Last game I played again was Fortnite. Played a few solo games the other day to try and get another win but no luck yet. I did see that Hot Wheels is available on Game Pass though so I am hoping to find some time to play that.

The games I used to love to play that were from movies are the Harry Potter games. I remember I used to sit and play them for hours they were so enjoyable and I am super eager to be able to play Hogwarts Legacy when I can get it. I remember playing so many Harry Potter games from as early as PS2 up until Xbox 360 and even the Lego Harry Potter games I enjoyed a lot as well.

I didn't even know they were releasing a Super Mario Bros movie. I remember the one with Bob Hoskins but I never really fully enjoyed that one and I feel it was because it was not animated so didn't feel the same. This one looks like a movie I would watch and enjoy with it being animated. My kids would also enjoy this movie as well.

Yes, games years ago would make more sense to do speed runs on as it was always you had so many lives and once they were gone that was it you had to start again. This would have made speed runs more fun to watch as well due to the risk of having to start again. Now speed runs can work but they don't have that risk of losing it all and having to completely start again.

Many people who pre-ordered the deluxe edition ended up getting it 3 days early on the 7th. I have watched a few people playing it but haven't watched it for long as I do not want the game spoiled. I am hoping to get it myself soon when I can afford it and I am super excited t play it. So far many people are happy with the game so that is always a good sign.

Just had a look on the Play Store and found it. Installing it as I type this to give it a try and see what it is like. I always like to have games on my phone for times when you need them such as if traveling, maybe waiting for appointments or even if say your internet goes out. Seems like the kind of game I would enjoy.

I never actually tried it on PC myself. I only tried it on Xbox and as much as it was good, it was never very accurate and could be frustrating to find enough space for it to even work, it seemed like you needed way too much space and being that most people have their consoles in a living room, that would have caused a problem. I am curious now though just how much better it was on PC over the Xbox. I wonder if it was anymore accurate?

That would be interesting. We have something similar over here in the UK called Family Fortunes and again, it's random surveys that are used for the game. Something like that would be awesome to be involved with and with it being random surveys, that is one way to combat any kind of cheating as well keeping the game fun and interesting.

Got to give Xbox props for that, they do try to include all gamers with all different needs for their console. I love how they even do what they can to make gaming accessible for all even with disabilities. I know at least two people who are disabled, one of them who I met on Mixer and now is a big streamer on Facebook, Nomad plays Xbox with his face and also SightlessKombat who I also met on Mixer and now streams on Twitch is blind and he plays. Being able to see things like that and knowing that Xbox have made it possible for them to do that is amazing.

Yeah when I heard they had canceled split screen after so long it was quite a shock. Many people especially on a game like Halo would love to still be able to sit and split screen with their friends. Like you say it's some of the fondest memories and split screen in Halo would bring back some serious memories. I really feel like them canceling split screen was a bad move on their part.

This is very true. Some people get addicted to achievement hunting and if they are having fun doing that then that is understandable. If it becomes more like a chore to be hunting for achievements and you are finding yourself getting bored and not having fun, that would be the time to look at why you are doing it and whether you should continue. I know for a while it was like a trend for people to achievement hunt and everyone would compare gamerscores. Nowadays it's not quite as popular.

That would make sense. If they were releasing consoles so quickly and not even working on the consoles or bringing anything else to the table with the consoles they already had released, it's understandable that they would flop. Not many people will jump on a console that wouldn't have such a big life expectancy only to then find out they were releasing another one so soon after, many would see it as a waste of money to keep putting money into something the developers were not all that interested in working on.

This is very true. The market for consoles that are different colors or even as you say translucent would probably be geared more towards kids than adults. Some adults may buy them but most would want to keep to the basic colors for the purpose of it fitting in with their other technology.

That's the first time I heard about a dongle that plugs into your PC but I can see how that would work. We already have these kinds of things from Amazon and Roku with their Firestick and Roku has their own version of that as well so it would definitely work to put games on your TV to make it more easily accessible for all. Improving the cloud definitely seems like the better option and then seriously getting onto making it more available for all.

Yeah many people do have high hopes for Xbox this year and it would be expected being all the companies they have bought out. I would definitely say that 2024 is the year that will be a make or break for them. If there is nothing by then after say 2 years of them buying out the companies they have then there probably will not be anything and that is going to be a shame being Xbox seemed to have a lot of plans.

Safe to say future consoles won't have physical media/disc drives?
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
With the way most companies are pushing digital over physical now it definitely seems like that is what we will see happen. It may not happen for quite a few years yet but over that time, companies will more than likely push digital out more and more so that people are ready for when that happens. -
I am very much hooked on Team Rumble on Fortnite at the moment with the Deku Smash when I have the time so I have been playing a lot of that just recently. I was hoping to get Hogwarts Legacy when that releases and would more than likely move over to that but I will have to see if I am able to snag it on release first.

GoldenEye 007 is finally coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch
Shortie replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
It would seem that Rare are who own Goldeneye 007 and with Microsoft now owning Rare that means that Microsoft now own Goldeneye 007. Now I know Goldeneye 007 was made by Rare for Nintendo as it was released on the Nintendo 64 and it was published by Nintendo. It could be that because it was published by Nintendo even though Microsoft own Rare now, Nintendo could still have some rights and that could be why multiplayer is not on the Xbox but is on Nintendo. -
This is understandable, I am the same like to be able to take in the game and go through it and follow it rather than speed run through it. Some people speedrun through games just because they can and also for entertainment purposes as well. I have seen many streamers and YouTubers do it in the past and it does seem to get some attention. I guess if they have played through the game once at normal pace and then gone to do it again and again to try and beat their completion time I can understand the interest around it.

I am not sure why there hasn't been a new Deadpool game to be honest, could be something to do with Disney owning it now but it did get me thinking. Epic Games have done many cross overs and one of them was with Deadpool and they have also worked with Ryan Reynolds for other crossovers as well. I wonder if there ever was a chance of another Deadpool game, whether Epic Games would be interested in taking it or even if they could come up with an agreement with Disney? Would be interesting to see.

If you could make any movie a video game, what would it be?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
I remember one Saw game and that was the first one, I remember playing that one and as much as I did enjoy playing it, it wasn't what I expected from a Saw game. I didn't know they made a sequel though which usually if the game is really good, you have usually heard about it. -
What has been your favorite Call of Duty map to date?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
Yeah I will admit, Atlas Superstore did seem more like a warehouse from what I remember. It wasn't one of my favorite maps though and I tolerated it more than anything to be honest when I played on that map. -
That is definitely a good thing. The more positive feedback they get after something like that will make it easier for them to be interested if they do at any point choose to release a sequel to the game.

What do you think is the worst pay to win video game?
Shortie replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
A lot of it is impatience and not wanting to go through the game and do it the long way so they throw money in the game to get it done quicker. Game developers know this and know people will be impatient and instead want to get there quicker so they offer these options and know they will make something out of it. I will admit I have got frustrated at how long it's taken to get somewhere in a game but if that is the case, I leave it rather than pay to get there, but there are people that would willingly pay without issue. -
Of course! How did I not click and realize that! I am pretty sure as long as you have access to Play Store on your device you will be able to get Minecraft on that device so that would be an even easier way to get it and know that it would be up to date and not have to worry 🙂
