I agree completely. I love the challenge of seeing your character slowly becoming more powerful to the point they are unstoppable.

Personally, I find first-person style games are the most immersive gaming experiences mainly because that viewpoint feels like it puts me more into the protagonist's shoes. Not knocking third-person and other perspective style games, of course. Just find first-person games a wee bit more immersive.

I try and read as much as I can because I adore reading. Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park/Sphere), Kurt Vonnegut (Slaughterhouse 5), Stephen King (The Shining, The Mist) and Alex Garland (The Beach) are some of my favourite modern authors and novels. Some older stuff like Jane Eyre, Macbeth and The Catcher In The Rye are classics, too. Gaming-wise, I do like reading IGN, VGR, WGTC, N4G and Bloody Disgusting. Reading is awesome and it really helps your writing as well.

I really like VATS and think it’s a nice blend of real-time/turn-based mechanics. Definitely took me a bit to get used to it, but I really enjoy it now and find it to be a unique aspect of the combat in the Fallout universe.

Guess I'll have to wait a little bit. This is slightly too expensive for me... But I agree, it's currently the best price out there.

Brilliant game! I think I have to prepare myself mentally though because I played the game at a female friend's house a few weeks back and the only reason I didn't let go a high-pitch scream is that my voice is way too deep for that.

I am starting get the mixed reviews. I have seen some people giving the positive reviews. And then there are some who absolutely hated it. I think due to the isolations expectations people tend to have different expectations for this game. And it showed in what they given in the rating for the review in such case. I'd say it was well made but the everyone have their own opinion.

I doubt I even have 5 physical games - the rest are all digital. I think I'm going to start playing my 3DS because there is no point in letting a good machine go to waste.

It's all good man but Bethesda getting what they deserve for being greedy and hurriedly launching the game when they knew the game had obvious issues. They should take a page out of Rockstar's book and actually take the time to develop their game.

I've gone for headphones as they're usually a wee bit more comfortable and also generally have better sound quality.

I wish they'd make more games with captivating stories like this instead of these dull games with practically no story and gimmicky gameplay.

DylanC reacted to Alyxx in What's the point in believing in God?
I can only give my own personal reason for my faith in all honesty. I know there are Christians out there who use God as an excuse to do pretty bad things, but I do not consider myself among them.
For me believing in God helps me feel like we have a purpose in this world, that we were not put here by random chance. It helps me feel like we are part of something greater than us, and that all this hate that so-called religious people spread really doesn't matter.
To me God is a force of good that lives in all of us, and we have our choice whether we want to be guided by God or not. It's not about reading the bible, going to church and focusing on how people love each other being wrong.
It's about being good, plain and simple. And that's what believing in God is to me. Believing that there is something good in all of us, regardless of who we are, regardless of our colour, gender, sexual preference and so on.
I never really try to force my faith on others, I want people to choose for themselves how they want to see the world. Because you cannot make someone believe in God, it has to come from within yourself. It's not something you're told, it's something you feel, something you just know.
That's why it's a bit difficult for me to properly express why I believe in God. I just kinda do because I feel it so strongly.
I've been told that I'm not a true Christian, but personally I don't really care how other people define Christianity. This is how I choose to define it because it makes my world a better place.

Aye, it's unfortunate for Xbox One and Switch owners atm. Hopefully they'll announce ports to those consoles later on down the pipeline. All else fails, PS4s are pretty cheap and have an extensive library of awesome exclusive games...maybe pick one up in a sale? Just an idea!

I agree. It takes a genius to make such a simple thing so impactful and the thing about it as ell is that Pac-Man's concept can be copied but will never have the appeal as the original.

I've played both the first season and the short 3-part 'Before The Storm' prequel series. The first season in particular is excellent with some fantastic writing, some super impactful emotional highs and some great voice-work. The prequel series is solid stuff but doesn't quite reach the level of the first season. That said, if you're a fan of the first season, you'll enjoy the prequel series. Not played the latest season yet, though, so can't weigh in on it. If you're a fan of narrative-focused adventure games, you're likely to really enjoy it. Hope that helps!
