  1. I played a game called ZUB on the Amstrad growing up. It was a pretty fun platformer/shooter with a rad soundtrack. The whole point of the game was that you had to travel through 7 worlds to find a special green eye to win the game. Funnily enough, when you get all the way to the end, the twist is, the special green eye was in your pocket all along. And you’re then tasked with trying to TRAVEL BACK THROUGH ALL 7 LEVELS! My 8 year old brain just couldn’t handle it.
  2. I usually opt for physical, but I own a lot of games that I've bought in digital sales.
  3. I'd just like to add, that - in general - games that try to be funny mostly fall flat. It's the games that are inadvertently funny that are super memorable.
  4. In the future, I foresee streaming/cloud computing take over traditional consoles. Perhaps gaming will be built into TVs we buy in the future. What do you reckon? Do you think there'll be a PS6 after the PS5?
  5. What movie would you like to be made into a video game? The Mist would make a cool horror game and I would love to see a well made Terminator video game. What do you think?
  6. I've put an asinine amount of time into COD, Skyrim, Fallout 3/4/NV, FTL and Dark Souls. I also love playing low-budget, classic RPGs like Bound By Flame, Arcania, The Technomancer, Risen 3 etc. If it's a fantasy RPG, I'll give it a go and put in a ton of hours into it!
  7. Pretty damn cheap, right? https://www.cdkeys.com/xbox-live/games/the-crew-xbox-one?mw_aref=74dth566
  8. Yeah, Theme Hospital and Theme Park are awesome games. Would love some kind of rerelease one day. Wasn't an indie dev having a crack at a new Theme Hospital-style game? Or did I dream that? Also, Transport Tycoon is dope as hell!
  9. Aye, you're right. I was more specifically talking about COD 5: World At War and COD: WW2 which are both focused on the second world war.
  10. What do you prefer if you had to choose? Historic war games (like COD: World at War, WW2 etc) or sci-fi games (like Dead Space, Alien: Infestation etc)?
  11. Easily Deadly Premonition. It essentially embraces its B-movie flavour/tone and makes it its own. The writing is incredible. Suffice to say, it’s also one of my favourite games ever.
  12. Ain't got an Xbox One atm 😞 Wanna get one again in the future (had to sell mine when I was broke a year or so ago). It all depends on my budget, but those Xbox One S models are pretty cheap. We'll see. *fingers crossed*
  13. Probably a wee bit out of my current price range unfortunately, but man, they sure look awesome.
  14. Cheapest I've seen it. https://www.cdkeys.com/catalog/product/view/id/1860?mw_aref=74dth566
  15. I teach autistic children in Primary school, as well as write reviews/news for a couple of entertainment websites (VGR and We Got This Covered).
  16. I guess Amazon buy it in such huge bulk, they get a significant discount and pass some of it onto the consumer. Everyone’s different, but for me, that’s a decent discount as I would’ve saved a few quid. I do occasionally buy game new at launch or pre-order games I really, really want (last game I bought at launch was God Of War on PS4, I think).
  17. About a week ago when I played the OG Black Ops on PS3. Nearly half the games in online MP are filled with aimbots and hackers 😫
  18. The Fallout games, The Last Of Us and Telltale’s The Walking Dead are all games that come to mind as they really try to toy with your morality and ethics. Life Is Strange and Before The Storm also made me put down the controller a few times so that I could think about the decisions the game was asking me to make.
  19. Getting brand new $60 games for $48 is a hell of a deal. The $10 credit thing Amazon do now is a pretty good deal, too. Don't think they offer it in the UK as far as I can tell.
  20. How much were they OOC? What's the sound like?
  21. If you fancy getting your nostalgia on, this may be the deal for you! RIISE FROM YOUR GWAVE! https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/sega-mega-drive-classics/sega-mega-drive-classics-ps4/p/166057
  22. Just in time for Halloween! It’s time to return to Camp Crystal Lake! https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/friday-the-13th-the-game/c0723xb6xjsx?irgwc=1&OCID=AID681541_aff_7794_1246483&tduid=(ir__1bkk3badczw3llotzj3xwfajcu2xkt31z9qlx0bi00)(7794)(1246483)((243e31f7cd53b000b709e36e07eee4d5)(266696)(1018132)(1625324185)())(243e31f7cd53b000b709e36e07eee4d5)&irclickid=_1bkk3badczw3llotzj3xwfajcu2xkt31z9qlx0bi00#activetab=pivot:overviewtab
  23. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion blew my mind when I played it back in the day. When you step out from the sewers at the beginning and see this massive open-world to explore... it was just, wow. Definitely felt super revolutionary for me.
  24. Indies for PS3, huh? Here goes: Limbo, Journey, Flow, Flower, Rain, Super Stardust HD, Braid, Spelunky, Hotline Miami 1 & 2, Lone Survivor, Child Of Light, Minecraft and Fez. Hope that helps!
