldn't mind more skateboarding games, as well, BMX, snowboarding, inline skating, etc. Back in the day I remember Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, and wish there was more games like this on current consoles. What do you guys think? What other extreme sports would you like to see get games again?
  24. Well I agree with Jak and Daxter, and somewhat on Ratchet and Clank, but Crash Bandicoot kind of had a resurgence recently. So I don't know if I'd count it. Jet Moto and Wipeout I agree with, because I don't think we'd had any recent ones. Yeah that one seems quite forgotten. I sadly never played it, but at the time or release, I remember it being quite popular.
  25. Does anyone here remember this game on the PS1? It was like a military strategy game, where you could play as tanks and mechs. The mechs kind of looked like the AT-ATs from Star Wars. Check out a few screenshots below for what I mean. I remember playing this game a lot when I was a kid, but never got too far in it. The enemies always found a way to defeat me. I think I mostly played the two-player mode with my brother, and we had fun playing against each other. Do you guys remember this game?
