  1. I have Friday the 13th on NES and Warlock on SNES, and enjoy the hell out of both of them. But like I said, I'm not super into those kinds of games. I'll give anything a chance though.
  2. Probably not, as the term "rockstar" is a fairly generic term, that means many different things. No one can copyright a name like that, simply because it's such a generic term. They can copyright their logos, and things like that. But unless it's something truly unique (Microsoft for example) I wouldn't bet on it. Bon Jovi is a rockstar. A meteor is a rock star. A hard shit is a rock star dipped in hot sauce with razor blades and broken glass sticking out of it. So them both being named "rockstar" is almost definitely just pure coincidence.
  3. Controllers are one of the easiest things to fix. I've repaired them all, from Atari 2600 all the way up to PS4 and Xbox One. Most people don't think of cleaning the lens when their CD player quits reading discs. They just immediately think it's broken, so they bring it to me to fix it.
  4. The Power Glove is only useful to little kids who want to pretend to be astronauts.
  5. But at least I can take solace in the fact that
  6. What can I say? I'm a bitch. And now I'm an OLD bitch.
  7. The golden rule is wrong. Treat others the way they treat you. That should be what the golden rule says.
  8. Ok, I understand your point now. I really wish we could tell voice tone on a forum. it would prevent so many misunderstandings like this. If I offended you, I do apologize.
  9. So you're saying that just because I want my voice to be feminine on my videos, I'm being fraudulent in an attempt to hide my real voice?
  10. I took 2 years of electronics, so I have a decent background on this sort of thing. But I'm never repairing another stereo as long as I live. I've done so many of them I could do it in my sleep, and I hate doing them. Also, finding the resistors and transistors for them is almost impossible now that electronic component stores like Radio Shack are gone. So I have had a good reason to tell people to piss off when they've asked me to fix their stereo. But some still have me on retainer. And you know what the biggest problem is? A dirty lens. I clean that in 5 seconds. Keep it for a day. Give it back and I get $50. I tell them the problem was the lens, and that it should be fine now. But I tell them no more than that.
  11. This one is....... I don't even know what to call it. But I'm giving my stamp of approval:
  12. I have 2 CIB systems saved. One is an NES, and the other is a Sears Video Arcade II. So I have a couple.
  13. I'm an astronomy nut (or astronophile as I call myself) but this game just seems rather strange to me. But it's somewhat unique, so it gets a welcome from me.
  14. Careful. You're starting an unfounded attack and offering no proof of any kind. If you have to attack someone in this fashion either do it in the political debate forum, or do it somewhere else. Also, stay on topic. This is directed at both of you @Reality vs Adventure and @Empire. Duke it out in the debate forum.
  15. If you're into this kind of thing, you would be better off going with Bitcoin or Etherum. Something of that nature. Cryptocurrency is a booming industry, and this new NFT shit is not only more unstable, but also insulting.
  16. As soon as that multi-platform contract runs out, Microsoft won't renew it, and the games that were being released on other platforms will then become Xbox exclusives. We're already seeing it with some AAA titles. We're not going to see another Elder Scrolls game on anything other than Xbox and PC since Microsoft owns Bethesda. But putting that aside, I think this whole situation is going to be split pretty evenly down the middle between gamers. Some liking it, the rest not liking it. Personally, I'm not a fan of the whole thing. It just means so many games will eventually at some point be Xbox/PC exclusive. That may be fine to the majority, but I'm not a PC gamer, and I've never liked Xbox. That opinion is just a biased disapproval though and completely irrelevant. But like I said before, Microsoft is going to get as close to a monopoly as they legally can, and they won't stop buying up developers until they've reached that point.
  17. It could be a hobby, and you could probably make a few bucks doing it.
  18. These days, no I don't. In the old days, yes I did. But they got lost over time somewhere. I wish I knew what happened to them.
  19. No one is going to be giving away a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S for free. I see scams like this all the time on the DW, and some are pretty convincing. The people down there are skilled con artists. One even tried to lure me in. But I refuse to trust unless you can prove something in person, so I didn't fall for it.
  20. They're not hurting financially in any way. They're trying to be innovative. They've been pioneers in the video gaming industry since the early 1980's. The hardware of the Switch, while compact, isn't much behind the PS4 and Xbox One, assuming it is at all. It still plays some of the biggest games that they do. Skyrim, Witcher 3, Assassins Creed, and a plethora of others. So while they console is smaller, it's no less powerful. With their earlier systems, they never really had much competition. Sega was their first competitor, and, while it did ok, it never reached the level Nintendo was on. After that PlayStation came out. In the beginning they weren't a match for the N64. But they got some titles that were exclusive to them, some of which Nintendo had had for every previous entry (Final Fantasy) and their popularity took off. Then Microsoft entered the gaming world with the Xbox. Gaming started moving forward at an accelerated speed that was unexpected. So Nintendo is on par with its competition. It's just going on a bit of a different path with its consoles.
  21. A lot of them are losing value. But the original ones from the 70's and 80's are holding their value. A rare few, if they're mint condition are slightly gaining value. But they're not worth their weight in gold. Pretty much anyone with the space and a little bit of disposable income could afford one.
