Not at all true. You can run the android phones without google. A lot of people are using the Lineage OS and the few other android MODs for this type of the purpose.

Game has same story and gameplay on both devices. switch has the controller meanwhile you use virtual ones on android devices, only controller experience varies.

A lot needs to reveal to be honest. for example, if you check MK series you would definitely see the difference among fights. Same with Injustice 1 and 2. I think it all depends though RPG is not popular yet it has some strong userbase, they may be cheaper games but they have some userbase which plays them.
