I still play on cartridges and discs. And I'm not referring to current gen systems. I'm talking about Atari/NES/SNES/ N64/ PS1/PS3/ GBASP etc. I'm a classic gamer. But none of that flashback bullshit. I play the real god damn thing. And I have an enormous library of games, if you include all the games I have, including current gen systems. Well this is just for the systems I play. I'm not including my Game Cube, Wii, PS2, or Xbox 360 games, as I don't play those anymore.

I write a lot too. As it is, I've finished two full length novels, several short stories, and a hell of a lot of unconventional poetry.

The title says it all. What about games in second person? Granted there aren't a lot, but if you've played certain racing games you know what it is. First person has you in the drivers seat looking through the drivers eyes. Third person has you out behind the car watching it. But second has you in a spot like you're riding on top of the car. Like I said, there aren't a lot of games that offer a second person perspective, but for the games that do, what is the thought of them? I think it's an interesting option, but can't say I've played enough games with the option to really have an opinion.

We had to put Bean Dip down last night. He was completely unable to use his hind legs from what we were told. So we cut our St. Louis vacation short and came home early. I haven’t spoken or been able to form a single thought in my head. But this one is worse than when we lost Gypsy. With Bean, it was a conscious decision made to intentionally kill him.
I don’t know when or even if at this point I will be back. Losing Gypsy was extremely devastating. The role that we played in losing Bean Dip, was more than my mind has been able to handle. By the time my girl came out from the vet office, I had my .357 in my chin, and was starting to squeeze the trigger. She got to me first and wrestled the gun away from me. I wish she hadn't. I wanted to go with Bean. I still do. I just can't think at the moment. We had him since he was a puppy. He was around 11 years old. I remember crying uncontrollably the whole way home from St. Louis, but nothing else.
So this is definitely a temporary goodbye, and potentially a permanent goodbye. I don't know at the moment. Obviously the YouTube channel is on hiatus for now, assuming it ever starts up again.

@ShaggerThat mod adds more realism than people will realize. If you've never either been a hunter or in the military, then typically you won't realize how a real firearm is handled. You don't walk around with it pointed straight out in front of you EVER. That WILL get someone killed. If you trip you will instinctively tighten your grip on whatever weapon you have in your hands, and even if it's on safe, nothing is fool proof. And if you're stupid enough to not have the weapon on safe until you get to your destination, then you have no business looking at it, let alone handling it. I sold a couple of my rifles a few years back, and predominantly only have handguns now. Aside from my revolver, none are fire ready. I keep the clips full, but never chamber a round unless I'm about to pull the trigger.
More often than not, hunters do hold their rifle to the side like that. Others prefer to hold it resting on their shoulder. You have better control holding it to the side with both hands in my opinion, but you need to go with what's more natural and comfortable for you because you will have better control over where your weapon is aimed.
But to get back to the game, that's a great mod
 
@Crazycrab That's a bit of an unfair statement. The reverse of that has to fall under that as well. Why would any sane person avoid first person games because of the perspective? Some like the one, but not the other. I see it a lot like VR games where a headset is required. That's first person, but many of us have no interest in it. When it's all based on opinion, you can't call one preference insane without the other one eventually being called insane as well.
Like I said, I'm not the biggest fan of first person perspective. But I have played a couple semi-enjoyable games. However I have no intention of getting any on purpose, such as Fallout or Doom.

I don't have a problem with people buying/selling/trading here. But when that's their first post, it pisses me off. I don't care what they're peddling. They just want revenue and don't give 2 shits about contributing to a forum. If this was someone that we all knew like @skyfire or @DylanC or @killamch89 or someone, then I would be all over it asking for items. But some dickhead making only that one post is bullshit.

A couple you might try are Mahluk and Iron Maiden: Legacy Of The Beast. I have them both, and they're pretty fun. The best one about the second game is that you get to listen to Iron Maiden through the game.

iPhone and iPad are the only thing Apple makes that anyone wants. Their computer attempts are pure shit, and the iPod was a joke. Still, I prefer an iPhone over android. I had nothing but problems with the android I had, and it wasn't even able to be personalized. And it was one of the newer ones. So after having it for 2 weeks I went back to the store and got another iPhone.

For the most part, I agree with you. It’s all overpriced junk. But my disagreement all boils down individual preference. I’ve had both androids and iPhone’s. The only productive use I’ve found for android would be target practice. I think it was last spring that my iPhone 5 finally quit. So I went in for a new phone and got a brand new iPhone 6s for about $200. The iPhone X was the new one at the time, but was more than $1200, and that’s for the cheaper ones. The 6s does everything the X does, minus a pointless few things. Such as multiple camera lenses.
But since it does everything I want it to, I saw no valid point in paying the extortionist price for the “latest and greatest” overpriced piece of shit. I swear, these days Apple could sandwich a turd between a plastic back and screen, and people would still go nuts for it. But the same goes for android as well.

It wasn't registering my finger when I tried to use it. I would try to open an app or play a game, and it wouldn't register it. It just got to a point that it pissed me off so bad that I grabbed my whiskey bottle and smashed it.

I was able to play just the first few minutes of it, so I don't know names, but I have to say that the graphics of the game are absolutely beautiful. I was honestly blown away.
As for favorite FF games, mine is and always will be FF8.

I was abducted by aliens. They took me to the intergalactic council. I spoke for the Milky Way galaxy and now it's a popular vacation spot, especially for the guys from the Andromeda galaxy. Also our depiction of "the grays" really pisses everyone off. There are no "grays" out there. They are all actually a form of blue, and they are pets like how dogs are for us. They don't fly crafts. The "flying saucer" thing is another one that pisses everyone off. No one has ever used a craft like that. They gave me alien food, that was surprisingly really good. I didn't ask what it was, I just ate with them. Afterwards they took me to the chief of the council, and it turned out to be none other than Vrillon himself! I was both shocked and honored. I told him that we had received his message, but had not heeded it. He was really disappointed. He was however happy that I had however. He even gave me a device to use that would get me and everyone I care about off the planet when it all goes to shit. Then he said it was time for me to go back, and they beamed me down, like Star Trek. That was a weird ride. After that they were gone.

Yes there is life out there. Whether we will ever encounter is is irrelevant. It is there. Anyone who says it's not is a narcissistic arrogant fool. When you realize that the Universe is infinite, and that there is an uncountable number of galaxies out there, with an uncountable number of solar systems and an uncountable number of planets, it is 100% impossible for there to NOT be life out there. The only life that we're publicly aware of, is the life that comes from this planet. yet our habitable zone could be the deadliest zone to other life forms. Some may require the furthest depths of Jupiter to survive. There may even be creatures near the core of Jupiter. We don't know, because as a species we have neither the technology nor the capabilities to reach that far. Others may require the conditions of Venus to survive. Their version of water may be sulfuric acid. A temperate day to them could be 900°. There may even be life that lives inside a star. We simply haven't met that life.
Remember that scientists are discovering new life every day. It's almost always insects or new forms of bacteria. And when you consider that the Universe is infinite and compare the size of our planet, Earth doesn't even exist. Earth is a very small planet. But in the grand scheme of things, it's not even an electron on an electrons ass. We simply don't exist, nor does our planet in comparison. Especially when you consider planets like HD 81817 b, which is more than 27 times the size of Jupiter. Thus making it the largest exoplanet we have discovered to date. But it could be irrelevant as well. There could be a planet out there beyond our sight, that is bigger than our entire solar system. That would be interesting.
And like I said, whether or not we ever encounter alien life is irrelevant. It is still out there.
