I think these studios are relieved they're not with Square Enix anymore. It seems SE is going full on with NFT and blockchain BS. I'd be very worried if I was a fan of Square Enix. Hopefully the new tomb raider won't have always online requirements for their new game.

I've had the PS 1 -4. It's been my favorite console.Now,fuck 'em. Always online for the new Gran Turismo , The doubling of their sub service I was on. 70 dollar games. I'm in the US so there's not a price increase but it's just shitty.I'm having fun with my PS 4 and pc but IDK what/if my next console will be.I'm at a bit of a crossroads with gaming now. PC parts are overpriced and Sony pulls this bullshit.I'll be using my PS4 and my PC for a good while.Christ you gotta be pretty bad if you make Microsoft look good by comparison.Sony is getting too greedy lately. VERY generally: UNIX was invented in 1969. Linux was invented and was partially based on UNIX. DOS was (pre windows 95) windows.Parts of UNIX were free but Linux is fully free. You used to have to pay for Windows. I'd suggest going to wikipedia and check out UNIX, Linux, and DOS. Even if you're not tech savvy you can learn some stuff by reading the articles on them. You'll probably learn some stuff you hadn't known before. There are and were some seriously smart people in all 3.Some parts of that tech are still in use from that time,albeit they're updated to modern specs. If you're a tech geek like me this stuff is awesome.

I didn't watch the main video and seldom watch that hack Dr. Phil. I'm not a perfect parent at all but if that was my kid His console would be taken away and he'd be pulling weeds in the yard for a few hours every day for a while . The important thing is it's worthless parenting. And the kid didn't just start that shit at the age of 12. He was allowed to do this type of shit from about the age of 2.I've seen this kind of worthless parenting and it's ALWAYS the parent's fault. Kids' job is to try getting away with everytrhing and it's the parents job to discipline their kids and not allow a kid to run their household.Your kids aren't your friends.They're your kids.Make them listen .

I was thinking you guys and gals were maybe being unfair to older games because of their older tech. Then I saw the Veronica video and changed my mind. That game looks like it's a ps1 game.Duck hunt had better weapon handling. None of the guns even have a reticle! It was so bad I couldn't help but watch the whole 28 minute video.The actual game is longer than 30 minutes though right? Just hilariously awful. My worst game I've played is from Atari called you are empty. I got it for PC when gamestop had pc games on disc.My PC exceeded the requirements but it would crash often during the first screen before the game even started. I was able to play it a bit and it was sorta cool but the game would just crash almost all the time.It was so bad I didn't even bother bringing it back to gamestop. I bought it for under 10 bux.I still have the disc and box for it and it's so bad I had to keep it. I think I've seen more doors in that 26 minute video of Veronica than I have in over 40 years of gaming. Just awful.

Then I thought they must have just a shitload of stuff I may not really be interested in.So I did a Yahoo search for video game forums and VGR was one of them. It might be just me but it seems general gaming topics are sorta hard for me to find.I've been here a while and still get confused.I'm sorry I can't describe exactly what it is.And it may be my mediocre internet but sometimes trying to post, the text cursor doesn't show up and I'm unable to type anything. I don't have that problem with other sites but I eventually get it to work. I've been on forums for quite a few years and the search for this site is easily the best I've tried. I only put in a few words of the thread into the search and boom there it is.You have politics properly in a different section so that helps inclusivity.I've had a good time here.

First I thought I was too old to understand NFT/blockchain.Then I thought maybe I'm too dumb to understand NFT"s/crypto.Now I realize I was wrong on both counts and NFT"s /crypto is just a scam.I have really enjoyed the last 3 Tomb Raider games and a couple of the Deus ex games were fun too.I'm glad they got away from Squeenix.If they go hard into crypto they will eventually come down hard.They have some dumbasses in high places at Squeenix.

I've only had my PS4 for 2-3 years and been having a blast.There is a difference because I don't think MS or Sony had the kinds of parts problem going from one gen to the next. 2025 will be PS4's 12th birthday so that's a long time for tech.And it may not be 3090 performance but Miles Morales looks freaking gorgeous on my 55 inch tv @ about 6 feet away.It will be quite a while before I start wanting a PS5.I game on PC too so that helps I guess.

Stacy the only thing I could recommend is a wrist pad thing.My wrists were fine for 30 years playing drums and guitar then within days of getting my first real computer I started getting carpal tunnel syndrome. Now I mostly play games with my steam controller instead of mouse and keyboard. It seems like this sponsored product will help but the ergonomics of typing/computer use are just incredibly bad.

I'm looking forward to Stalker 2 and Stray looks neat. I'll eventually get Horizon forbidden west eventually on ps 4 too. EDIT: forbidden west is already out.

I personally won't get one. I've been a drummer and guitarist for 40 years so I use my Steam controller 99% of the time to save on my wrists.It's cool though for sure.
