  1. Oh I believe it. I heard PUBG was pretty bad when it comes with cheaters and hackers. It's one reason I try not to play it. And I can see that with MMO games. if anything, any game featuring any online multiplayer tends to get hacked. I remember hating Modern Warfare 2 because it became a hacked mess and the devs barely lifted a hand to fix it. I used to report every hacker/cheater I saw on Xbox. ๐Ÿ˜„
  2. I'm not sure if anyone hear heard about this gaming toy, but if not, you might be blown away, kind of. Anyway, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is a new product from Nintendo where you get two RC cars that come with cameras mounted on top. You can play them like a race around your home. It's a really cool little device that the whole family can enjoy. I guess you can add more cars and can make your track however you want. Check the trailer out below Also the site - https://mklive.nintendo.com/
  3. Right now I think you can only mine it. You can't actually utilize it to my knowledge. At least not at the moment. Nice. I haven't extended my group or whatever you call it, so I'm not making much. If I invited more people my mine rate should go up I imagine. ๐Ÿ™‚ Right now I don't think you can use Pi yet. Currently I think we can mine it, but we can't take it our or do anything with it. At least not yet. But hopefully soon. I wonder how much it's all worth.
  4. Back in the day I would have said that Crash Bandicoot would be the mascot for the PlayStation, but sadly, he's owned by Activision and is on all consoles. So, who does PlayStation have? Rachet and Clank could be the mascots, and I feel that they were for a time. I can see Sly, but they haven't done a new game in the series in a while from what I see. But today, who or what would you say is the mascot now? I forgot about Kratos and Nathan Drake, they're key mascots for Sony. But who is the main one? Does Kratos win?
  5. Has anyone here played the game Renegade on the NES? I remember playing it when I was a kid. I actually got quite far in it as well. But when I recently played it, couldn't get into the controls at all. I always thought it was based off of a movie or something, but I guess not. For those who don't know what it is, it's a 2d beat em up, similar to Double Dragon. I mostly remember the subway level, which is pretty much where you start. But I don't recall it being on a blue floor. I remember it being mostly grey.
  6. lol right? They claim that video games are childish and waste of time, but they'll be reading a book, or watching that dumb reality tv show they love. It's so hypocritical of them when they claim we're the children.
  7. Uh oh, das not good. According to Gamespot here Xbox One X consoles are overheating while playing Watch Dogs: Legion. Some people must have received the game before the street release, which is tomorrow. It seems that Xbox One X consoles are shutting down at a certain point in the campaign. They are releasing a patch on the 30th to address this issue. No mention if this is occuring for other Xbox consoles. It seems to be the pre-release version as well.
  8. Has anyone here ever played Looney Tunes B-Ball? I got it years ago from the old video store here. Anyway, it's a Basketball game starring Looney Tune characters. I had no idea originally that they released a B-Ball game for Looney Tunes, but I'm glad they did, because it's a really fun game. Do you remember playing it?
  9. All Quotes below from @m76 To some extent yes. Some games gain more popularity because of streaming. As for playing music, that's a tad bit different, because you're not advertising the music like a streamer would a game. Among Us is like a murder mystery game. You can play a max of 10 players per game, there are crewmates and impostors. Impostors are tasked with killing the crewmate, and can also sabotage areas on the map. Once a body is found, you're brought into an emergency meeting, where each surviving players have to discuss who they think the impostors are. This game came out in 2018 without much fanfare. But, due to some streamers showcasing it recently, it blew up and now the dev is working on adding to the game again. Watch a stream of it if you can, it's pretty much made for streaming. I'm just going off of gameplay I've seen. People seem to really enjoy it though, so maybe it's a fine game. But my point still stands, it's helping these unknown games become a lot more popular. Developers know full well about it and happily go for it. Because it helps that game sell. Even so, bad games can be good depending on who the person is. Minecraft and Fall Guys are well made games that take minimal effort to get into. You may find them to be terrible games, that doesn't mean it's so. I've played a lot of games I thought to be bad, but a lot of people end up enjoying them. It's all subjective. One bad game, could be a fun time for a group of friends. As long as people enjoy it, who cares. And that's fine. Keep in mind though, a streamer can still stream a game, as long as they add commentary and make it transformative. What this means, is that they have to build upon the original content and add to it. Add their opinions, such as a review, or add their thoughts on the game, etc. That's considered fair use, since they're discussing it, making it transformative. I would understand if a streamer just streamed the entirety of a game without adding any commentary around it, but most streamers don't do this. Keep in mind though, that most developers and publishers want people to stream their games. It does help sell games a lot more than standard marketing does these days. And sure, some bad games might be in the mix, but that's to be expected. I have to disagree. Most streamers I've watched add a lot to the table, either it be from fan interaction, commentary, and free promotion of course. Streamers don't just sit there and play a game. If they did that, no one would be watching their streams.
