  1. Controller is going to work wonderfully well. I just hope this doesn't break as easily like controllers often seem to do these days. Had my fair share of problems with my Xbox controllers over the years. I'm just tired of having to purchase new controllers every couple years, hopefully that changes with these new gen controllers.
  2. I love Alan Wake. The game was something I originally was too scared to play, but when I finally did, I realized how fun it truly was. As well, it's not as scary as I originally thought it would be. Anyway, we got the American Nightmare DLC and Control has some DLC coming or already released that includes a story line with Alan Wake. But I want a full on sequel now. Alan Wake came out in 2010, one of the best years in gaming imo, and with that, I would love to see a new Alan Wake game release. I doubt it will ever happen, but I would be the happiest boy ever if it were to ever happen. If they did make a sequel, do you think it'll release on all consoles? Or will it be exclusive to the Xbox?
  3. True, but a lot of those parents grew up with video games, and even they are going to get confused by this. Plus, you gotta think of the grandparents too, because they're not going to know what the difference is. One way to solve this, is to put a cardboard sleeve over one of the versions. Maybe for the Xbox Series X version just to differentiate between the two.
  4. What are some good hunting games worth playing? I mostly see the stuff Cabella offers, but their newer games tend to be quite bad. I used to play one on the PS2 back in the day, but I don't recall which one it was. I know there are a lot of hunting games out there, but what would you consider to be the best of the best? What are some actually good ones worth playing though?
  5. On the contrary, multiple people won by doing this method in the past. I think the big thing is doing it later in the night or at a certain time. But I don't know if the time has anything to do with it really. I forget what site it was, but winners reported their wins with verified proof. So people win, but it's quite rare like any other prize program similar to this. And on the plus side, you don't even have to buy anything from Taco Bell to enter. I have entered those same codes daily for the past few days. They pick winners randomly, so you could enter one of the codes and boom, you're a winner. If I happen to win, which I doubt, I will for sure update this topic with the proof of it.
  6. Watched this earlier and felt I had to share. Do you remember using any of these controllers? I've used some, like the Powerglove for example. I only had the glove portion, and never figured how to get it to work. I idiotically cut the cord to wear as a glove when I played cops and robbers lol. Wish I didn't cut the cord on it though 😞 But oh well, can't go back in time to stop myself from doing so.
  7. Bad news, it looks like Sony has blocked this site from selling anymore of these PS5 faceplates. Supposedly they did not get licensing and all that to be able to sell these face plates in the first place. Once they do though, they can potentially sell these fine. This company had to cancel all the orders and refund all buyers. You can read more on this here - VGC They also had to change their site, Which I figured would happen eventually with it being so close to the PlayStation name. Their new site can be found below: https://www.customizemyplates.com/ I kind of disagree with Sony on this. These guys should be able to produce 3rd party peripherals for the console, including face plates. Does each 3rd party company have to get licencing and all that to product devices for said consoles? I always was under the impression that 3rd party companies could make their own peripherals as long as it doesn't use the same exact parts and designs.
  8. It would have to be a big discount imo. And they would have to figure out a way to make it where sand doesn't collect in the hinges and all that. But, if the product is well made and continues to get better with new updates, changes, it could be the future of mobile phones. But I just don't see it happening.
  9. Yeah I got that wrong. It's more of a spiritual successor to the True Crime series. Square Enix purchased the rights to it, but decided to not use the True Crime title and went with Sleeping Dogs instead.
  10. I tried this last year when they were doing a giveaway for the Xbox One X, but never won. Each day you can enter up to 3 codes a day. But you need codes from purchasing food at Taco Bell. But, there's good news on that, you don't need to spend money on Taco Bell to get a code. Taco Bell released 3 codes you can use every day to enter with. Here's the place to enter the giveaway: https://winxbox.com/ Here are the codes you can re-use each day: SX7YR97XYV96 SX7V936NBPP9 SX7NLYZNHCZ6 I found this tip here - Heavenly Steals
  11. Does anyone remember True Crime: Streets of LA? It was one of the newer competitors to GTA that released back in 2003. I loved the game, from the fun fighting, to the driving and shooting cars to cause them to go flying. Game was a true blast to play. They had a sequel called True Crime: Streets of NY as well, but it wasn't as good as LA. The cool thing with these games, is that they eventually became the Sleeping Dogs franchise. Or it was made by the same people.
  12. This sounds like it'd be a ton of fun! I guess we're getting a battle royale game in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. I haven't really played much of the series, but this sounds like a great idea. Vampires and battle royale! 😄 The thing I noticed, is that it's not from the same developers. It will be made by Sharkmob, and it's their debut game. So I hope it turns out to be good. You can read more about this news here - WCCFTECH
  13. They could have easily changed the case design a bit. Why not make it look like the series X logo, so an all black case with their logo? I think that would be dope and would match the new console. It would at least curb the confusion amongst consumers.
