I wouldn't mind an infinite storage inventory at all - it's such a pain having to pack so many things into different bags/storage containers to carry them.

People have been making jokes about this forever.

Like how you could just kill something and a chest full of gold would magically pop up in its place.  Or like, being able to keep and have access to a million different things at all times by just putting them in your "inventory."

Nope, lasest smartphones means going all out and spending $1200 if not more right? or buying one each year. Nope. I buy my own smartphone outright and then get a good sim deal. On that note you can pickup a good smartphone for far less price, Redmi Note Pro 10 is what I ahve and I like it for £250 with bells and tech that £900 phones doesn't have.

One thing that definitely was a glitch and not my fault was when my car was leaving pit road in NASCAR '11 The Game and with about 500 feet to go on pit road my car magically transfers itself from the pit lane to the track.  There's no way that was my fault.

I think its obviously kind of subjective.  There's a whole spectrum of "degrees of enjoyment of/time invested into video games."  But in general, I think that's really what it mostly boils down to:  The higher your level of enjoyment, and the more amount of time you choose to invest in video games, the more hardcore you are.  The less your level of enjoyment and amount of time you invest, the more casual you are (This is all assuming you're doing it for fun and not for some kind of job like being a video game tester).

It could go either way, but I think I'm generally inclined to think that since there is always a way to get through something, its my job to figure out what that way is (or figure out A way, if there's more than one).  To be honest though, there are many times when I spend time wondering if a game is doing something wrong or unfairly or not, or cheating me somehow.  Personally I think its not always clear.

My sentiments exactly - how is this going to make any difference? They'll encounter sexual content somewhere else because it's literally promoted everywhere. I also agree about the ratings system and parents need to guide their children properly. The problem we're encountering nowadays is that some parents aren't mature enough to be parents themselves and they blame everyone and everything else for raise their kids incorrectly.

I can sympathize with the concern women may have as being seen as objects, but to use the excuse about censoring sexuality to protect children is hypocritical. That basically says that skin is bad and killing is just fine. If you add more clothing, then you must subtract the violence. There are ratings in games for a reason and it is up to the parent to teach their children and decide what is appropriate for their own. Otherwise, what is the point of ratings. If you want to make a kid's game and show skin, then accept the fact that the game will get an adult rating. In return, the stores and the parents are responsible who buys adult rated games. They do that at the movie theatre. What the hell is the difference.

You're going to hate me for saying this, but I've had the same PS2 since I believe 2001.  I was a sophomore in high school when my parents got it for me.

Why would you want a Virtual Boy emulator? That like saying "I wish the health inspector would re-open that Deli down the street because I miss the diarrhoea."

Windows 10 has a compatibility feature. Failing that, there's always emulation.

Ahh... I played Terraria for quite a long time on the 360 in the past.  I would assume the Steam version comes with the same or similar kind of tutorial at the beginning.
Basically your ultimate objective is to find and kill the unspeakable horror at the bottom of the world.  Aside from that, there's no real objectives in the game.  Its what's called a sandbox game, like Minecraft (which I've never played by the way).  You go around and kill things and gather materials via cutting trees and digging.  lots and lots and lots of digging.  You can literally dig up anything and everything, and use it to build stuff.  You can build buildings and furniture and a bazillion kinds of things.  You can build a furnace and an anvil, smelt ore, and make all kinds of swords and armor and stuff.  You go around and find chests with various accessories and equipment in them that give you abilities like being able to climb, double jump, glide and other such things.  You can't really "beat" the game.  But you can explore a randomly generated world, get stronger by finding and making things, try to kill all the bosses, and get creative coming up with different kinds of things to build.

This is kind of what I was thinking.  It can be incredibly annoying when you're doing something really difficult (that involves dying and retrying over and over again) and you have to repeatedly watch a really long cutscene or two every time you die.

If any kind of thing has me in a bad mood or a state of anxiety, there's a few things I like to do.  I might go for a walk, and/or try to meditate (I really suck at this).  Watching a movie often makes me feel better, if I have the time.  Also, I really try NOT to do this, but admittedly, sometimes if I'm really upset, I like to get drunk.

Bro you hit the nail on the head! Literally came to this thread to post this. When I rented this gem from Blockbuster for the first time I always checked it out then eventually bought a copy. I love this game so so much.

I played Diablo like crazy, and this is the first I've heard it referred to as a Roguelike.  Even If it is, I'd say its missing some important roguelike traits.  I would suggest looking into other roguelike games.  The few I've played have been pretty challenging.  Losing progress and items when you die are definitely hallmark traits.

Steerminator got a reaction from Family sedan in RANT: Do you have friends that get WAY too upset about the difficulty they're having with a game?
So I'm basically venting my frustration here because I have nobody to really talk to about it in real life.  I always say that I don't really have any friends, but I actually do have one, but one who I can only tolerate in small doses.  The thing is, she has major anxiety problems (a thing she can't be faulted for), and I guess this carries over into the video game playing experience.  The thing is, I've dealt with people of this sort before, who get SO angry when bad things happen (i.e. they die a lot) in a video game and instead of acknowledging that maybe they just need more practice, they start complaining that the game is badly designed, is bad, unfair, too hard, or some other variation/combination of these things.  Or even instead of acknowledging anything at all, just remaining calm and not getting very visibly and audibly frustrated in my presence.  It really makes me extremely uncomfortable, and takes all the fun out of playing a game together for me.  I mean, the whole point of a game is to have fun, but with this kind of person, when they get like that, no matter how much you tell them to calm down and just relax and don't worry about how well you're performing, they just can't do it; they must continually yell at the game and complain about why its unfair and how "this shouldn't be this way" or "that shouldn't be that way" and inevitably, "I can't play this game anymore."  *sigh*
She's a huge Zelda fan, and she was having one of her fits while we were playing this other game, when she started talking about how this reminded her of the problem she had with Zelda a Link to the Past; that its way too hard because enemies knock you like halfway across the screen when they hit you and you fall and die (her words, not mine).  I tried to say that its only seems very difficult because she's not used to that style of game, (because she really isn't.  She grew up on Gamecube and stuff after that, and has very little experience playing 2D games), but she -insists- that its a design flaw and a problem with the game, to which I could only try to hide my frustration.  All I could really say was that "there's nothing wrong with the game, you're just not good enough."  Admittedly not the best choice of words, but if I had said, "there's nothing wrong with the game, you just need more practice is all." (which is what I really should have said), it would have basically conveyed the same message.  Anyway, I guess that's the end of my rant.  Sorry for subjecting you all to this.
