  1. Oh yeah. It's mine. I just hope it gets released on more than Xbox like the first one did.

I mean, having a game where the protagonist has the same mental disorders that the gamer has? I couldn't pass the first one up, for that and many other reasons. the person here who introduced me to the game knows about that.

But considering the she and I are both schizophrenic (I also have other issues) the game meant more to me than it did to a lot of people.

Even without saying that, it's very obvious that you're one hell of a gamer, for you to have such number of games only on NES, SNES, and N64 games.

Some would call it a severe case of OCD, others (like you) would praise it. And in case anyone is wondering I have played every single game down there, and beaten the vast majority of them. Off the top of my head the only one I can think of that I have yet to beat is Legacy Of The Wizard on NES. I've talked about it before. 30 years playing that god damn game and I still haven't beaten the bastard. The fucking crowns are impossible to find. I'm a hairs breath away from saying "screw it" and plugging it in with a Game Genie. I use the Game Genie on a lot of my games anyway, but I use it to cripple myself in some way so that the games are more challenging. LOTW would be one case where I would power myself up.

  3. We all do it in at least one game. We just have this drive to collect everything, do every side quest, hunt every animal. But which games do you do it in? I'm a completionist in FF8, Castlevania SOTN, and RDR2. In FF8 I always have to try to collect at least one of every item. There's 18 pages to hold your items in your inventory screen, and so far I've only filled the first 15. So I have a lot of items left to find. In Castlevania, I have done that one. Every single item that can be collected, I have gotten them. It's not difficult, just tedious at times. Some enemies just don't want to give up the item you're after. In RDR2, I want to get every animal identified, and almost all of them hunted. The only ones I won't hunt and kill are the rats. But I'll still study them so they're in my compendium. Anything else is fair game for a bullet.

So what game(s) do you just have to completely do absolutely everything in?

Nice, you must have a decent collection going. Do you ever have plans to put them on a shelf? Or are you going to keep them in bins for easier access?

That's just the NES, SNES, and N64 games. I don't have any of my PlayStation games down there or any of my Xbox games down there. I don't have my Sega, Atari, or Game Boy games down there. I know one bin says Game Boy on it, but that's just accessories. All my Switch games are in a case, most of which are DDL's. As a matter of fact I have 116 DDL's on my Switch. But I have in total over 1000 games in my collection, spanning several systems. Some that are somewhat rare like Ducktales 2 and TMNT Tournament Fighters on NES. I also have Secret Of Mana on SNES. I'm saving what up and plan on getting a quality authentic copy of Little Samson when I can afford it. If I ever decide I want to play it, I'll get a repro.

It's been steadily growing over the last 20 or so years. But needless to say, my collection is enormous.

My name sounds so hilarious, just as it implies, meaning head of all Hunters lmao. I adopted the name playing many hunters games especially Cabela's Big game Hunter made in 1998.

I remember that one. The cinematic scenes that you were supposed to take your shot at were atrocious. Deer Hunter was better, and it was full on animation. One game that was really fun was Deer Avenger. That one was absolutely hilarious.

I'm really at lost for words on what to say for you having been in this situation far too long and there is nothing that could be done about it.

When I'm at a loss for words, there's something I've said for a long time:

Good for you or fuck you, whichever you prefer.

The chair is a pain in the ass (sometimes literally) but it's life. Luckily it's a power chair, so I don't have to try to find strength that I don't have to get around. The only downside is that if it's raining or snowing, then I'm locked in the house. If this thing gets wet, the controls will be destroyed and it becomes a several thousand dollar lawn decoration. So to clean the wheels and whatnot, I have to use compressed air. Which means I had to buy a small air compressor.

    Sucks.

It's the game testers that would actually get influenced especially by playing out so many games as their job entails, it may screw their interest in some games.

Yeah, but I was part of a crew that created games for various systems. We never really made a profit, we just did it to have something different to play. I was the one termed "thinker" because they loved the shit I was able to think up. This twisted mind in my head can come up with shit like no one else. If you think Poop Slinger is a twisted game, you haven't seen anything yet.

And YES Poop Slinger is a real game. I know it's on PS4, but I don't know if it's on any other systems.

  8. The reason it's so hard to find one right now pretty much comes down to Covid. The pandemic hit everything so hard, that there is a microchip shortage, so they are only able to make a few at a time. Far less than normal, so the supply is scarce. You have to be fast and have the money ready to get one. The PS4 wasn't nearly this bad when it came out. Nor was the Xbox One. Previous systems weren't either. But we weren't in a pandemic when they came out. The only thing you can do is either be lucky or patient. Aside from that, you're simply going to have to do without.

  9. To be honest, I would prefer a remaster of RDR and a release on PS4. It would be fun to pick up where RDR2 leaves off and continue on as John in the same graphics as RDR2.

But as for what I anticipate, I have to agree that a remaster of some of the more popular GTA games would take priority. Bully I don't see it happening. I had it for the PS2, and as I recall, it wasn't particularly all that popular. So I don't see anyone taking the time to remaster it.

Have you been living under a rock? He has no short supply of enablers and democracy is now a 'backsliding' democracy because of him and the republican party. This is no longer about hating trump. He is a real threat to democracy. Is Russia in a full blown war for Putin to remain in office for another 20-30 years? No; democracy dies when you no longer respect elections and use the law to make it harder for certain populations to vote and just have fake elections. Yes he is a destroyer of democracy and along with his enablers. What does it take for people to get it? But you are right. I will calm down. Matter of fact I won't get involved with political discussions anymore. I've said my peace. The world would rather remain passive and live in ignorant bliss.

You know what? I'm going to follow suit, and bow out of the discussions on this board if they're political or religious. Unless someone directs a comment or question to me, I'm going to leave this board for everyone else. It's for the best that I stay out of this one.

My brother actually says that he find the game very challenging for him and I can't seem to know why. Maybe it's because he's not used to playing open world games.

Maybe I've just played it so much that I don't get a lot of challenge anymore. I know exactly how to go about catching a wild horse, and where the 3 wild Arabians are. I know where a lot of treasure is, and can find a lot of gold bars. I know which guns are best for hunting. I know where to find all the animals to get the hides needed for the Legend Of The East satchel. There's honestly not a lot that I don't know. The usefulness of some of the items in the game is something that eludes me however.

Video games aren't made casual or easy unless the gamer uses his or her hand to change difficulty to a very low and easy difficulty before it can be said to be easy via gameplay.

Try to justify that to those of us that are 80's kids.

It's more like having a default chair set up already as a result of your health situations but it's nothing to worry about as long as you're comfortable gaming sitting in it.

I've been in this damn thing so long, that I've reached a point to where I'm more comfortable in it that just about any other kind of chair. I mean I'm in it all day, so I better have accustomed to it. Sad as that is to say. Going by what I see in his profile, if the date @DC is shown to have "signed up" for the forum is the day it was built, then I've been in this bastard since before this forum existed.

  14. I kinda don't have an option and just game from my wheel chair. But depending on where and how your gaming setup is, also if you're a console or PC gamer, you could always try a recliner. I've seen people who have recliners in their offices at their computers. Or an easy chair and ottoman. Maybe I'm older than I realize, but a rocking chair always worked for me.
