  1. Superb list, Alyxx. I've seen all of those except the Twin Peaks flick (I've seen a few episodes but none of the movies). I used to love Eraserhead as a kid. Such a weird movie. The Thing is legit one of my personal faves. You seen The Void yet? That's very John Carpenter/The Thing-esque.

I really enjoyed it. I think there are definite horror elements in there. Kept me entertained until the rather anti-climactic ending. Some great acting in there too from Sandra Bullock and John Malkovich.
  3. Supposed to be a decent little indie horror title. https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/White-Night-1376798.html?awc=12777_1549103405_60b73a1b74399e9954df38e99a13192a&affil=awin&utm_source=AWIN&utm_medium=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.digidip.net%2F&utm_campaign=05009g9ddncn&utm _content=Discount+Code
  4. 1986 I think. I was around 4 years old when I first played Pac Man and Dizzy on Amstrad.
  5. Depends on the game. Some games give me a chill vibe (like FTL or Pixel Junk Monsters), some make me a little angry (COD) and some are nostalgic (Silent Hill, Fallout 76). Every game gives me a slightly different feeling/mood.
  6. That’s a lot of bang for ya buck. https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/fallout-4-game-of-the-year-edition-pc-steam-cd-key
  7. Aye, that’s BS. Not a good look. Will probably hurt the game’s overall PC sales.
  8. Favourite book/books of all time?
  9. Pretty sure Warframe has a big following on PS4. It’s a F2P arena third-person action title. Can play online without PS Plus, too.
  10. A Fallout title set in the Soviet Union or China would be interesting. Would be cool to flesh out the historical lore of the other parts of the globe after the bombs fell. Plus, the music could be classic russian or chinese 20s/30s pop music. That’d be v different tonally.
  11. May be only a limited time thing so go for it asap. Sean Bean narrates it which sounds cool. https://store.steampowered.com/app/343710/Kholat/
  12. To celebrate Chinese New Year Ubi are giving away a game to PC players till Feb 5th. https://store.ubi.com/uk/assassin-s-creed--chronicles--china/56c4947f88a7e300458b4682.html?ncid=287-3---1-aflt-38-58-UbisoftStore_Affiliation--1-4--1216-4----UBISOFT_WC___UbisoftStore_Affiliation_ID39009_440825
  13. When the battle royale comes out next year this’ll definitely have a second life. https://www.cdkeys.com/xbox-live/games/battlefield-5-deluxe-edition-xbox-one-cd-key?mw_aref=74dth566
  14. I quite like the weird puzzles in the Silent Hill games. Also LIMBO and INSIDE have some clever ones. It’s a tricky balance to nail, for sure. Puzzles that can get too frustrating can be a bit of a turn off.
  15. I reviewed Resident Evil 2 recently and absolutely loved it:- https://wegotthiscovered.com/gaming/resident-evil-2-review/ Anyone else excited?
  16. I didn’t “ignore” your positive criticisms. I just didn’t feel the need to comment on *everything* you wrote. I think as I’m getting older I just don’t feel the need to be “snide” about stuff. There’s so much negativity in our gaming industry - and the world as a whole - that I don’t feel the need to add to it. So, I tend to skew a lot more postively than many other gamers out there. I think we’re just very different people with different outlooks on things. I’m an optimist and like to see the good in things rather than wasting my energy focusing on the bad (when it comes to games I haven’t played). It’s all good, though. You be you. And I’ll be me. The fact you said it could be good says it all really. That was my original message.
  17. Don’t worry, I don’t think that was a personal attack. I just don’t like being super negative about a game that isn’t out yet. You feel very strongly that it’ll be rubbish and that’s fine; your always entitled to your opinion. Like I said, it could be a good mobile game. It could surprise us. I for one am hoping it’s a fun horror experience starring one of cinema’s coolest creations: the xenomorph. Finger crossed, eh?
  18. Terrific games with an addictive shoot/loot gameplay loop. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/3815876?utm_campaign=11553376&cmpid=COJUN&cjsurferid=851904762072293627%3A7Qol.STVB1_X&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=Pepper+Deals+LTD&utm_source=CJ&cjevent=1f306f04175811e982c703050a180510&catalogId=10001&storeId=10151&_%24ja=tsid%3A11674|prd%3A1546795&utm_term=1453124&referredURL=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fproduct%2F3815876&referrer=COJUN&krypto=E4I%2BwigqkZgOO7Ev6hUW%2FPjk57uOhnzDYXnSB9y9Wsu3pbeC0H8rhu3VB7Sbiu%2BxUiF%2BRZx%2BlBaP 9R93rqagMg%3D%3D
  19. Good price for a classic game! https://www.simplygames.com/p/shadow-of-the-colossus-ps4
  20. I genuinely think it could make a good mobile game, for sure.
  21. Writing 🤞🏼
  22. I’ll just leave this here: https://uk.ign.com/articles/2019/01/11/alien-blackout-hands-on-dont-panic-a-its-fun
  23. Thanks for the heads up. Will deffo look into this.
  24. Aye, Dark Souls is an apt comparison. I played it back on PS3 as well. Put about 10 hours into it but it didn’t click with me. Still, I’m willing to give it a second shot. I do love playing RPGs on the go.
