  1. I'm thinking Battletoads on NES. Either that or Gods on SNES.
  2. Legacy Of The Wizard on NES. That one is a serious kick to every god damn sense in the human fucking body. The world is so damn expansive, you WILL get lost quickly. I've only ever found 1 crown, and I've been playing it for over 25 years. I'm never gonna kill that fucking dragon. As for hard as hell, and beat I would have to say it's a tie between 3. Street Fighter 2010 (NES), DKC2 (SNES), and Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64). Each one of them was a bitch to get through, but at the same time a blast to get through. With the possible exception of DKC2. I've grown to hate the entire DKC series.
  3. I doubt it will be backwards compatible at all. The PS4 isn't and they had a hell of a time with the PS3. The early releases of the PS3 were full backwards compatible, but PS2 games caused it to overheat, and often burn out the CPU. So they were forced to rerelease it with only PS1 compatibility. They forsook the reverse play on the PS4, so I fully see them doing the same with the PS5.
  4. The styles of living. Education was taking over above religious condemnation. The arts were becoming more appreciated. Some of the best came from the Renaissance. Shakespeare wrote during the Renaissance, and the greatest mind in human history was alive and created his works in the Renaissance. Leonardo da Vinci. Also Michelangelo was creating around the same time. People were slowly getting past the feudal societies, and growing up. The gothic style architecture was becoming more used. I honestly can't think of anything specific that I don't love about the period. The KC RenFest is my favorite thing that I look forward to every year. I usually get a hotel room right near the fairgrounds and go all day Friday through Sunday.
  5. I enjoy crafting. It gets upgrades to items and powerups. It's a fun and amusing way to kill some time.
  6. I know. FF8 is my absolute favorite of the entire series. personally I hated FF7 and FF9. I thought 7 just sucked all around, and 9 was just too damn cartooney to me. if I wanted to play a cartoon game, then I would put a cartoon game in.
  7. I have one. They're nice and all, but they fight you when trying to play a 4K disc. The technology has a lot of bugs that need to be worked out. It's fine for Blu-ray and DVD, but you're most likely going to be returning it and exchanging it several times before you give up and settle , like I did. Occasionally you can get the 4K to work, but it's a lot of fighting. It's like a monkey fucking a football.
  8. The renaissance. I love the time period.
  9. I'm playing Zelda: A link To the Past as we speak.
  10. Hexen on N64 is a possible one. It seems that almost no one knows about it, and the ones that do thought it was stupid. But me being a fantasy nut, I loved it. But then Blaster Master also falls into that category as well. It's a virtually unknown game. And the ones I've shown it to said that it made no sense and looked like a total waste of time. One that I also enjoy the hell out of, that wasn't too popular just due to its difficulty is Zelda 2: The Adventure Of Link. A lot of people hated it just because it was so hard. It's become somewhat of a cult classic these days among classic gamers, and old geezers like me. It actually does seem like I'm the oldest one here. A lot of people said Banjo Kazooie was the dumbest kids game ever invented, but I love it as well.
  11. We saw La Llorona tonight. I'm going to be going back to see it several times. The movie was flat out fucking awesome. In my opinion everyone needs to see it. It's more than worth the price of the ticket. I would be willing to pawn shit for ticket money. It's that good.
  12. Considering that cheaper guides ran typically $20+ they made quite a bit of money. Collectors editions were obviously more expensive. Bradygames and Versus Books are/were the biggest 2 guide publishers that I'm familiar with.
  13. One of them for me would by Friday The 13th on NES. It bombed hard with both movie fans and gamers, but I love it. Also it's been my understanding that FF8 wasn't exactly popular. Off the top of my head that's all I can think of. I'll check my game list tomorrow when I get up and maybe I'll be able to come up with a couple others.
  14. I had a special Japanese edition fighters controller for the SNES. It was specially designed for games like Mortal Kombat and whatnot. I also still have the Assassins Creed edition PSP somewhere around here.
  15. I lost interest in South Park when they brought in PC Principal, and made it a storyline instead of random episodes. The Simpsons has been going for 30 years so unless the writers all quit I don't see it ending any time soon. Hell even Matt Groening quit the show several years ago. Family guy started going downhill in season 13 when they did the Simpsons crossover. The most recent season (16) was the worst season ever. The only redeemable episode is the one where Stewie reveals his real voice. The rest was pure shit. The only reason I'm going to buy season 17 is in the hopes that the writers pull their heads out of their asses, and just to complete the collection. When I was a fan of Big Bang I was buying every season. Now I'm just buying them to finish the series. Call it an OCD thing.
  16. I was gonna say Big Bang and Walking Dead both. I used to be a fan of both of them, but after a while it got to be the same damn thing, over, and over, and over. If one original thing would just happen, then maybe the shows would be worth watching. American Idol and Dancing With The Stars are 2 others that need to die. But the number one show that needs to die and be forgotten is Keeping Up With The Kardashitans (yes that T is supposed to be there). I am so sick of seeing them EVERYWHERE. I can't pick up a magazine, or flip through the guide on my TV without having to weed through 50 articles or episodes about them. Either kill them or kill me.
  17. I have the guides for several games that I bought when I was younger. A few different Final Fantasy games, Zelda OoT & Majora, DK64 (that one's not mine though), and a few random assorted others. They're handy to have if you're not all that familiar with a game, and just fun to read if you are.
  18. I fucking hate autocorrect. That Halloween should have been HALF. That 2 pounds should have been OF not IF.
  19. Either way, I like how I'm set. it may cost a few more bucks, but that doesn't bother me all that much.
  20. Because this is the path I decided on without outside opinions.
  21. A dozen biscuits & gravy. 2 pounds if crispy fried bacon 6 scrambled eggs, 6 eggs over easy, and a halloween a loaf of white bread toast. To wash it all down would be a full gallon of milk.
  22. In my opinion it's more or less in the same boat as cosplay. I'm not into it personally. But for those that are, as long as they're not hurting anyone by doing it, then more power to them.
  23. 2 days from not. The Curse of La Llorona. I've been dying to see it since the first trailer.
  24. Those little hard hate assholes in Mega Man. They don't seem like anything at first, just level art. Then when you get close to one, it pops up, shoots a few rounds, then runs at you so damn fast you don't usually have time to react. bastards.
