  1. Okay, so I spend around 8 hours a day for listening to podcasts - I do with while I work. I'm always on the hunt for new ones, because believe it or not I do run out. So I thought I'd make a topic, maybe I'd be able to steal some Podcasts to listen to... Generally like Survivor related, or True Crime, or general mind blowing non-fiction. Such as (my list is...) Rob Had A Podcast Serial Survivor Historians Brink of Reality This American Life 48 Hours The Daily Zeitgeist Daniel and Jorge Explain The Universe The End Of The World with Josh Clark Stuff You Should Know Stuff They Don't Want You To Know Atlanta Monster Happy Face Thinking Sideways Unresolved Casefile Australian True Crime All Aussie Mystery Hour True Crime Sisters (though, I'm starting to get very bored of this one.) Behind The Bastards ..There's definitely more.
  2. I have many along the same theme. The amount of time I'd be stuck on a game for about a week, then wake up early on a Saturday morning and clock the bit and go on a run was insane. I must have been constantly sub-consciously distracted as a kid - but I always got there. So yeah, my memory is sitting in a quiet house where everyone else is asleep and feeling so damn accomplished because, well, I finally did it.
  3. Okay. I'm kind of digging this idea. The only wrestling game I ever played was when I was like 9 - and it lead to friends of mine and I starting our own backyard federation and beating the snot out of each other. 🤣 Is John Hennigan/Johnny Nitro/Johnny Mundo/The Friday Night Delight/The Monday Night Delight/The Shaman of Sexy/The Wednesday Night Delight/Johnny Impact/John Morrison/Johnny Blaze/Johnny Spade/Johnny Ultra/The Ambassador of Abdominals/The George Bushy of Tushy/The Ambassador of Abdominals/Prince of Parkour/The Maharaja of Manliness/AB-raham Lincoln/Guru of Greatness in it?
  4. I did my first every digital download the other day! It was okay, I guess. It's something new to get ym head around. Frankly once I get used to it though I think it could be the better way to do things. No need to worry about storage, damaging discs etc. Count me in for digital. I never thought I'd say that though.
  5. I played the first one, and had no idea there was a second. Was the second one on Wii or something? Playing the first one, when it came out, I honestly didn't think it was that great. Surprised they kept the franchise going.
  6. I'm playing The Sims as we speak and saving basically either when I'm leaving the game or when something cool happens. I fear I'll lose interest completely if I need to endure a pregnancy, get a promotion or grow old/up again.
  7. I wanna try Transport Tycoon, sounds lit. Honestly, not too sure on the Theme Hospital-style game front. Maybe, I don't keep up so much with gaming news. All I know is I'm content with my GOG version.
  8. Nothing online! As I don't game online, ever. But I remember my buddies and I were like 13 and playing GTA III and we used to go around killing a specific type of person only (Which, we called Squeezies) until we got busted or wasted. We also kept a kill count. The squeezies were guys in a purple tux...Who resemble the guy in this ad, which was huge at the time (so 2002): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDbREzB870A Don't judge. We were kids.
  9. Oh my God. Digimon in general was bomb. I think it is so quinessentially 2001-2003ish that it's the best by default. I think Theme Park World and Diablo I need a remaster badly.
  10. ^You gave away your N64? The greatest console of all time. Like, gave away...For free!? Oh man, enjoy living with that. As for me, I only have my N64 (unlike demon_skeith :P)...And that's all I need.
  11. It's available on GOG. I have had it for about a year. It's as fantastic as I remember it in like 1997! I also love Theme Park. I've been actively looking for it, so if anyone finds it LMK. I'm a tycoon game fan. I'd actually argue they are probably the most interesting games to me in general.
  12. The only one I can think of, embarrassing as this is - I kind of took up skating as a teen due to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. 😛 This made me a few friends, I've had some falling outs and haven't skated in about as decade (probably more...Actually definitely more.) So, I guess that had an impact at one point.
  13. I don't use any for gaming. I use some for Podcasts at work though. 😛 But seriously, to me headphones are headphones are headphones. I'd probably just pick up whatever. No Beatz here, I know myself and am too woke for that.
  14. Wow. Your primary career sounds rewarding as! You side gig is cool and all too. But teaching in any capacity is great. I'm a primary education degree university drop out 😛 That sounds...Stressful. Are the suicide rates in Spain of people jumping in front of trains big? It happens a lot here, to the point train driving is considered and paid as high risk work.
  15. Mine is a bit lame, but whatever. It is what it is. Playing Retail Tycoon on Roblox with my daughter last year we built this major department store. Raking in the millions, no skipping steps, no payments, no cheats. We tried to load it one day, somehow it'd been deleted. I kind of call conspiracy though - I think Roblox weren't happy we'd maxed everything out organically rather than buying their stupid short cuts.
  16. Absolutely. Just look at the sub-Reddit. They are still releasing expansions. I'd recommend you play it. Or I'm just saying that because it is my childhood.
  17. I've said it before, I'll say it again and @Alyxx will agree. The Curse of Monkey Island.
  18. Well, now that I'm onto the Sims 3 - that. Brb. See y'all in 8 years.
  19. Okay, so the point of this thread is to explore what songs will stand up to the test of time, and be classics in 2030, after having been released in 2010 - or similar years. I'd say only three or four spring to mind for me... Wake Me Up - Avicii F You - Cee Lo Green Dynamite - Taio Cruz Love The Way You Lie - Eminem/Rihanna
  20. I thought this'd be a fun topic! A bit of a getting to know you. I'm a forklift driver primarily. I do the night shift in a warehouse kind of environment. It's pretty tight.
  21. So today I had a real hankering to play The Sims. Like the old school Sims. Like, from the year 2000. Predictably that wasn't available through legal channels so I went with the oldest one I could find, The Sims 3. I've only had an hour of play time so far but predictably I'm so hooked already! No expansions yet, but so excited. Oh, by the way. This is my first ever digital download!
  22. Eh, depends on how much you personally value things. To me, that really just tells me that the true RRP (regardless of capitalist consensus) is highly likely much less than $48 but they've decided they can probably get away with $48-$60 rendering them winners by a crazy large margin in the long run. I used to work for a major retailer, here and was privy to many of the inner workings of these things. Some things that look like great deals to people with no scope on the numbers...Well, let's just say those same people would probably be shocked on the mark up and movement of the product.
  23. Police find woman dead, man with serious injuries at Endeavour Hills home A WOMAN is dead and a man has been arrested after police were called to a home in Endeavour Hills, in Melbourne’s southeast, about 9pm yesterday. The woman, 22, has not been formally identified. A man, also 22, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later discharged into police custody. He is expected to be questioned today but no charges have been laid. Definitely wondering what happened here. 😞 So young, both of them...Just kids.
  24. During my hiatus the probably one game I used to play with a friend of mine was called House Of The Dead: Overkill It was a Zombie-Apocalyse kind of game. And damn hilarious. Warning though, it did have a lot of cussing.
  25. I would say for me it was kind of organically. My older brothers (10 and 12 years older respectively) were gamers and I used to play with them - to be honest I think I learned how to game from them and games that they had bought. So it's just a thing that in a way I guess I grew up around.