  14. Sometimes I take a break to take in the scope of the graphics. It's nice to go in and see a world that you might not be able to visit, but it's right there in front of you. Seeing the scope of the world helps a lot as well. Especially in games like Red Dead Redemption 2, and other games with expansive worlds that look stunning.
  15. Oh yeah, I played Black. I had a copy for the PS2 and I remember getting it with my birthday or Christmas money one year. Sadly I don't have that game anymore. I would love to pick up another copy of it soon. Haven't played it since it originally came out. Damn it's been a long time. I'll check out Project IGI. I didn't know there was a Black Hawk down game. Might have to check that one out too. And I'm always down for some DOOM. 😄
  16. Oh, I was under the impression it was like $50 or so. That's even better then. I still might wait for a deal to come along before picking it up. I'm a patient person. 😄 Anyway, I watched some more streams of it recently and I'm getting more interested in playing it now.
  17. Well this is only to do with one country or area, but, they could easily continue lootboxes in other countries that have not yet banned them/fined them for it. Eventually once more countries take notice and start to push EA more, we'll see less and less lootboxes.
  18. Has anyone here ever modded an original Xbox? I hear it's a great console to play modded games and even emulators. I hear there is an HDMI adapter to get 720p as well, so it's not a bad option for emulation and other means. If you have modded one, how was the process? Any suggestions on how to get started? I just got a used original xbox and don't plan to use it otherwise, so may as well modify it to be something I can use from time to time. 🙂
  19. What are some good alternatives to Call of Duty? I'd say Medal Of Honor, but I can't go back to FPS games back on the PS1. I can't even play Perfect Dark or Goldeneye without having some eye strain lol. Anyway, what are some alternatives to the Call of Duty franchise? I am not too fond of the Battlefield series, so I'd like to skip that. Any other suggestions would be fine though. 🙂 I'm mainly looking for games from past gen to current. So 360/PS3 to today. Maybe PS2/Xbox as well, as I used to love a lot of shooters on those consoles back in the day.
  20. I'm not one to really follow what Pachter says, as his predictions rarely come true, but I can kind of see this, but at a lower amount. His new prediction is that the PlayStation 5 will outsell the Xbox Series X by 5 million units a year. Do you think that will happen? I doubt it, as I suspect this generation is going to be much closer than last gen. Keep in mind, Xbox flubbed the launch of the Xbox One originally when they announced the DRM and always online stupidity, and that really caused them a lot of problems. I think that's why the PS4 did so well, because previous Xbox fans jumped over to Sony. Anyway, do you think the PS5 will sell over 5 million more units over the new Xbox? Or will the race be a lot closer? I think Microsoft has a slight edge with backwards compatibility and gamepass. But, Sony also has the exclusives right now. You can read about this story here - Playstationing And you can find the question and answer in Pachter's video below.
  21. Well, if it wasn't bad enough that consumers are confusing the Xbox One X for the Series X, the new game boxes may still cause more confusion. Tell me which one is the Xbox Series X and the Xbox One version? These game covers are going to cause some confusion. Here is what you're expected to get with each version. Xbox One version: Xbox Series X version: Here's an article talking about the confusion - Pure Xbox
  22. So it seems that this Black Friday is going to good. According to some sources, the Xbox and PlayStation consoles will be out for black friday shopping. How many will be available at each store is unknown, but expect these to sell out quite fast. You can view the Best Buy Black Friday Ad at the link below. Don't expect any sales on the new gen consoles though, they're still priced the same. Check out the Ad below. https://dailyvideogame.com/2020/10/best-buy-black-friday-ads-2020-revealed/
  23. I agree to some extent. I think for it to be a lifetime ban, it has to be from excessive hacking and abuse. I think if it's a one time thing, and they never did it again, I think that's fine, but if it's continued and after a warning or two it doesn't stop, ban them. I think temp bans have worked before, especially if they're week/month bans. I loved what Xbl did when people who broke the rules. They would ban them for a given time frame, so sometimes a week, a month, depends on the thing they did. But, I got a laugh out of the ones where they console ban someone until 2999 or 2099 or something like that.
  24. I'm familiar with it, but didn't play it much myself. That's cool that you made tournaments/championship events and stuff. That sounds like fun. A classic game I think people kind of forget, is RoboWarrior for the NES. I remember getting it from a thrift store when I was a kid, and I remember loving the cover art. I never played it for too long, as I couldn't get very far. It was kind of like bomberman, in that you needed to clear a path to get through the level and you have to use bombs to clear said path. But, there are enemies who are in your way and I thin some that can go through obstacles to get to you. idk, I need to replay it soon.
  25. Do you have any proof of the female streamers bit? Seems a bit far fetched to me. Not saying women can't hack or cheat like men, it's just that I don't really see it being a lot. Are you also implying that the majority of hackers/cheaters are female? I just don't see it.
