Yes, they have good features which many other people copy. And they release all of this for free in exchange for stealing your data. But yeah cost to be paid.
It's a good model though a bit expensive if you ask me. I'd definitely prefer this long term considering for laptop users this can be pretty much usable in odd places.
I think the support for specific hardware is what windows is looking at from this point onwards. linux is not discriminative like that it supports everything in past.
I think sometimes selling out does not mean profit either. it is something like you sell so that others can build or continue on it. I know If I were to be managing many games i wont be doing justice to many of them.
I am surprised that each year the console seems to get new demand and that is kind of slowly helping the developers and ecosystem in general. I assume this means many portable devices with ability to have playable games has some future.
These days however a lot of pro gamers are being contacted by guild or the team game agencies and are hired for the game teams with contract based on their performance.
Another thing is that since the chinese virus making the economy around the world so bad even the 19.99 price tag often looks expensive for some of the accessory buy. So it's kind of like retro games going slowly expensive over the years as the demand of such scarce thing even more expensive.
Pain from gaming playing with those controllers and even the mobile these days ? yes. Same with wii based stuff where you have to do those things to play. Too much of anything ... as they say.
We mostly buy from the newegg as they ship internationally. And also switch is one time investment for most of the games. I don't keep on buying minor upgraded models like those 4k support one. But apart from that I think if you want to play switch based games then it's worth a buy.
Check the angry alien trailers which used to be flash based in the past. They made good content , though not gaming related.

I suppose these guys too have moved to html5 now? I guess so.
Yes dexters game can get a lot of genres mixed up. I suppose the FPS style would win the race as it would be easier for them and also a lot of audience may prefer that.
In that context I'd say "return to castle wolfestein's" uber soldat levels were scary, not because of any ghost or so but the soldier being too deadly his movement made many players scary.
I think only the RPG maker company seems to be giving a room for making the developers those classic retro style RPG games other wise even the RPG genre in itself has changed a lot thanks to square enix mixing FPS with turn based RPG to something different in many games of their lineup.