  10. This article here - Daily Videogame has a slew of sales for popular Japanese made games. From the likes of Pokรฉmon Shield and Sword both getting deals, Jump Force, Dark Souls Remastered, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Judgement, and so much more. Some deals are for 40-50% off, with some going higher and lower. Get at these deals while you can. ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. Sure, you could play the original Tekken, or one of the sequels. Really any game that has some form of multiplayer, probably could be reverted into a possible esport game. You could say any fighter game from that time as well. Racing games too.
  12. Don't get me wrong, I do like Sonic as a character and have fond memories of the first few games, but that's where my memories mostly lie. I grew up playing the first three Sonic The Hedgehog games. I did not get to play many of the future games until Generations, which I enjoyed. But, from what I saw with Sonic 06, and the new sonic games, I kind of lost interest in the series. I love the original games and Generation, and I may even like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, but I haven't played those in a long time. How do you feel about the Sonic franchise. Are you happy with it today? Or do you hope SEGA gets someone else in there to work on it?
  13. Nice, I never saw or heard of that one. ๐Ÿ™‚ There was another VHS game I had a couple copies of, which was called Captain Power. The ones below were the ones I had. I know for sure I had the first one, and the second one, I'm not sure, but I had a second tape, so it might have been that one. I remember them specifically as I got them from a thrift store, but I didn't have the actual game to go with it.
  14. When it came to storing games, a lot of the time we'd get rid of the original case a game would come with. This happened a lot for Atari, NES, SNES, and other cart based games. Once games started coming in jewel cases, or other plastic cases, people started to keep the games right in those. But, how did you store games back then? For my CD/DVD based games on PC, I would just store all of my game discs in a CD binder. For cart based games, I didn't have many with the box, so most of them are just the cart and I stored them on a shelf with my cased games. Some have a plastic standard case, and others have the plastic Nintendo sleeve you get with the game. Did you ever have a binder of lose disc based games?
  15. EA knows exactly what they're doing when they throw these gambling mechanics in games. I don't understand how they can think they're free to do this. Lets face it, most people who play sports games, are young, so the change of them spending money on loot boxes is very real. As well, those loot boxes don't usually provide you with anything. It's gambling any way you put it. You can coat it with a bit of paint by calling it a "Surprise Mechanic", but it doesn't change the fact that it's promoting gambling and needs to be stopped. I honestly don't care if loot boxes exist, but only in the sense of the game world and where you can only use in game currency to get them. In game currency that is made in game by playing the game. Not from spending money. EA knows what they're doing is gambling, they just don't care because they think they can get away with it. Well, it's about time more countries jump on them like this.
  16. How does this sort of stuff keep happening on release dates for popular game? It looks like Ghostrunner doesn't look so hot on the PS4. The title is a little deceiving, as the article doesn't state the game is unplayable, but more that the graphics and textures aren't good. All the article says, is that there are reports of PS4 Pro owners having major visual issues with the game. Mostly the games textures look pixelated because of a resolution problem. There are also reports of gamers experiencing framerate issues and lag. It looks like games are getting too powerful for our current gen consoles. Soon enough it'll just be the new gen consoles getting all the good stuff. Read article here - Twisted Voxel
  17. Yeah, they clearly weren't ready to make it to this release window. Now we're waiting another month to get it, and who's to say it'll actually come out in December. They could always delay it until 2021. I hope it's ready for release this time, but if it happens again, I'm pulling my pre-order until I know full well it's coming out on a certain date.

