  1. If it's something that you truly don't have the ability to complete, and finish, then I think there should be a way to skip it. But it should be after a minimum number of tries, then at the gamers discretion. Lets say there's a particular gunfight in RDR2, that's part of the story line. You can't advance the game until you escape that fight alive. But no matter how many times you try, you simply can't do it. You take cover, you use health tonics, you have enough ammo for the weapons you're carrying. But you just can't beat that one part. Then there should be an option to skip it. This is the reason I quit playing Guitar Hero. I think it was GH3. There was a point that you had to battle an AI guitar opponent. It was the only way to advance. Well I got mine used, and even though it had the manual, nothing told me how you were supposed to beat this one. This one was different from the previous ones which were slouches. I tried a million times, and could never beat it. So I simply said "fuck this", put the controller down, and never played it again. But then again, I wasn't the biggest fan of either the Wii or the game franchise either. Not to mention that the damn guitar is right handed.
  2. This would be daily for me. I'm arguing with myself about which to hook up next. My N64 or my NES. I want to play both of them, but the small TV I keep by my PC setup for gaming can only take one at a time. At the moment, my SNES has been hooked up for a long ass time, and I've been playing and replaying Zelda for the most part. But it's time to make a change. I might go for my Atari 2600, or Sega Genesis, but it's not likely. And for those wondering, none of this is that worthless, vomit inducing flashback bullshit. These are the real systems. Not the emulator boxes that only LOOK like the systems.
  3. Dante's Inferno is an amazing game. I got it on PS3 when it came out, because it just looked completely badass, and I was right. I never knew it was on PSP, however. Hell I even named the macaw I used to have Dante's Inferno. We just called him Dante though. But back to the game, I'm almost willing to guarantee that you will love it if you haven't played it.
  4. Like the title says, things like PS5 and Xbox Series X/S aren't viable answers for this. PC is also not a viable answer for this question. Personally I have a Switch, PS4, and Xbox One, so I can't answer this. But for those who don't, which would you want the most? Why do you want that one? Are you like me, and want it for only on single game? Are you a loyalist to that console? Are you wanting it because it just has some awesome game exclusives? Or is there another reason?
  5. I don't know where you're from, but you could try Craigslist. That's where I got my Switch Lite. I got it like new, and for half the price a brand new one would have cost. I've never had a single issue with it. I put a 512g card in it, have 113 DDL's on it, and like 30 games on carts. A lot of them are multi game carts. So I would definitely recommend looking there.
  6. I was pretty good when I was younger. I could cut and bank pretty well for a novice. I enjoyed shooting pool whenever I had the time and couldn't think of anything better to do. But as it sits, my pool table hasn't been used in years. Which is probably when it sits in the basement at @Rain Dew's parents house.
  7. Is that your reason for the rules for these contests? Instead of bidding we have to post? Naughty @DC! No cookie for you! Now go sit in the corner and think about what you have done.
  8. Artificial Intelligence would be a requirement for this. The car would have to be able to think, and then decide whether to take over the drive, or to let the person behind the wheel continue to drive. Think something like the movie Demolition Man. Or cars would have to be fully unmanned as far as a driver goes, and you just program the address in to where you want to go, and it takes you there. But once again, that's fiction at our current level of technology. It may not be for much longer, but at this current moment, it is. There are so many variables that could influence a valid, trustworthy reading on the BAC of the driver, that I don't see any of this truly being effective any time soon. If ever.
  9. At the moment I'm typing this, and I'm using USD, Bitcoin is worth $69,100 per coin. $100 is 0.0016 Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency is more of a pain in the ass to me than anything else. Also I don't trust it. I can't put my finger on exactly why at the moment, but my gut just tells me "don't go there."
  10. The money thing in my post was an analogy. It wasn't meant to be taken literally.
  11. It was worth it to me. I've had no regrets and the bonuses are great. I got exactly what I ordered, on time, and it all went smooth as silk.
