  1. I think Oblivion is my favourite (but Skyrim is awesome as well). I think I love Oblivion because its scope was so breathtaking when it came out back in 2006. The voice acting is excellent and the has some really notable actors (Sean Bean, Patrick Stewart etc). There's an arena quest which is really fantastic. Overall, the quests and writing was very memorable. The visuals and art-style is terrific as well. I'd be totally down for a remaster of Oblivion!
  2. A remake of the original Silent Hill or perhaps a new Aliens Vs Predator.
  3. I'm super pumped, man. I've been replaying Fallout 4 again in preparation. Can't wait!
  4. Purely from a hardware perspective, the Xbox One X is a beast and is undoubtedly more powerful than Sony's offering. But I'd actually opt for the PS4 Pro for one reason: Games. There's just not that much to play on Xbox One imho.
  5. My favourites so far are Heist and Blackout. Heist in particular is addictive as hell. What are your favourites?
  6. I can't remember that specifically and I played on PS3 as well. I know the PS3 is arguably the worst running version of Fallout NV and I definitely experienced moments of framerate dips. Maybe clear your cache on your PS3. That may help it run a bit smoother. Or perhaps delete a few saves. Too many save files can affect it, too.
  7. Aye, backwards compatibility. There's no reason for the next gen not to do it, either. The PC-centric nature of modern consoles means that the core architecture is going to be very similar.
  8. IIRC, it's possibly an upgrade that you can unlock for Joel in the skill-trees. I'm sure there's a defensive manoeuvre where you use a brick on an enemy if they grab you. Not sure if that's the same thing. It's been a while 🤔
  9. Hmm, good question. I find Ellie from The Last Of Us very likeable and a compelling character. She'd be handy to have around if things kicked off, but also has a warm, funny side, too. I'm also pretty enamoured with Nathan Drake. He's a cool dude who's also a whizz with his history so I'm sure he has a ton of interesting stories to tell.
  10. Great game for a great price. https://www.simplygames.com/p/sonic-mania-plus-xbox-one
  11. Great deal at Argos atm. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8370103?utm_campaign=11553376&cmpid=COJUN&cjsurferid=853604662430286180%3AguFDkyPXBzTr&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=Pepper+Deals+LTD&utm_source=CJ&cjevent=33cea6d8e02011e8808501230a180512&catalogId=10001&storeId=10151&_%24ja=tsid%3A11674|prd%3A1546795&utm_term=1453124&referredURL=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F8370103&referrer=COJUN
  12. Oh, and Dark Souls works wonderfully on Switch, too. Here's my review of it: https://wegotthiscovered.com/gaming/dark-souls-review-nintendo-switch-praise-fun/
  13. I've got a soft spot for those damn mud crabs in Skyrim. They look kinda cute in their own way. Always feel a bit bad when I take 'em down.
  14. Silent Hill 2? Silent Hill: Homecoming? Aliens vs. Predator? Just a few ideas:)
  15. Me too! The Switch would be the ideal place to play this, for sure.
  16. I'd be all over a Bioshock TV show/movie. The creepy world/atmosphere would be ideal for a big screen adaptation. Also, something like The Last Of Us or Dead Space would make a good fit for a movie/TV show.
  17. Sometimes just a screenshot displaying a game's unique art-style and aesthetics can be enough for me to buy a game. I remember importing Demon's Souls on PS3 just on a couple of screenshots alone, way before the whole Soulsborne zeitgeist took hold. I could tell from the handful of screenshots that it was something that really appealed to me. I wasn't disappointed.
  18. Aliens: Colonial Marines, No Man's Sky and The Order: 1886 (though it looked AMAZING).
  19. I've got mixed feelings, honestly. On one hand, you're absolutely right with what you said above. But then, games have evolved in mind-blowing ways (scope, size, graphics, online etc.) It's a great thought experiment. But, frankly, games right now have been the best they've ever been in many, many ways. Grr, I'm quite torn with this question!
  20. Cheap as chips. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/God-of-War-PS4-GD/283241217951
