I used to adore Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2, Theme Hospital, DOOM, Transport Tycoon, Theme Park and Duke Nukem 3D on my ol’ PC growing up. Also the Football Manager games used to be my cup of tea as I was also into football back then. Great memories!

Joel willing to protect what he loves at all costs is one of the reasons I think I most relate to him, honestly. I know If I was in Joel's shoes, I'd feel conflicted and super guilty for lying, though. And I think that theme is explored quite overtly. I appreciate your perspective - there's a lot of layers story-wise which is why I hold it in such high regard. TL:DR I can't really fault him, either.

I’ve played Fieldrunners a while back on iPad and I thought it was a decent tower defense game. Pretty sure they’re quite popular as there’s a ton of sequels. Not played it for a while, though.

Apparently the PS4 has a very high software attach rate, which means those who own a PS4 own a lot of games. As I review a lot of games I have a *ton* of digital titles. In all, I have about 300 games on the PS4 and only about 10% of them are physical. On the Switch I have around 35 games and eight of them are physical. How about you? Do you buy more digital games these days? Or are you more interested in physical-only games?

Super Mario Bros 2 is my favourite platformer. Don’t get me wrong, I adore Super Mario Bros 1, 3 and World as well. There’s just something joyful and nostalgic about 2 that really resonates with me. I remember as a kid being absolutely floored by how diverse and varied the worlds and mechanics were compared to the original SMB. Felt like a big step forward.

Aye, it's unfortunate for Xbox One and Switch owners atm. Hopefully they'll announce ports to those consoles later on down the pipeline. All else fails, PS4s are pretty cheap and have an extensive library of awesome exclusive games...maybe pick one up in a sale? Just an idea!

I've heard so many great things about these classic CRPG Baldur's Gate games. Thing is, I've never actually played one yet, mainly because I didn't have a good enough PC to play it back in the day. You’re right. I agree that the fireflys’ option still wasn’t a 100% guaranteed going to work, but the selfishness comes from the fact that it was Ellie’s choice and not Joel’s. Joel lies to her. Ellie would’ve sacrificed herself for the chance for a vaccine because she’s full of hope for the future. But Joel took that choice away from her by lying at the end.

I've played both the first season and the short 3-part 'Before The Storm' prequel series. The first season in particular is excellent with some fantastic writing, some super impactful emotional highs and some great voice-work. The prequel series is solid stuff but doesn't quite reach the level of the first season. That said, if you're a fan of the first season, you'll enjoy the prequel series. Not played the latest season yet, though, so can't weigh in on it. If you're a fan of narrative-focused adventure games, you're likely to really enjoy it. Hope that helps!