  12. In my almost 40 years on this planet, I have preordered one game. I won't say I had a bad experience, because I didn't. I only preordered because the edition I wanted had tons of exclusives only available in a preorder exclusive version of the game. The game was For Honor: Gold Edition. it was preorder only, and had so much extra to offer.
  13. I never took martial arts, (except Judo in bootcamp) but I taught myself to use a persons momentum against them. Throwing someone off balance, without throwing a punch or kick, tends to bring out what I call "stupid anger". It causes them to kick their own ass by screwing up their attacks and hurting themselves in the process. You never have to strike them, because they do it for you. But then there are some of us who strike when they are at their most vulnerable, myself included. There are no rules in a fight. Only in a tournament.
  14. Only an idiot believes anything without proof, religion being the only exception. If you're stupid enough to believe anything without being given rock solid proof, then you deserve being duped and being taken advantage of. Go ahead and "loan" $10 to a crackhead you've never met, he'll give you $20 next week.
  15. I have for a very long time honestly preferred coin to paper. If I need money I always take out a roll of dollar coins from the bank instead of hitting the ATM for a $20 bill. Unless I need cash and the bank is closed. But preferably, I would like to see the US do away with paper money and move entirely to coin. But that's the fantastical dream of a madwoman.
  16. That could be an idea, the issue there is that, just because a person bought the alcohol, it doesn't mean that they drank any of it at the time. If I go out and buy a gallon of whiskey and a 12pack of beer, but don't hit any of it when I get home, should I not be able to go anywhere for 24 hours, just because I spent $40 at a liquor store? The only way I can think that this would work (at least right now) is if they installed something that checked your blood, like a diabetes test. A drop of blood scanned for intoxication levels. Until that's done, the car won't start. But then, that also doesn't have an affect for people who are stoned, because things like that aren't found in your blood, unless you mainline it.
  17. Gold certificates haven't been used since the Lindbergh baby was kidnapped. Roosevelt issued an order that all Gold certificates still in circulation had to be turned in, in exchange for a federal reserve note. They thought that would be a better way to catch the kidnapper. All that aside, they printed silver certificates after that for a couple decades. Those held their value fairly well, as they were backed by silver. The federal reserve note that we use today, isn't really backed by anything, which is why it's continuing to steadily lose its value. Most countries won't even accept the American dollar, simply because of how worthless it is. It's (in all fact) one of the least valuable currencies in the world. The US has a large stockpile of precious metals like gold, silver, palladium, platinum and others. just knock on the door at Fort Knox. But the government is hoarding it instead of using it for the country. They have been for 200 years. I wear 2 rings that are white gold. Very simple bands, one that I had my birthstone mounted on. Together, they might be worth $50. And that's if I'm lucky, or find someone completely stupid. It's a reason I invest in silver. I'm collecting silver rounds and silver bars as we speak. I would invest in gold, but it's just way too far out of my price range. So despite being deathly allergic to is, I buy silver. As long as I don't touch it, I'm fine.
  18. I think you're missing the point. The word "myth" means that it is false. That it has no basis to be considered anything more than bullshit. People believed in (and still do) these Gods and Goddesses long before xtianity ever existed. yet the myths of xtianity are always depicted by the vast majority as factual and actual events. Whereas the events of the Gods that i worship, are nothing more than a joke. And by dismissing it the way you are, you're passively calling it bullshit as well. I won't tolerate that.
  19. First off, DO NOT CALL IT MYTH. You people need to learn something. Just because you don't believe in it that *DOES NOT* mean it's mythological. There are and were people who worshiped these Gods, long before the invention of christianity. Why don't you see how you feel after this: "jesus, a mythical god of the christian religion, was said to ascend to a heaven-like state after death in christian mythology." Does that work for you? No? Then take your heads out of your asses, and drop this prejudice bullshit. I pay homage to the ancient Gods of Greece. But until you all quit calling them myth, I'm not going to explain or educate you on anything.
  20. Yeah, I use it for the same reason. If a title intrigues me, I add it to my wishlist so that I don't completely forget about it. Then when it goes on sale I have the option of buying it at a discounted price. It's well worth it to me. I honestly don't see a reason to not use it.