    VR Chat

Does anyone here use the program/site VR Chat? It's like a community chat room in VR where you can use your own custom avatars. I've seen many videos of people playing the game and it looks like a ton of fun. Does anyone know if it's required to have a VR headset? Or could you jump in as an avatar and play with mouse/keyboard? I would love to give it a shot, but if I need VR, I won't be able to. ๐Ÿ˜ž Here's their site - https://hello.vrchat.com/
  19. Do you guys have any videos of cheaters in games getting caught cheating? I saw something on facebook recently where someone mad a mod for PUBG where people who hack are either tossed out of a car at a certain speed. And another hack was made where if the hacker/cheater tried to pick up a downed player, they would accidentally shoot the downed player. Here's the video: https://fb.watch/1n3g_qv6vN/
  20. This game is coming out tomorrow, who's picking it up? I just started downloading the demo for it, as it's currently available on steam. I figure if it's any good, I might buy it. I've seen it getting great reviews already. Gamespot gave it a 7, IGN gave it a good review, but I can't find any scores. Do they not do score ratings anymore? Techspot gave it an 85, and I saw another review on Facebook saying a 95, so the reviews are all over the place.
  21. Has anyone here played Surgeon Simulator 2? I hear it has multiplayer, or 4 player co-op where you can work together to perform surgery. I watched some gameplay, and it looks like a lot of fun, but also looks tough. I remember the first game being hugely popular for quite a while, and the second one seems to be doing quite well these days. Have you guys played the new one yet?
  22. Does anyone here collect any of those old VCR games from back in the day? I had a wrestling VCR game years ago, but I don't think I had all the parts and we tossed it. We did get it from an old thrift store, so you know you never end up getting all the parts when buying from one. Anyway, do you have any VCR games in your gaming collection? I'm thinking of starting to collect them when I do see them, as they seem to be pretty cheap. They're essentially board games that utilize a VHS tape to run the game. I think I had something like this:
  23. I'm getting a Far Cry vibe from the graphics. Not bad. I played a few of the Test Drive games, never played this one though. Looks pretty! I might have to check it out. A game I want to talk about today is Shadow of the Colossus. I have the PS2 version and still have the save file for it somewhere. I have like 8 more bosses to get through before I beat it. I'm considering getting the remastered version at some point. Did it come out for the PS4? If so I should get a PS4 soon. ๐Ÿ˜„ But yeah, this game was so huge for the PS2. The boss fights were some of the coolest I've ever seen. I wish I completed it on the PS2, but maybe one day I'll revisit it, or like I said, get the remastered version with probably better controls. I wish they made boss battles as cool as that these days.
  24. The difference is that most of the time someone streams a game, it helps sell that game even more. If you can get a famous twitch streamer streaming your game, that could potentially sell your game right there. It's partly why so many games become popular, like Among Us, which came out in 2018. Before that, it was just a forgotten game. But, people streaming it brought it back to life, literally. Without streamers showcasing it, no one would have ever given Among Us another look. The same can be said for that new ghost game Phasmophobia, which to me looks like a cheaply made game with low replay value, but people are streaming the hell out if it, in turn increasing the sales of the game. I get the point that it's the same as playing a movie, but in reality, it also sells the game in the process. Lets me honest, do you think Phasmophobia would be popular if no one was streaming it? Hell, I think if most video games stopped streaming, we would hear a lot less about them, especially the indie games that thrive because of streaming. I would understand if the streamer was just playing the game all the way through without any commentary. If it was just the whole game + story uninterrupted, than I believe that is wrong. But, I think for the most part, most people who stream, do help sell the games in the process.
  25. Maybe I need to utilize those share options more. I have a bunch of fun clips on Xbox live that I'd like to showcase one of these days. But I don't know if Facebook is really used much on Xbox. Unless I am missing something.
